Jack sighed a little as Heathen pulled ahead of her off of the leash, trotting forward until she could almost not see him. "Heathen!" she snapped, and he stopped and glowered at her before thumping his tail on the ground once and came back over to her. He was excited, he was meeting another Houluh from outside of the Kennel, which meant he was going to have fun, and there was nothing she could do to stop him. Jack shook her head a little and patted him on the head before moving on to the Breeding Center and waited outside for the moment, wondering what she was going to do with him. She honestly really wanted to put the leash back on him, but she knew what that would entail. If she wanted to do that, there was a lot of fighting involved, and that was no fun. Oh well, she stood there, leaning against the Center, Heathen at her feet for the moment, and waited.

Nadia was, admittedly, rather nervous. The breeding centre was a new and alien place to her, even though she had been there in the past - a lot had transpired since her last visit, which had been a flying one. It was on behalf of her houluh that she was making the trip in the first place. Hael was a beautiful girl, and that was a desirable thing. It wouldn't hurt to see if she got along with someone's patronne. Seeing a person awaiting her outside eased her anxiety in one respect, but made her awfully shy in the other. To meet like this...! It seemed almost improper to begin a friendship on such grounds. Still, she gave the other woman a timid smile; Hael stood next to her, wagging her tail with excitement. "Jack? A pleasure to meet you," She said, extending a hand. "I am Nadia, and this is my dear Hael." (2/20)

Jack perked up when she saw the other woman with the Matronne walk down the way to the Breeding Center, toward herself and Heathen. She grinned a little and waved, hoping this was who she was waiting for at least, and then shook hands with her when she was close enough and was extended a hand, "Jack, nice to meet you Nadia!" Her eyes and Heathen's eyes traveled over to the Matronne and she grinned, kneeling down and reaching out to put out a hand for the Matronne. "I'm super excited to see her all grown! I haven't see her since she was born!" she exclaimed, and Heathen wagged his tail as he sniffed at her, "I'm so happy she went to someone who seems to love her enough to get her even this far!" The woman smiled and stood up again to open the door for the other woman and the two Houluh, "After you? Just a little bit of paperwork to do to start off with."

Nadia had to think for a moment. Jack had seen Hael before...? Ah, of course! She must've been the owner of one of her parents! That made the breeding feel less strange, and she managed to relax more, her smile taking on a more easygoing appearance. Phew. Hael seemed just as thrilled to see Jack, with her bottom end wiggling with the force of her wagging tail. "She is a darling. I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her," She said, giggling when she saw Hael lick Jack's hand. "How could anyone resist such a face, hm?" She was grateful to be let in before Jack, and looked around as she did. It was the same as it had been last time - not cold by any means, but official and clean, built for purpose. Hael was hanging back, looking curiously at the patronne. Gelert wasn't mature yet, so it was her first time interacting with one. (4/20)

"I'm so glad, I felt terrible having to let her go to the HAA, but rules are rules," Jack sighed, entering into the Center after Nadia and the two Houluh. Heathen bounded over to Hael and sniffed at her some more before batting at one of her ears and barking. He wanted to play, didn't matter what the woman wanted from them, he would only do what he wanted to do. Unless she said a word, of course, but that was different. Sniffing a little, he shook his head, his own ears flopping around a little, he didn't know what else to do, other than to play!
"I have her mother, Luna, and her brother, Red. Morgan has her father, Nico, and her sister, Selene," she explained with a smile as she picked up the paperwork and started to fill it out, explaining a few of the more complicated parts to the other woman. It would take Nadia a little more time considering she had to fill out the genealogy.

Nadia highly appreciated Jack's assistance. Though she was rather fond of doing paperwork (oddly enough), she was unfamiliar with the nuances of the breeding centre's forms, and would have found it difficult had she gone alone. Thank goodness for a friend. "What lovely names! Yes, I imagine it is very hard, to let one go," She said as she scribbled into the geneaology boxes. "I can hardly bear the thought, but I suppose they all get well looked after in the end... I doubt Murr would permit anything less." As playful as Hael was by nature, she was a little shy of the patronne's openly bold behaviour! She stepped back a little when he touched her ear, making a soft whine, but once she realised that he was only being friendly, her tail began to wag again. They could be friends! She skittered closer to boop him with her nose. (6/20)

"Oh certainly," she agreed as she watched Nadia fill out the paperwork to the best of her abilities, "Murr wouldn't let a pup go to a bad home no way no how. Will you be alright, letting go of one of these?" Jack tilted her head and watched for any nuance on the other woman's face when she asked to see what it might entail. Hopefully she would be alright when it was all said and done, but it was still hard, her last breeding of Luna's had been particularly difficult. "Oh! Luna and Nico had another litter not too long ago, silky babies, so Hael has three more full blooded brothers and sisters! Isn't that cool?" Jack asked with a smile on her face.
Heathen pounced around for a moment or two before barking again and pretending to fall over when she booped him with her nose. He smirked a little from under a large, floppy ear, and pawed at her front legs a little, what did she want to play?

