It had been a little while since Aubrey had last had occasion to come to the quest board. Living on his own, with his own home and garden, was turning out to be surprisingly time consuming. He had never noticed how much work went into taking care of a property until he had his own, which... felt a little cruel to say, since he realized that in retrospect he had taken a lot of things for granted when he was younger, but... It was a lot of work. And he wasn't good at any of it either. But as much work as housekeeping was, he still had to find time to spend time with Yeo-reum. He knew that the Tat-lung had been pretty patient with him throughout all this, not causing a fuss and even pitching in to help where he could. Aubrey felt pretty guilty that he hadn't been able to be more attentive to Yeo-reum's needs lately. 1

He had gotten a little bit of free time--- well, no, he supposed that might have been a lie. If he wanted to find things to do, there were still plenty of things that needed doing back at the house. But it was starting to feel like that was always going to be the case, and he felt like there was some merit to the idea that he ought to just make the time for something if he really wanted to do it.
That was why he was out here with Yeo-reum now.
"It's been a while, hasn't it?" he said, walking up to the quest board. Yeo-reum was in high spirits, probably just happy to be outside. They had a yard, but that was where the garden was too, so Yeo-reum had to contend with Thistle for space, and even if that wasn't the case, it still wasn't the same as an open area.

Yeo-reum ran the rest of the way to the quest board, then sat up to look at it, peering very seriously at the postings as if he could read them. If Aubrey hadn't known better, he might have thought that Yeo-reum really did know how to read. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case--- at least, not yet. Aubrey did mean to teach him eventually, but even his own reading skills weren't the best yet, so it felt a little bit premature.
... But then, maybe they could learn together. That was a thought, Aubrey supposed.
Still, if he was going to teach Yeo-reum, this wasn't where he wanted to start. For now, Aubrey simply laughed at what seemed to be a jest on Yeo-reum's part. "Alright, alright, I'm coming," he said, and quickened his pace to close the distance between them. Once he got there, he began perusing the postings on the board himself.

Yeo-reum was watching him with expectant eyes, though he was also poring over the postings himself now with some more genuine interest. It was Yeo-reum who actually picked out a posting, intrigued, Aubrey supposed, by the interesting font. It wasn't hand-written... or at least he didn't think it was. This person had to have very neat and uniform handwriting if that was the case.
"Glow moths, huh..." said Aubrey. "It wants us to catch bugs. What do you think? Should we take this one?"
Yeo-reum seemed to perk up visibly at the idea, and mimed clapping his claws together on something. Aubrey laughed again, though this time he shook his head. "No, not exactly... We need them alive, is the thing. Someone wants some bugs to study, I think, and they want us to catch some for them. I don't think they'd be very happy with us if we brought them squished ones."

Yeo-reum deflated, but only for a moment. He bounced back not long after, this time miming a swipe through the air to pinch something between two claws. "That could work," Aubrey said, "but do you really think you'll be able to do it without hurting them?"
Yeo-reum thumped his chest with a claw, puffing himself up. Aubrey laughed again. "Well, if you're that confident, I'll be relying on you then! But we have to get to the park first. And I think we had better go in the evening, since I don't think glow bugs come out during the day..." He wasn't sure about this, of course, but in the light of day he figured a glow moth wouldn't look much different from a regular moth, at least to someone untrained in the ways of moth identification like himself. At night, he could use their glow to distinguish them, so he hoped.

No glow to be seen, that was a little disheartening wasn't it?
