I was reading the skills for riding, and I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out what skill/combo of skills I'd need to ride a flying crossbreed. In the Mount List thread, under Exotic Mounts, it says: It doesn't mention flying, and all crossbreeds are Exotic by default. Looking at the Ride Exotic Mount skill description: I think (if I'm reading this correctly), if you take 1 rank of Ride Exotic Mount, you can ride a specific land exotic AND/OR an exotic sea mount IF you can swim? I'm just not sure about the prerequisite for the flying one, since it says you need to "have learned to ride at least one land mount first". If my crossbreed is a 2-for-1 land and flying traveler, does that mean I can just take Ride Exotic Mount for it, and be able to ride it as a land and flying mount immediately? Since, technically, it would be my one 'land' mount that I've learned to ride? Or does this mean: - if I take Ride Exotic Mount, I can only use that crossbreed as a land mount - and then, after I take Ride Mount for an entirely different land creature, my Ride Exotic Mount rank would allow me to ride the crossbreed while flying afterwards? Or do neither of these apply, and if I want to ride a flying crossbreed, there's no recourse for me except to just spring for Ghost Rider at some point?

It sounds to me like you need to take "ride mount" on a land creature, or "riding" for all land creatures of a type, before riding the exotic mount. Sarane are listed as flying mounts, even though they can serve as land mounts too, so if the pet is flying and land, it would count as flying and not either/or.
