Oh this was going to be so much fun, Shayna loved running her contests and figured this was time to run one that hadn't been done for quite some time. "Time for an Agility Run! Get your swiftest pet and bring them in, see what they can run circles around!"
In order to enter, just post here! Come to the Contest Hall IC and get your pet signed up for the competition. Include your pets' image and full stats, as well as any items they were groomed with or will be wearing in the show ring. Once registration closes, the show ring will open to show off your pet! As long as you make one post in the show ring, you'll get a participation prize ~

Renathan hadn't been to the Contest Hall in a long time. It wasn't that he didn't want to, it was just that he didn't have a lot of time. When he had heard that there was an agility run coming up, he'd originally wanted to take Shy Guy with him. Shy Guy was, after all, quite agile (Renathan had just had to tell him to get off of the roof of the dang house again, for the umpteenth time). However, Renathan decided to take Auburn with him at the last minute instead. She hadn't been getting out a lot lately, and though she had won several contests before, Renathan was sure that she wouldn't win this one. It would just be a fun bit of exercise for her!
The russet mammalian steps up to the registration counter, with Auburn on his shoulder, and then reaches out for the registration papers. "Hello, I'm Renathan, and I'd like to enter Auburn into the Agility Run." He said. Normally he'd find irony in that statement, with a bird on his shoulder, but Auburn really could run with those long front legs of hers, at least for short dashing spurts. He finished registering her, and then hoped for the best.

The last time she had come to the contest hall, she had brought along a decently trained slave hound who was little more than half her size. This time the creature trailing behind her was more than twice as large as her, trained in only a handful of commands, and was dragging himself behind her as if he could hide his massive bulk behind her and the rope that linked him to her. His cloth-thin wings were pressed firmly to his back and his antennae were twitching around his otherwise still head as he followed her deeper into the building.
They reached the table without issue. She could not easily read the faces of the soft-skins as she introduced the vespa and herself and stated why they were there, filling out the form they handed her as required. She was counting on the first part of the contest name to be enough, for if she could get him into the air, the vespa would have no lack of agility. The stop and go jerkiness of his walking as she led him away, seemingly even more exaggerated than usual as he frequently paused to swipe at his eyes or antennae with a foreleg, removed any doubt that he might score even a single point if the agility run only allowed creatures that could run.

“Oh wow, there are not that many people this time.” She couldn’t help but notice when she opened the door of the Contest hall that is also directly the registration room. Keeping the door open so that she can let Rayak go first, before she did herself and closing it behind her. This time if the companions of the people inside the room are anything to go by, there are only two other people intending to enter this particular contest. ‘ Only four people?’ She hears Rayak comment in her mind as he seems to be looking around as well, flicking his ears in every direction whenever he hears a sound, also noting how few people there actually are here. ‘ Seems so, two of our compettitors likely, and then two workers of the Contest Hall organisation.’ That one of them is also the announcer Shayna currently behind the desk goes without saying. With no waiting line in sight, it seems they were already done with registering, so she is quick to go to the desk. “Hello, I am Twilight, and I’d like to register my Kind Mosca Rayak.” She says towards Shayna, petting Rayak lightly on the head when he came close enough at her side to sit down and wait patiently for this to be done with. He’d been to plenty of different contests before, he knows enough to at least be able to perform something to both his liking and that of everyone else. Rayak LV 303.4, LY 243.4 Twilight - Logged

Level: 11 Loyalty: 29 Stamina: 3 Strength: 2 Resistance: 2 Dexterity: 4 Mentality: 4 Special Abilities: Complex Thought, Opposable Thumbs Moves: Bite, Dash Taught: Name, Come, Stay, No, Follow, Sit, Lay Down, Tolerance, Accept Sudden Movements The contest hall was open again, looking for new contestants for the Agility Run. Silver vaguely remembered a past agility contest they were in with... Sylvie? That seemed right, but they couldn't recall the outcome. Either way, she must have been on their mind when they went to select a companion for the next contest, since they chose Rena, another Vulpine turned Felusine just like Sylvie. She was really well behaved, and pretty quick as well. They weren't sure that she'd be the most impressive creature there, but she seemed right for it. It wasn't about beauty or awe, anyway. This one was all about running, and if they knew anything about Rena, she loved to run. Rena happily followed along at their heels as they came into the contest hall and filled out the paperwork to register her. She put her paw up on the form as Silver was filling it out, almost like she was trying to help him. "I don't think your writing skills are what's on show here," they said with a laugh. "Ah, here you go," they said with a smile, passing the finished forms back. They had become used to the process and the judges by now so they were much more comfortable around them. Now the crowd and other contestants? That was another story. At least they had Quintessence there to keep them company while Rena ran the track. [108.3 - 12.2, 11.2]

She'd run Caiman through the three fights in a row as promised, and now had a few days leyway, as she had no idea on what to actually teach him. A rumor circulated around the city of another tournament on the horizon but since the previous... time, she wasn't keen on doing so. However, she wanted to exercise all her sarane for the hot season. Not during the hot of the day though. Dune however, would do fine. He had gold blood in his veins, and that breed dwelled in hot places. He stretched out of his barrel, seeing her come into the area, with a flyer in hand. Reading over the newest contest that had opened up. Who was actually swift? Her first thought lingered on Nimbus, but he wasn't... a great flyer just yet. But swift didn't mean FLYING. {I am swift?} the curious questioning thought came from the striped drake as he shook himself out from a very nice warm sun nap. That was an idea... she had worked with Dune to improve his instant movements. That might be a good idea. Yeah. [How about showing off that swiftness of yours?] she asked him, earning a curious feeling question. And that's how Ridelys and Dune-Eye came to the contest hall, and registered. 1

Aster hadn't planned on coming back so soon, but the last contest had gone... well. Against any and all expectations that he had held himself, he and Grunty had apparently made a good enough showing to put themselves in the winner's ring. Aster was pleasantly surprised, to say the least, even if Grunty was indifferent to the ribbon and anything it meant. And it just so happened that the next contest to open was an agility show, where Aster thought Avander could put some of his new skills to good use. And even if they didn't do well, at least there were points awarded for runners up, and the shop that dealt in them had some interesting things that the Pit didn't offer. Once he arrived, however, Aster began to feel a little more out of place. Most folks had brought smaller creatures to the sign-ups, and here he was walking in with a whole grown Wiurn. There was a Vespa, which was at least big enough to ride, but even so... No, Avander was fast. He was agile. There wasn't a size limit posted, anyway. "I'm here to sign up for the agility run," Aster said. If they wouldn’t take a Wiurn, they could say it to his face now, he supposed.

The contest hall was practically throbbing with people today, not that Fiera could blame them. An agility contest, huh? It sounded pretty fun, but Fiera had the feeling it would... no contest. She smiled quietly at her own pun as she approached the registration desk, shoving as many people out of the way as possible as she grabbed the sign-in papers. Behind her was Tenmei, who was freshly brushed and looking just as haughty. Like mother like daughter, so to speak. The lapis tat-lung had a personality just as primed to appreciate the finer things in life as her owner, and had taken on much of her snappy demeanor. She sat carefully and curled her tail over her front feet as she looked out at the other contestants. Oh sure, some of them looked quick, but she was sure she would be quicker. And prettier too, now that she thought of it.