It would no doubt be difficult. The first time was always the hardest, though, wasn't it? Nadia finished off her paperwork and gave Jack a sheepish smile, her shoulders raising in a little shrug. "I cannot be certain of how I will respond, but I will do my best to be alright. I know that they will be taken care of, and that is the only thing that matters in the end, isn't it?" She slid the papers back across to the receptionist. "Thank you. I believe everything is in order now, is it not?" Hael was very excited to have a playmate at last, but lacked conviction as to what they should do. She tipped her head, staring at Heathen - there wasn't a lot of room for them to run around in the reception... otherwise, they could play chase. "Oh, wonderful. Three additional little miracles," Nadia said. "I would love to meet them at some point." (8/20)

"At least I'll be there to help you out if you need it, you can always find me somewhere if you need to talk, too," Jack told her with an encouraging smile. It was always hard to part with the pups, but that was the price you had to pay to breed, and she was certainly a breeder at this point. Maybe she needed to rethink her image, but there was enough damage done right now, she didn't think there was anything else she could do about it.
Heathen slyly looked around and glanced over at the woman for a moment before woofing for Hael to follow him down into the hallway where the rooms seemed to be. They could play down there, no one else was there, after all!
"Oh I bet! You can certainly meet mine if you'd like, and I know the third is still in the HAA as of right now, so you could at least see that one there."

Nadia was warmed by such a kind offer. They hadn't known each other that long, so she appreciated it immensely - she lacked people to talk to in general, so the notion of a new source was delightful. "Thank you, Jack. I am very grateful for your assistance," She said, and then gestured in the direction of the rooms. "Shall we?" Hael was off like a shot before her human had even turned around, skidding past Heathen in her excitement. Yes, some room to run! She cast a glance over her shoulder, as if beckoning him to follow, her tail wagging furiously. The sound of her nails on the floor had Nadia cringing. "Hael, please, a little decorum," She called, though she was smiling and it was lighthearted. "She is forever excited. My other pup is nothing like her... he's a good lad, but quieter. The most serious puppy I have ever known." (10/20)

"After you!" Jack said with a smile, hoping to see how things went. She liked the other woman, certainly, and they had just met, but she felt she had a decent judge of character and there were certain people she didn't mesh with of course, but she felt like she and Nadia could at least be friends. That was going to be great, she thought, she always needed more friends. What if Nadia and Fiera met eventually? Oh man, she didn't know if she could do that to the shy other woman.
Heathen's tongue lolled out of his mouth as he chased after the Matronne, skidding to a stop when the woman called for him. He turned and whined at her, and the woman just laughed a little, "Oh come on Heathen, you don't have to act out your name all the time." She opened the door to a room and nodded for Nadia and the two Houluh to go in before she did.

Hael didn't care a jot for what Nadia thought of her behaviour. She was just too excited! Having a playmate was the best thing in the world - Gelert was a grumpy boy and never wanted to have fun, plus he was only a baby. A mature houluh (and quite a good looking one too!) was exactly what she needed. When she trotted into the room, her tail was held high and proud. "What a charming name," Nadia said with a giggle. The room was rather nice; she made her way over to the chairs set up for the breeders and took a seat. Ooh, comfy. "Is he as much mischief as it suggests?" Talking to Jack casually was keeping her mind off of how strange all of it was to her. They would wait together until their companions decided whether or not they wanted to mate. Back in her homeland, such a thing would never have come to pass. (12/20)

"Oh he's a heathen alright," Jack grumbled as he shot past her into the room after Hael. She smirked a little at him and then shook her head as he bowed down to the Matronne and then tore off across the room, inviting her to a game of chase. Or cat and mouse, either way was fine. He was just happy someone would play with him, the others back home were either too stuffy or too little for his playing, and that bothered him a little at the same time.
Jack pushed her hair back and sat down next to Nadia with a smile on her face, wondering what to talk about when she was asked the question. "Yeah, he gets into everything, and the training doesn't really matter in the long run it seems. Oh well, he has fun and he doesn't tear stuff up as much as he could, so he's got that going for him."

"You know, I understand that rather well," Nadia replied with an amused smile on her face. "Though, admittedly not with a houluh. I have an equillion as it happens... he's called Dodger, and he is riotous. He thrives off of causing mayhem. I would never believe he was a pure if I could not see him with my own eyes." Hael took off after Heathen with an excited bark. Yes, finally! They had space to run and play without being told off! She took great bounding strides towards him and pounced, hoping to knock him over so they could tussle. "My goodness, she's boisterous," Nadia winced as she watched her companion go. At home, she wasn't quite so wild, but it was understandable that she had plenty of pent up energy to expend with someone of her own species. "She would never hurt him, but... I best keep an eye out." (14/20)
