It was time to do something for herself again, she figured with a little sigh in her voice as she slowly walked along the pathway next to the road. Two little Pachee followed behind her, the male a custom she had bought from the Labs a long, long time ago, and the female an offspring she had bred not too long before. They were both lovely little things, the male had antlers and looked a little like Renathan, now that she thought of it, but the female was blue and white, with butterfly wings. Sure, she was breeding for the contest that was going on right now, but that was still going to be for her, she figured with a little smile on her face. It didn’t mean she was thrilled with it, or that it was going to be exciting, but hey, at least it was something she was doing for the first time in forever it seemed. Pushing her hair back, she slowly walked along, the two Pachee behind her as they stared at each other for a little while. The four elements was the theme, and in her eyes, you couldn’t get much more earthy than Bramble, and you couldn’t look more air than Morpho. Hopefully it would work out for her at least.

If anything, at least she had something to do, though she had a lot of things to do at the moment, and it was a little overwhelming. Sighing, she rubbed her face while walking, making sure the two Pachee followed on the leashes. Sure, they were a little used to her, but not too much at this point. Bramble had the added loyalty of a customized animal, but that was about it, it didn’t mean he liked her too much though. With a frown, she looked at the Breeding Center off in the distance, she wished there was something else she could do for the moment, but this was the best she could come up with. Maybe after the breeding she would finish up with Terrence or something, but that was going to be rough to think of as well. As long as she had work, however, then things would go well, she decided, and she shook her head a little with a smile on her face. There wasn’t much she could think of right now that would make much sense to her, but at least she had a goal to work toward eventually. Maybe she was getting too many Pachee, and she had thought to clear them out a little from time to time, but she didn’t know which ones to sell off, which was difficult for her to do anyway.

This was much easier than breeding Orbaru, however, she had to remember that. It took much less time to get quality offspring from Pachee, and doing it by herself, well, that was the best part she supposed, she didn’t have to share the offspring with other people. Smirking a little to herself, she hoped that wasn’t going to overwhelm her a little, but hey, things needed to happen the way they happened, and she was sure she needed a bigger garden plot soon enough with the way they were procreating. As she walked she rubbed her face, and the woman hoped she wasn’t biting off more than she could chew. Of course with Sarane being fertile again, she had so many new babies she didn’t know what to do with them sometimes. She certainly needed to work with them soon, this was going to be the best part, but getting them to where they didn’t want to kill her took forever, it seemed. Maybe she could go crystal hunting with them or something, that was what she used to do with them at least. Maybe she could get the order crystals she still needed, though that might be difficult without a familiar who knew the mines better than she did.

The two Pachee seemed to enjoy each other’s company at least, that had to be a good thing. Bramble was a fatherly Pachee anyway, and breeding him was a breeze, but she didn’t know how Morpho was going to be. Usually she didn’t have a problem breeding them, though sometimes it took a little longer than normal, but she didn’t think that would happen at this point. Jack pushed a hand through her hair and hoped that things would work out between them, wondering what was going to happen and if she should really give them the baby berry or not. She had a better chance of getting an antlered offspring with wings if she just didn’t give it to them, but if she had more than one, she could decide who to enter into the contest, right? Frowning, she didn’t know, it didn’t really matter, of course, but that was beside the point. Ah well, she had plenty to do after this, though it was hard for her to think of it sometimes. A lot of the time she just drifted around and did whatever suited her for the moment, but she really needed to get some structure to her life eventually. Maybe getting married would work out that way, but she doubted it, Renathan was a little more stable than she was, but it didn’t mean he wasn’t a bit of a drifter, right?

With the Breeding Center looming ever closer to her and the two Pachee, she looked at the newly updated building with a smile on her face. She liked to think she played a part in the update, she had donated some credits after all. The waiting room was now bigger and nicer, definitely playing a part in the subsequent breedings that happened of course, and they had hired more attendants it seemed, the last time she was in there at least. Jack chewed on her lip a little, the rooms looked a lot nicer too, no longer was the paint chipping and the carpet coming up, but they maintained it a little better now. She smiled, she loved being there a lot, but didn’t know what to expect from things right now. All she could do was wonder what she was going to do there in the future. Maybe eventually they would allow Sarane to breed there, but they were so violent most of the time, it was going to be hard for them to control things. At least people could pay for breedings again, though they always came out as tier one, from what she had seen at least. Someone had asked to breed a Gold to Alic until they got what they wanted, a rudder tailed Drake, and Alic was just thrilled to have more little ones to care for.

