Renathan wasn't one to go buy the cart very often at all, however, he was running an errand again, since he was going to be in the vicinity. He was to pick up two psychic injections and a... Cold injection, yes, he could remember that. He should have written it down, perhaps, but he did manage to remember it all the way up to the cart. Auburn sits on his shoulder, trilling softly, fluffing up her little mane and wings. "Cool it, Auburn." She held her wings to her more calmly.
The russet mammalian steps up to the cart, as always watching his back along the way there, since it always felt a little bit back-alley. He walks up to the cart, and speaks. "Hello, I'm after some specific injections. I hope you keep multiple of some of them?" He said, grinning beneath the mask. Voice jovial, but not excitable. This was one of those individuals that always seemed to be able to procure odd things that no one else could...
Alan smiled at the customer, always happy to see someone who knew what they wanted up front. "Of course I do." He said, gesturing to the suite of injections he had, contained in locked cases for display. "Which ones were you looking for today?"
Renathan wrapped his tails around his ankles without thinking much about it. He always did that when he was nervous, it was pretty much an obvious tell, but surely the shop-keep here would be pretty used to customers being nervous after going through the areas of the City to get to the cart. Renathan gave a respectful incline of his head and then spoke. "You are a life-saver!" He said, knowing that it was a slight buttering but at the very least it was positive. Auburn nestled into Renathan's neck braids as he detailed what he needed. "I'm in need of two Psychic Injections and a single Cold Injection." He said, already grabbing for his coin satchel. He knew that it would cost a pretty penny, he had been handed enough for the purchase of them and then some, so he wasn't too worried about the costs- they weren't really for him anyway.
Alan smiled, always happy to get a compliment. "Well, I certainly appreciate it. Let me get those for you." He said and turned to one of his chests, undoing a flurry of locks before finally getting to the compartment he kept his stock of injections in. He took the two out and held them in his hand, swirls of energy seeping through his fingers. "There we go. Three injections- that will be 1500 credits, if you don't mind." He said politely.
Renathan was always a little off-put by this shopkeeper. It was originally just the culture shock; the first time Renathan had come here he had just migrated here after all. He had only known a little Ssashirk then and it wasn't really enough to get him along, not in the Labs. He'd gotten someone to transcribe for him, thankfully. The mammalian patted the Izer up on his shoulder and he then went to search around for the credits. What was the price again? He thought that... "1,500 credits? Are you sure?" He counted it out any-way for him. "Aren't the psychic injections 800 a piece, and the cold injection 600?" He'd come for lots of injections, in the past. "Of course I wouldn't mind the discount, Mister-" What was his name? "Alan, but I reckon I aught to pay you the full 2,200, right?" He didn't want to accidentally pay too little!
A moment of panic shot through Alan as the customer protested. He checked the price tags on the injections he was holding, and then at the other ones in the box- they had been mislabeled. "Ah! You're absolutely right, friend. Thank you for catching that! These injections were mislabeled, my mistake. You're absolutely right, that's 2,200 credits." He said, trying to not let his smile break. That was a close one- though he was surprised that the customer didn't keep quiet about such a steep discount.
Renathan was perhaps one of those good fellows that was too good for their own good. Anyone else would have walked away with that discount, high-stepping it. However, the mammalian was not that kind of a person. Plus, he had gotten paid to do this run, and it would have been a bigger cut for him if he didn't say anything. Still, Renathan was who he was, and no one was really around to judge him. "Sure, No problem! Here's the rest of it." He counted the rest of it out with Auburn trilling on his shoulder. He remembered buying both psychic and cold injections in the past, one for DoW, one for Auburn... He knew that the prices were a lot higher than what had been told to him. After he was done counting it out, he handed it all over. "There you are sir!" Poor Too-Good Ren, two-thousand and two hundred credits lighter.
Alan counted up the credits carefully, making sure that he didn't make TWO mistakes in one day. It was all there though, so he locked it away and handed over the injections. "Looks like we're all set. Here's your injections- be sure you choose who they go to carefully." He said, his slight smile never leaving his face. A transaction well made- even if it was a little bumpy to start with.
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?

Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.

Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)

Riku: I got three pet levels and 15c out of it. <3 And all the necessary posts for my job salary form.
May 31, 2020 18:49:26 GMT -6
Riku: In mine my crossbreed used foxfire to burn it - but then it used incendiary illusion, which was extra scary because my cross is a plant pet with thick fur. It used the distraction to escape. I’m proud of it, and it’s okay that I won’t finish this month.

Renathan: *But of course, the RNG was not having that. / In Morgan's story, the Nyssa was a real thing, so I wanted to have two different situations for the variety.
May 31, 2020 18:15:27 GMT -6
Renathan: Yeah, the 'finished the story but the RNGods are being a butt' thing is a rather unfortunate situation to be in. I had already decided that in Ren's story, the elderly woman had lied about the nyssa and just wanted someone to talk to*
May 31, 2020 18:14:49 GMT -6
Riku: That makes sense. I've considered that before. -nod- I hope your non-hxr life is going smoothly.

Haix: Just quitting the job. Don't believe I'll be making the ten posts required per month any time soon. XD
May 31, 2020 16:34:01 GMT -6
Riku: Note to haix, I believe you can post the new application form at the same time as the quitting form. Unless you are simply taking an overall break from the job system.

Fiera Ferella: even AT the gardens yet. XD It sucks when you've finished writing your story and haven't gotten a success, because then its like "well... now what?" XD
May 31, 2020 15:51:47 GMT -6
Fiera Ferella: ive found that when there's a quest that might take longer like this, its a good idea to try and space out the story beats to try and roll a success before i get to the meat of the story. XD Like, by the time i was 5 posts in my character wasn't
