Things were really starting to heat up for Fiera. Not in any sort of sense of interpersonal tension, of course. It was just that summer was here now, and things were getting really hot out. She was showing far more skin than she usually did right now, and even then she felt like she was practically boiling! She couldn't even wipe the sweat from her brow, as her arms were currently weighed down by the carriers holding the pachee for her next breeding. She had already made it most of the way to the breeding center but frankly the building couldn't show up soon enough for her. She grumbled to herself as she tried to pick up the pace a bit- and immediately regretted it as her body started sweating more to cover the extra effort. Ugh. She was going to smell like a men's locker room upon arrival at this rate, and that was NOT what she wanted peoples' first impression of her to be. (Even though she had already been to the breeding center dozens of times and most of its employees likely recognized her on sight by this point. Mostly because she had nearly gotten herself banned a couple times.)

Not that the near bannings that she had to talk her way out of were HER fault, that is. Those employees were just far too sensitive to her particular brand of speech. Yes, that was it. Just then however, she felt one of her pachee shift around in its carrier, and she had to adjust her grip on the handle to make sure she didn't end up dumping them one way or another. Both of these pachee were new to being bred, so she wasn't quite sure how easy this breeding was going to go. That being said though, if there was ever a time to breed pachee, it was now. The sun was blazing (to her personal displeasure), and it got all of her pachee riled up. They were plant creatures after all, so their photosynthesis was set to 'maximum' right now, giving them all an extra burst of energy they didn't have the rest of the year. Frankly, breeding as many of them as possible would probably help them burn off some steam more than anything else. They had been cooped up for far too long, so this would help them out. Of course, one of them she had only just added to her coop.

Pure Heart Healer was Fiera's newest pachee, and certainly the most interesting. The Labs had finally started offering pachee with addons again, and Fiera knew she had to snatch one up. She had put an order in, and her pachee had been one of the first ones finished and sent out. And man, what a beauty he was. Truly stunning. Pure Heart Healer, or Pure as she called him, had a pure white coat... at first glance. The longer you looked at him however, the more you realized that the pachee had an iridescence to him, glittering in shades of pink and blue with a sparkle to his pelt. Every time he moved, it caused a different color to be revealed despite appearing white overall. And his addons were another stunning part of him. A long, golden horn. Cloven, deerlike hooves on all four feet. An elegant, crownlike collar with a delicate chain lead. And a beautiful, flowing mane of a pale, shell pink color. He looked like something out of a storybook- exactly like Fiera wanted. He was an absolutely stunning creature, that was for sure. Fiera was sure that he would produce plenty of beautiful offspring for her.

His personality was... well, it was fine. He seemed rather airy headed. He didn't pay attention to much, and instead preferred to watch the world pass by around him. He would spend ages staring into a single puddle, but Fiera couldn't get him to look at her for more than three or so seconds. He seemed to much prefer the presence of nature over other pachee, and definitely over Fiera. He always stayed far from the other pachee, staring at some flower or another. Fiera was hoping that wouldn't cause her many problems today, though most of her males seemed to step up to the plate when it came down to it. She would just have to hope for the best... though the berries she had brought with her probably wouldn't hurt either. The breeding berries always seemed to help pachee get more in the mood, and they helped produce such pretty offspring too. Fiera had them in her purse now, bright and nutritious... though she had to admit she was starting to run out of them. She'd need to take another run to the store soon to pick up more. It would be best to buy them in bulk again, and stretch out the period between trips.

Still, she had another trip to be making right now. She had yet to get her pachee to the breeding center. Her female today was just as untested as Pure Heart Healer. Under a Rock, or Rocky, was the twin sister of another female pachee of hers, a rare find in a pachee breeding. As a result, Fiera considered her quite the auspicious little creature, and was looking to see if she could get just as lucky in this breeding. That being said, her appearance wasn't anything to sneeze at either. She had inherited traits from both of her fathers (as there had been two used in the breeding that produced her), including a thick, luscious mane and delicate horns. She was a pale, powdery tan but with a darker back and sparkling, peacock-like markings on her tail fern's leaves. She was quite an attractive pachee overall, and she couldn't wait to see how her genes mixed with Pure's. Still, she was an as of yet untested female. Usually she was pretty shy and demure, a reclusive creature, which could cause problems. And yet, Fiera could see that working to her advantage here- perhaps she and Pure would be able to sit quietly together.

