Morgan had managed to get a ton of serpentine at the Trader's this month, and needless to say, they weren't a jewelsmith. They were pretty, sure, and excellent liquid currency- if one knew where to sell them. The human walked down the street with the gems hidden in one of their long and deep pockets in a large pouch, and then stepped up to The Underground's shop when they finally got to it. They hadn't been here before, and honestly wasn't looking forward to the second reason why they were here today. The first, of course, was pleasant: They meant to offload some of this hoard. The second, was to buy mining equipment. They had told theirself they would never go down into the tunnels, but they were considering trying it out sometime.
The human goes directly to the front counter, to put the sack of gems on it before going on about what they were here for. "Hello. I'd like to get these serpentine appraised, a-and I'd like to buy a full set of mining equipment." Morgan said, glancing over their shoulder. Wow. Those were some ugly colors. They just had to be picky on colors too, didn't they?
Buying: x1 Mallet (10) x1 Shovel (20) x1 GREEN Flashlight (30) x1 TEAL Hard-Hat (40) x1 Pick (50) x1 Chisel (60) x1 Brush and Tweezer Set (70)
Kor placed his hand on the bag, but got a good look at his customer first. "Ah, you haven't been around here before, have you? I don't think I've seen your face." He said, raising an eyebrow before laughing. "Always good to have a new customer though!" He said, and opened the bag of serpentine. "Ah, a customer with good taste, too! These are very fine." He said, raising one to the light. Before he counted them up though, he put the set of mining equipment on the counter. "These should be 280 credits all together. Now let me take a look at these..."
After several minutes, Kor had the serpentine counted and appraised. "For the lot of these, I can give you 1,176 credits. Taking the 280 from that equipment out, that's 896 for you! I'm presuming that amenable to ya?" He said, crossing his arms.
Morgan was glad that this process was going over incredibly quickly and quite well. They weren't the biggest fan on doing their own errands, but these sorts of things tended to be much smoother whenever Morgan did it theirself (the selling of items, at least). The price quoted for the items were not even a drop in the bucket to Morgan, but they were quite pleased that the amount that they would get from the serpentines would be more than enough to cover it without Morgan having to worry about digging around in their wallet for trifles. "I h-haven't, admittedly, went mining before." They said, knowing fully that they were going to have to do their research on the matter. "That's certainly a-amenable. Thank you sir." Morgan said, kinda on auto-pilot. "Could I get a uh... green flashlight and a teal hard-hat?" Those colors at least sort of matched... Why did none of these colors match? Ah well. Not everything can be pleasant and matchy, even with access to credits.

The shopkeeper looked Morgan up and down for a moment and could definitely see that they hadn't been mining. Still, he wasn't one to judge- it was never too late to start! "Sounds great! And don't worry too much about mining- it's easy once you get started!" When Morgan asked about the equipment, he glanced at the pile- sure enough, the colors were mismatching. "Sure thing! Let me swap those out for you." He said, and went back to get the other colors. When they were all laid out on the counter, Kor looked back up to the customer. "Is that everything for today?" He asked.
Morgan nodded, not quite used to the kind words still. Sure, he was a shopkeeper, and it was generally good to make sales or buy goods with customers that felt more comfortable. A good way to ensure the customer was comfortable was to be kind. It was perhaps a little sad to any onlookers from outside of the multiple situations Morgan had been in that Morgan didn't automatically trust any kindness thrown their way. Still, they appreciated politeness. "Thank you." Morgan didn't usually throw that one around, but this individual was going out of his way, at that was also appreciated. Not everyone would do that. "I appreciate the swap. Everything looks good to me." Morgan flashed one of those rare 'polite' smiles, feeling a little out of place, and then pulled another canvas bag out of one of their too-deep pockets, for the tools that they were buying. They had thought this through!

"Excellent! Here's your credits, then." He said, sliding the coins across the counter. "And here... is your equipment!" And he slid the rest of it across the counter toward Morgan. Kor preferred to turn a profit if he could, but it was always nice to see someone new get into mining.

Xentus: Contacted cubeupload about this and another issue I'd been having, turns out the image not updating may be a cloudflare issue. But, the server is getting an update hopefully over the weekend that'll resolve this

Morgan: Oh, neat! It is really cool to see the first draft. It really helps seeing the initial thoughts- I do love how he came out even more knowing the starting steps of the journey.

Morgan: Thank you, again. I know it was a lot of hard work to bring him to life.
Sept 30, 2020 23:46:58 GMT -6
Morgan: You did a great job. c: I love how his face looks, and that wing aura is probably my favorite thing about him. I've kinda associated constellation-y stuff with Morgan's magic before I even had Morgan onsite, and it really ties them together.
Sept 30, 2020 23:46:37 GMT -6
Xentus: I was afraid I didn't apply his concepts very well actually heh. The mask inspired his markings and his face shape vaguely. If you look closely at his wing arua, there's little constellations

Morgan: I'm sorry I probably didn't give the easiest concept/idea/body type to image combo, but you really, really knocked it out of the park and he came out even better than hoped. <3
