Nadia was charmed, by how genuine Linyü seemed. It was refreshing, to be around someone with that level of simple, everyday clumsiness - someone unpretentious, unpolished, existing in a mundane setting without any theatrics. It relaxed her. Well, as much as it was possible to relax her at that moment, with overwhelming sensory information stacked up around her.
"Ah, thank you," She accepted the pack of tealights with a grateful smile. "I think that should be everything, now... I can get out of your hair."
As nice as it was to be around him, she knew that she was probably making a nuisance of herself. The sooner she could pack up and leave, the better; he'd be able to return to his duties, and with a bit of luck, any other potential customers would avoid smashing into displays like bulls in china shops.
"Oh, I... I could do with a pack of matches, too, if that is something you have available."

Linyü nodded, and began punching numbers into the till. "Oh, it's no trouble. We do," he said. "They're here somewhere... Matches, matches." Briefly he ducked under the table, rummaging around in the compartments therein, until he came up again with what she was looking for. His hair was, somehow, a little more disheveled in the few moments it had taken him to find the matches.
He had done this often enough over the last few weeks that his movements were practiced and brisk as he wrapped up her purchase and placed it into a paper bag. "Have a blessed day," he said, smiling. As he spoke the words, one of his eyes flashed green for a moment, quick enough that it might have been a trick of the light. "I know these aren't much, but I hope they help." He didn't say anything more; it would have crossed some sort of line if he had, and then the boss would have his head. But he remembered how the woman had looked when he first saw her, and she didn't seem much recovered since then -- or maybe she had been, and was only here because it had gotten worse again.

I hope they help. Nadia had been bewildered by what she thought was the light, making Linyü's eye appear... different, somehow -- but the comment brought her back to reality. She was not having a good time. Breaking down at the checkout in Bed, Bath and Benison was not the way forward, so she did her best to suck up the wave of emotion threatening to roll over her, and offered a shaky nod.
"Thank you. Take care."
She did her best to follow her own advice. Taking exercise, focusing on external sources rather than her internal stressors. She couldn't stop her mind from going into overdrive, but she could try to distract it, and let it fizzle out without any theatrics. Nonetheless, Nadia was returning in a matter of weeks' time, with the sense to cover up her dishevelled look with foundation at the very least.
The tealights had been nice. Her new visit was fuelled by a desire for more (and perhaps even braving the vast selection), but also in a search for bath oils. Did they sell them, at that store? Where would she find them among the stock...?
Where was that familiar face to assist her?

The owner had been giving Linyü strange looks since he first walked in this morning -- strolling casual as you please, despite the fact that he was fifteen minutes late, and sporting even worse bedhead than usual. If that had been the extent of it, perhaps she might have subsided after a time, but it was as if he had somehow forgotten half the things he'd learned over the past few weeks overnight.
"What's gotten into you?" she said after the third time he had to ask her where the products were. "You were supposed to have this memorized!"
"Sorry," he said, giving her a lopsided smile. He pressed the heel of one hand to his forehead and grimaced. "Hangover."
She threw up her hands in frustration, and walked off into the back, muttering something about irresponsible youth. Linyü watched her go, then gave a shrug and wandered back to his place behind the till.
He was leaning against it, elbow braced on the counter and chin propped up on one hand, when the bell over the door chimed to announce a new arrival. He glanced up with a look that was more bored than earnest, but his features lit up as soon as he saw who it was. With a grin, he said, "Red! It's you!"

It wouldn't be so bad, browsing by herself. No matter how overwhelming the amount of stock looked, she could manage it, even if she was a bit frazzled. Nadia had just about steeled herself for the search when she heard someone calling.
Linyü! A smile crept up on her, even though his exclamation seemed... out of character. She could only assume he was referring to her, since he was looking right at her and she did fit the description of 'red', but she looked hesitant as she approached the register.
"Linyü, hello," She said. The only difference visible to her was a slightly more dishevelled look about him, but that was to be expected if he was bouncing around the store all day. Maybe it was all in her head. "How do you fare?"
The place wasn't thronged with customers, so Nadia felt less guilty about taking up a staff member's time. Still, she tried to be concise, for her own sake as well as his.
"I... I was wondering if you could help me find something, if you stock it."

Linyü's grin only widened when the redheaded woman returned his greeting, eyes creasing with it, revealing the deep dimples in his cheeks. It was a far cry from the nervous smile he usually wore, and he accompanied it with a little wave. "Oh, much better now that you're here," he said easily. "I was hoping you'd come in."
His smile only fell when she asked him for help, though he covered it up with a light laugh. "Oh, yeah, I guess that's me, isn't it?" He glanced around at the shop, a slight furrow between his brows as he took in its layout once more. "I'm sure between the two of us we'll figure something out. What kind of blessing are you in the mood for today?" He arched a brow, one side of his mouth tugged up into a conspiratorial smile, as if this was some private joke the two of them were sharing.

This was a different side to Linyü. Nadia looked around and back at him to make sure that it really was the same employee she'd been approached by the last two occasions; he looked identical, sounded no different. The shift in personality was noticeable enough to put everything else on edge.
"Oh! Uh... I'm glad I could stop by, then," She said, with a bashful smile - there was no hiding the hint of nervousness in it. It felt like dealing with an entirely separate being than the mild boy from before. "W-well, I was hoping for some bath oils. I, um...wasn't positive this store stocked them."
There didn't appear to be much they didn't stock in the scented department. As she glanced at the different displays and aisles, she could see bottles and sprays as well as candles, so that was a good sign. No doubt she'd have to parse through many other products before getting to what she came in for.
