Another survey out of curiosity. :)
Personally, I rarely read other people's threads. I think it's an emotional/analytical process exhaustion, but I get drained reading or observing other people's art. My brain can't just sit and enjoy it. It breaks it up and analyzes it thoroughly. That's also why I usually don't listen to music people link to me. I have a 'safe' sensory bubble, and outside of that....is death. lol
However! I do rarely get curious. Sometimes when it's for research purposes (like training, quest success, mining process, etc) I'll find threads that seem promising. Sometimes I'll get curious about someone's plot or character patterns, so I'll skim and read dialogues/interactions/thought processes. Again, as research. Research works for me. I read a lot of non-fiction. Fiction, however, ironically is hard for me to read. I can write and watch fiction. Iunno. lol

I read plot threads for plots I'm interested in (mostly ones I've talked about with people beforehand), but I don't read any loot area or training posts, usually. Sometimes I skim someone's training if I want ideas on how to do my own, but not often.

That makes sense. Sometimes I hear about plots and would like to read....in theory. However, if I see the page of text I'm immediately intimidated out of it and revert to just waiting for a summary. lol Y'know what? People should put a TL;DR summary in the first post of threads they finish. LOL

It depends on the person. There have been a few people that I loved reading the posts of, and times where I just sought out their threads out to read even if it's not very plotty. But generally, no, I don't read much of other peoples' stuff.

*shrug* Considering I'm a mod I end up at least skimming most everyone's posts at some point lmaoooo
....Though now that I do think of it, I do read other peoples posts if they're training a trick I haven't done before and want to see how it worked out for others. :0

I got used to reading peoples posts before I retired, and embarrassingly, I never stopped. I don't read every single post ever or from every person onsite anymore, but I do tend to check in regularly and look through threads. I especially enjoy reading training threads because training is rough to find ideas for sometimes.
