Doing a quest from the quest board was usually an interesting way to spend the day. They just hoped they weren't assaulted and tricked into a fight like last time. They would really prefer to pick up something low key this time around. Silver was happy to find the relatively plain little letter from the something or another society. Bugs? Well they were a bug catching expert after spending so much time at the firefly festival. They would have to give it a go. First, they had to stop by home and decide what they would take along with them. It didn't seem like a dangerous task in any way, so they packed light. They wished they had remembered to buy a net of some kind, but they forgot again this year. Perhaps they had a creature they could bring along to help. Definitely not Sanguis, they thought. He'd squish all of the bugs and laugh about it, probably. It would have to be a small creature, Silver thought, since they'd have less of a chance of just eating or squashing all of the bugs before they could catch any. As they walked past, they nearly missed a Lerrel in the shadows who was only given away by the bright sun marking on her tail. Fate! She would be perfect. The mark on her tail reminded them of a firefly flickering in the grass. Maybe she could attract some that way. She seemed to agree, or at the very least was eager to climb up onto their shoulder to get the seeds they offered. 1[109.2, 12.8, 0.2]

It was a mission they were genuinely excited to get started on. More than anything, it felt really achievable, and they needed a little win. "We're going to be awesome at this, don't you worry," Silver said as they wandered off toward the address on the letter.
'Awesome,' Fate chirped back. Silver jumped slightly as they briefly forgot that she could do that. They laughed at their own awkwardness and were relieved that there wasn't anyone else around to see it. Quintessence craned his neck to look at them like he was reminding them that he saw that, too. Silver rolled their eyes, sure that they were reading too much into it.
"Are you ready to catch some fireflies, Fate?" Silver asked. They were secretly hoping that she would say something else, but she just made some regular Lerrel noises. Maybe she only did it when she knew that they weren't expecting it. They wouldn't put it past her. Lerrels were pretty clever.
"I think this is the place," Silver said squinting at the note. Who the heck were these people, anyway? Why had they never heard of them? Ignoring the fact that there were many things they had never heard of...
'Place!' Fate mimicked, making Silver jump again. Damn she was good.

"You're going to have to stop doing that," Silver said. They made a squeaky noise that was somewhere between trying to catch their breath and a laugh. "Anyway, we need to catch some of these uh..." Silver looked at the note again. It said 'glowmoths' but the picture was pretty blurry. Couldn't they have drawn a picture? Oh well. "I guess they can probably fly? Maybe it's too early in the day..."
They were pretty sure that none of their regular tracking skills were going to help with this one. Maybe it was fortunate that they had Fate with them after all. She was surely an expert at catching bugs. Actually, she even kind of looked like a bug. Silver ruffled up the hair between her ears and smiled. Even if she didn't end up catching anything, they were happy to have her along for the adventure anyhow.
While Silver was trapped in uncertainty, Quin knew exactly what he wanted. He floated gently down to the grass and looked around for anything interesting to play with. If anyone was going to stumble on some weird insects, it was him. Silver actually thought that was a fairly good idea and crouched down to get on his level.

"Good idea," Silver said to Quintessence. They squatted down to his level and looked around the grass.
'Idea!' Fate chirped. Silver looked over at her and could swear that the look on her face was smug. Did she know she was doing that? They tried not to read too much into it. Whether or not she was doing it on purpose didn't really matter, and if they got too worked up figuring it out... well that wouldn't be good for anyone.
Quin crawled through the grass with his wings and head low. His tail twitched slightly, showing up only as a blue flash above the grass line now and then. Silver smiled at his antics. It was actually really cute. They didn't have the heart to tell him that he was most definitely not going to catch a moth, but they also secretly hoped that he tried so that they could find one and grab it.
Fate twitched her wings and watched. She was familiar with what the weird ghostly lizard was doing. She would do the same herself if she saw a bug or something she wanted to eat. She preferred apples, though. They were a lot easier to catch. Her wings gave her the advantage of being able to catch any bug she wanted easily, so she quickly got bored of it. Or maybe she just didn't care for the taste.

Silver almost couldn't believe it when something moved in the grass right in front of Quin. Before they could process it, he pounced! He frantically grabbed at whatever it was only for it to scramble out of his claws causing him to tumble over.
"Woah," Silver said. They couldn't think of anything else to say as a beautiful looking creature flew out of the grass. They had no idea what a glowmoth looked like, but that could definitely be it. It had wings like a moth and flew around, though they couldn't tell in this light whether or not it glowed.
Before they got a chance to act, Fate floated off their shoulder after it. The humming of her wings drowned out Quintessence's pathetic squeak of disappointment. She wrapped her long fingers around it and smile smugly at Quin as if to say 'I won'. She grabbed the critter and held it in front of her own face to inspect it. Now that she had it, she had to decide what to do with it. The first and most obvious choice was to shove it in her mouth, but she didn't feel like doing that right away. Silver reached out toward her, but not so quickly that it would startle her.
"Do you want to give me the bug, Fate? Please give me the bug, okay? I need it for the uh, the insect s... the quest."