Jack thought about it, all three of the Hens she had gotten from the breedings seemed like they were growing hard growths on the ends of their tails. They would all have club tails like their mother, which was a bit of a shame, she liked variety, but that was one of her favorite tail types though, so she couldn’t complain too terribly much about it, right? She smiled and then opened the glass door to the building, ushering in the two Pachee and walking in after them. The attendants all knew her by now, with as often as she came to breed things, and she hoped that they would work well for her now that they had some new people as well. Waving, she went to the counter and filled out her paperwork, hoping she had it all down by now, but unsure in the long run sometimes. It was hard to remember some of the genealogy when she was rushing, not like they would get a room anytime soon, there were a lot of people there. Some of them she knew, others she didn’t, but she smiled all the same and then found a seat to sit in while the two Pachee played together at her feet.

With everything in order, all they had to do was wait. She liked that Pachee were silent, they couldn’t really make noise considering they didn’t have mouths. Maybe that was the best part about them, she didn’t really know. Rubbing her face, she settled into the chair and hoped that this would go somewhat quickly so she could get some other stuff done at the same time. Hopefully she could get Terrence to grow again soon, but she wasn’t going to hold her breath on that, working with a Seryn, even though she could talk to them, was a little difficult when it was just fishing at the same time. Sighing, she hoped it wouldn’t rain again today if she got to it, that was the worst part, even though Terrence had seemed to like it pretty well no matter what. Jack leaned back in the chair and smiled at the two Pachee down at her feet, watching as they beamed at her, hoping that they would breed quickly and without much else happening when they got to a room. Leaning on her hand, elbow on the arm of the chair, she wondered what was going to happen and what the offspring were going to look like. That was why she enjoyed breeding so much, the offspring and what they looked like, it would be great, and while she probably wouldn’t win the contest, that was fine by her.

Hopefully it wouldn’t take too long to get pulled back to a room with the two Pachee, but there wasn’t a guarantee on that either. Chuckling to herself, she looked down at the pair of them and saw them nuzzling up to each other a little. There wasn’t any pollen flying around yet, or at least none she could really see, but at the same time she didn’t know what else to think. Maybe the others were iffy on what was happening, but she knew they wouldn’t breed until they got to a room, all of her animals were trained on that much at least, and she could get them separated if they got close to it. At least Pachee were pretty harmless, they just exchanged pollen and nothing else, sure, people could use euphemisms about stuff like that, but she didn’t know what else to do at the moment. All she could do was wait a little while no matter what, but other things were going to happen at the same time. Maybe she just wondered what they were going to do, what the offspring were going to look like, and all would be well in the end of it all.

Slowly people were called back and she waited with Bramble and Morpho for a little while before they were finally called to the back as well. Good, she was getting a little bored, not that she wouldn’t watch her animals for awhile or anything, but this was something she needed to get done so she could get some more stuff done today, hopefully she would be able to no matter what, and not procrastinate like she had been for awhile lately. Whatever happened, she hoped that things would work out for her, but there wasn’t much she could do no matter what. The two Pachee were in front of her, following the attendant as they were led to a room, and the woman smiled a little, hoping that things would work out for them no matter what happened and all that. It didn’t matter too much, as soon as they walked in they would probably breed and be finished, just waiting for the offspring to come and all that. It was fine no matter what, she knew, and she hoped that things would be fine in the end. Morpho hadn’t had any kits yet, so this might be a little rougher than some of the other breedings she had done in the past and all that, there was no real way to be sure at the moment.

All she knew was that things would work out in the long run. Sighing a little, she settled down in a chair and watched as the two Pachee exchanged their pollen and everything else that needed to happen. This was easy enough, she could certainly get behind that no matter what. She gave a little smile, hoping that things would be alright in the end, and wondering what was going to happen no matter what. At least the kits would be cute, she was sure of that right now. As she sat there, she scratched the back of her head and then folded her arms across her chest, and all that would be alright in the long run. As she sat there, she hoped that things were going to be alright with everything that was going on in the Labs at the moment. Some things were changing and she wasn’t sure how she liked it. Chewing on her lip a little, she hoped that things were going to work out, and all would be well in the end of it all, after this she would work with Terrence and see if she could get him to grow or something, but that might be a little difficult as well...
