Morgan watched Mink for a moment, and sipped on their coffee. It was nice, being able to actually finish the coffee before the breeding was done. It had gone cold the last few times they had done breedings and such. Well, it did seem like perhaps today was going to be an easy, calm, and fine day. Just as well, since the human hadn't really been feeling well today at all. "It's understandable." Morgan said, nodding along. They found the chair a little uncomfortable, and shifted forward slightly to alleviate the pressure on their back. They weren't really in any hurry to get any more houluh pups for a bit, at least until they got some of the ones they already had worked on.
Mink wasn't sure what to think about the patronne yet, but she was starting to realize that he wasn't really purposefully being offensive, at least. He was just... Flippant. That was... Not something she was used to? Get dirty sometimes, huh? She looked down at her paws, and then up at him. What do you do for fun, huh?

"I suppose, I mean, there's only so much you can do in a day after all," Jack added, rubbing her hands together. It was a little cool in the building for this time of year, but it had been a strange year at that. Jack wasn't sure what to do with herself, so she contented herself to be awkward for now, she supposed, and gave a small sigh. It wasn't like she didn't know what to do and all that, but it was like she really didn't want to do anything in the end of it all. Shrugging, she leaned back in her chair and thought about what to do after this.
He waggled his brow at her and then slid his front paws out in front of him, a classic 'let's play' gesture, What, you've never run around without a reason before? How boring. With that, he took off around the building again, tearing around the corners to try and get some energy out.

That was true, Morgan did have to agree with that, at least. The human glanced across the room, out towards the window. It was nice out there, and it was definitely cool in the building. They sort of wished they could go out and stand in the sun for a bit, but then again, they did have to do this breeding in this building- it was part of the rules, for just in case anything went wrong. "That is true." Morgan said, nodding. "I-I do have other things I need to get done... My poor tat-family h-has been waiting to learn to read so patiently." They admitted. That was partially their fault, they just didn't feel like they had enough hours in the day.
Mink watched the let's play gesture, and realized she was standing very stiffly, with her tail even straight up and stiff. She loosened up a bit, but consciously. It wasn't that she couldn't play! It's just that she hadn't really wanted to. She liked to rest and such. Sometimes she went out with Cozette, but they mostly explored the property. Wait? Where was he going? She followed, sort of slower, curiously.

"Oh I'm sure they'll have fun with that!" she said happily, telling herself she really needed to teach her own Tat-lung, though some of them still had to hatch and all that. Jack rubbed her face, she was a horrible person to live with, she didn't know how Renathan was going to handle living with her after awhile, but that might be his problem, and she smiled into her hands a little as she thought of him. The thought of her busy fiance always made her happy, she knew, and she hoped he was having a good time now and wasn't working too terribly hard.
Heathen tore off down the hallway as Mink slowly followed, and then ran back, hiding around the corner so he could jump out and bark at her when she neared the corner as well. It was fun to try and scare others, he knew, and he wiggled his tail a little from side to side as he waited.

Morgan did enjoy the idea of teaching their tat-family how to read, but they weren't sure how to do that yet? They'd been trying to figure it out to teach Ryuusei and Seimei, let alone Millicent, who definitely deserved to be taught to look up her own answers (sooner rather than later, Morgan thought- they were so tired of the 'why is the sky blue' sort of questions she asked constantly). They couldn't help but grin just thinking about it, even though they had quite a bit of anxiety about what the best way to go about that would be. "Well, i-it looks like the houluh are getting along a little bit better... A little anyway." Morgan said. That was good- they weren't sure if they could take much longer of this funk the two had been in earlier.
Mink had to speed up to try to follow the patronne, but when he jumped out at her she found herself falling on her butt. Oh, how undignified! However, instead of getting mad, she found herself feeling... Happy. This was nice! She wagged her tail, having warmed up to him a bit. Oh, he wasn't too terrible she guessed.

Jack nodded a bit, they were indeed getting along better, which was good considering how out of control Heathen could be at times. She smiled a little and rubbed her face, "Yeah, and that's certainly a good thing. Can't really do a breeding without them getting along, can we?" It was a rhetorical question, she knew it was when she posed it, and she didn't mind not getting an answer, not like it really mattered one way or another.
Barking a laugh, Heathen panted happily and reached out to lick her on the cheek, See? Have fun sometimes! He wiggled his tail from side to side and he hoped they could play together more before all of this was over. Of course he knew why they were there, but that didn't matter as long as they had some fun, which was hard to come by sometimes. Sure, he had the others at the Kennel, but what was the point?