Still, in order for her pair of pachee to have their little play date, Fiera had to get them to the breeding center first. Thankfully they were just about there, with Fiera turning the corner into the parking lot. Honestly, things would be a lot easier if she took a vehicle or rode her thundergug here, but sometimes getting all that together wasn't worth the effort. Though... she realized it probably was this time, as she stepped onto the tarmac and felt the heat radiate up from it. Her arms felt about the consistency of soup at that moment, but at least she was mere steps from getting in the building. Even at the front entrance, she could hear how hard the air conditioning was working to keep the interior cool, and desperately hoped it wouldn't break any time soon. As the doors slid open in front of her though, she stepped foot into what was practically heaven. The air was ice cold and even though she knew she needed to go up to the front desk to check in, Fiera couldn't help but flop in a nearby chair for a moment to just breathe and... dry off a little.

Thankfully, she managed to plop herself right under a ceiling vent and was able to just bask in it for a few minutes. When she finally cracked an eyelid however, she saw a breeding center employee looking at her carriers confusedly from where she had left them right in front of the front doors. It appeared that the consistent wiggling of the pachee inside was enough to make the sliding doors keep opening and closing. Fiera groaned and pushed herself up from her chair. "Those are mine! Don't touch em!" She said grumpily before sweeping them up off of the ground. Might as well get the check-in process over and done with, she thought with a yawn. She was feeling good enough for it now, after all. Thankfully there weren't many other people here and so she was in the clear to walk right up to the desk, her shoes clacking over the polished tile floors. She set the carriers back down in front of the desk, scooting them off to one side so they didn't get in her way. Her pachee peered at her curiously from behind the bars, clearly a bit confused. They had no idea what this place was, after all.

"Hi there I'm Fiera, here with Pure Hearted Healer and Under a Rock for a three thirty breeding room appointment." Fiera said all in one long, sort of exhausted sounding breath. She was still a bit woozy from the heat outside after all. The receptionist gave her a bit of a funny look but knew better than to try and question it, and wordlessly began searching through her computer. "Okay yes, here you are." She said, scratching her chin. "You're right on time, and your room is open right now!" She said cheerily, trying to raise the mood a bit. Fiera didn't respond, but the women began hitting even more buttons to try and get the humanish to stop melting all over her desk as soon as possible. Soon a tiny printer next to her squeaked to life and spat out a small receipt. "Here we go!" She said, handing it to Fiera. "Room eight, on the right. Enjoy your breeding!" She said, trying to subtly tell Fiera to leave already. Fiera took the receipt and managed to just barely avoid tripping over her own pachee carriers as she read it. Correct names, time, room number. "Yup, looks like we're all set you guys!" She said.

She picked up the carriers again, tucking one under each arm. The pachee shifted around again, clearly starting to get a bit grumpy at being dragged around all day. "Don't worry guys, you'll be out of there soon." She reassured and pushed open the double doors to the right of the front desk. She walked through a more gently lit hallway, counting up the doors. When she finally found door number eight, she set one carrier down and stacked the other one on top of it. Then she opened the door and slid them right on through. The room was the same as usual, a facsimile of a soft and earthy forest, but still slightly artificial and sterile to make for easy cleaning. Fiera walked over to the biggest rock she could find in the room, wide and flat. Then she opened her purse and got out the breeding berries. One tiny and orange, one bunch pink and grapelike, and one blue and pepperlike. She laid them out neatly on the rock before returning to the carriers to fetch her female. She popped open Rock's cage and lifted the pachee out. She seemed pretty nervous and curled in on herself.

"Shh, shh. it's ok! You're in a nice place now!" Fiera said in her best comforting voice (which wasn't, admittedly, great.) and set the fuzzy female down on the rock she had found. Rocky sat there for a moment, frozen in place, before she finally realized that there was food set down in front of her. The pachee leaned out cautiously and put a foot down on one berry. Fiera was pleased with this progress, and soon Rocky's nerves had eased enough for her to eat the fruits that Fiera had set before her. Now that she was primed and ready, Fiera released Pure from his cage as well. The male trotted out into the breeding area and immediately settled himself down in front of a flower they had set up near one corner of the room. Fiera sighed, irritated at his lack of interest in Rocky until she began walking over to him. She looked around nervously and Fiera realized that if anything was going to comfort her now, it was the presence of another pachee. She snuggled up next to the male, and they both sat together for a while. Soon they just looked completely relaxed, enjoying each others company. Finally, after nearly twenty minutes (yes, Fiera was counting.) she saw the slit on Rocky's head open, and Pure because gently waving his tail around, sending some pollen into the air. It wasn't the easiest breeding, but at least it was finally done.
