It was certainly an interesting shop concept, Seveth would give it that much. He'd never even heard of half the things that were apparently on offer here. And since he was the one who had put in the work, he figured he ought to be the one who got to spend the rewards too. If that other guy wanted to get in on the action, then he could do it on his own next month.
Ichaival declined to follow him in, but that was fine. Seveth was a big boy, and didn't need a dragon's nagging to get through one transaction. He greeted the shopkeeper with a smile. "Hi! Nice shop you have here," he said, motioning to their surroundings. "Say, I heard this is the place to shop if I've got points on one of these cards?" He brandished the one he'd been given when that whole tree planting business had wound down.
Jolyne squints at this new customer, and her face stays calm and nuetral. "What all do we offer?" She asks, incredulously. Really? Was this person jerking her around? Most people that didn't know just looked around, she had plenty of posters up on the walls in lots of different languages- she'd thought about that. "We've got signs." She said. "Items, a couple-a critters, credits-" She was practically dripping malice at this point. "A training session for pets. I dunno, check tha signs." She sometimes wondered why she even took this job.
Seveth blinked, caught off guard by the blatant animosity in the woman's tone. "Whoa there," he said. Maybe he ought to have had Ichaival with him after all... But no, on second thought, she might have just thrown them both out. It was impossible, sadly, to tell apart creatures of reason from the big beasts they liked so much here at a glance, and Ichaival did bear some resemblance to those crazy cockfight dragons if you didn't look too closely.
"I was just wondering if there was anything else. You know, secret menu stuff." Seveth wiggled his fingers in a vague little gesture. "But, ah, thank you for enlightening me, I'll stick to the signs. Hmm."
They needed credits, that was for sure, but... that would be too easy, and he did kind of want to spite San a little for making him do the grunt work. "What's that you said about a training session? How many hours can I get with what I have?" he said, presenting her with the card.
Secret menu? What even was that? Jolyne placed a hand to her forehead and rubbed. Yeah, this secondary job was sometimes a little more trouble than it was worth. "Training sessions- yeah, 1 QP for like, a couple of hours or somethin'. Lots of professional trainers willing to do work." She said, looking up. She took the card, ran it in the machine that checked how much they had. "Yeah, yeh have enough. How many training hours would you like? An what kind of creature?"
Seveth was feeling impulsive, so he grinned and said, "As many hours as you can get me!" Which probably wasn't a huge amount, since he'd only done the one job so far, but then no one could be upset with him for overspending, right?
As for what kind of creature... "You mind if I get back to you on what I want trained though? I've just got... you know, so many creatures. Decisions decisions, and all that." That was what he got for coming in here with nothing specific in mind, he supposed. "I'll come back once I've figured out what all I want trained." He could use some protection, maybe. It might be fun to be part of the big menacing monster club they had going on here. Or maybe a little critter with a lot of tricks... Well, whatever it was, if he didn't have to do the work himself, so much the better!
OOC: Hope it's okay to just specify the pet in my first post and to not actually name the recipient IC
Oh, well, it looked like this individual had 3 QP, so that's... She did the math in her head. "Sure, I'll get a-hold of someone that can do your training- just come back whenever you figure out what you want trained." She kinda just wanted it to be over, now.
"So Come back whenever you get it figured out."
[Yeah, that's fine! We'll cut it here and get your QP deducted/levels posted.]
Riku: From what I loosely understand about the fish is that it isn't one-use, whereas the berry is. I feel like there wouldn't be any consequence of 'using' the fish...which I'd think just ooc wouldn't be counted for whatever rolls or whatever it is that it uses

Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?
Jun 1, 2020 6:09:21 GMT -6
Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)

Twilight-Claw: I am still interested in trading it for a green drake.

Ridelys: If you are still interested in a trade twilight, for your fidelity result, let me know.

Riku: I got three pet levels and 15c out of it. <3 And all the necessary posts for my job salary form.

Riku: In mine my crossbreed used foxfire to burn it - but then it used incendiary illusion, which was extra scary because my cross is a plant pet with thick fur. It used the distraction to escape. I’m proud of it, and it’s okay that I won’t finish this month.

Renathan: *But of course, the RNG was not having that. / In Morgan's story, the Nyssa was a real thing, so I wanted to have two different situations for the variety.
May 31, 2020 18:15:27 GMT -6
Renathan: Yeah, the 'finished the story but the RNGods are being a butt' thing is a rather unfortunate situation to be in. I had already decided that in Ren's story, the elderly woman had lied about the nyssa and just wanted someone to talk to*

Riku: That makes sense. I've considered that before. -nod- I hope your non-hxr life is going smoothly.

Haix: Just quitting the job. Don't believe I'll be making the ten posts required per month any time soon. XD
May 31, 2020 16:34:01 GMT -6
Riku: Note to haix, I believe you can post the new application form at the same time as the quitting form. Unless you are simply taking an overall break from the job system.

Fiera Ferella: even AT the gardens yet. XD It sucks when you've finished writing your story and haven't gotten a success, because then its like "well... now what?" XD
May 31, 2020 15:51:47 GMT -6
Fiera Ferella: ive found that when there's a quest that might take longer like this, its a good idea to try and space out the story beats to try and roll a success before i get to the meat of the story. XD Like, by the time i was 5 posts in my character wasn't
