She'd already stopped and dropped the Kairfuryoo off at her kennel - they were currently in the orbaru room until Sevyrn could work on creating them their own space to live happy, fulfilled life. The little guy riding in the belly pocket of her hoodie had been absolutely entranced by it, though - so many new faces! So much fun to be had! Sevyrn had barely stepped in to the orbaru room before the lizard had leaped out and scattered about on the floor, checking out all the new faces. It was a good thing that orbaru were generally incredibly friendly or else he could have gotten himself in trouble...
As Sevyrn pushed the gate in to her yard open, the mussimander showed the same level of excitement. The creak of rusty hinges must have woken him from his brief nap, because not two steps in his little striped black head was poking out of Sev's pocket.

"Yeah, yeah - this is home," Sevyrn said to the little thing as she reached towards her sweater pocket to give him a little head scratch. He vocalized in return, arching his pack to push his head in to her hand - yeah, he liked that a lot. Sev could do nothing but giggle at the cuteness as she closed her gate behind her. She hadn't named the little guy yet, but he was going to have a really good home here with her - the lotine were pretty chill and Al didn't seem to care about anything other than climbing trees and causing mischief, so there weren't too many ways for him to get himself hurt... unless he decided to fall in the pond. That was something that likely would not end well.
Sevyrn took a seat at her picnic table and gently moved her hand around the mussi's body to scoop him out of her pocket.

He wriggled and squirmed in the woman's hold, desperate to be freed - only once Sevyrn had reached the picnic table did she dare to let go of him lest he fall to the ground and wind up hurt.
"Hey little guy," She said to him her soft, sweet this is a baby and I love him tone, lowering her hand so that he would be able to sniff at it as he checked things out. They'd had a chance to meet while still at the flea shop, but this was their first real moments of bonding. Poor little thing was in an unfamiliar area with some unknown creatures wandering about - he was probably spooked. Sevyrn wished to make this as easy on him as possible - her nyssafaux seemed to have other ideas in mind, however, and hopped up on to the bench of the picnic table to see what was going on.

The young one spooked - did a little lizard scurry towards Sevyrn and hid in the crook of her arm. Al might not have been a large creature overall, but to the little mussimander she was one of the biggest creatures that he had ever seen so far... he couldn't imagine how big those lotine hanging out by the pond would be up close.
"You're alright," Sevyrn cooed to the little guy, bending her elbow just a little bit farther so that he could feel secure. She kept a careful eye on Aura-Lune but did let her investigate as long as she kept a reasonable distance from the little thing. They would have to get used to each other at some point, after all... Al pushed her limits, though, by trying to climb over Sev's arm.
"No - we don't scare the baby," Sevyrn said to her and pushed her gently but firmly away.

No - she wanted to see the new thing! Al had never seen anything that small before... what was it? Why was it here? It looked more like a play toy than someone to play with, so what fun would it be? Was it going to take over her favourite pot to curl up in? She knew the lotine weren't going to do that - they were too big. She didn't like to be shooed away but Sevyrn wasn't relenting. Aura-Lune would have the opportunity to be face to face with the newcomer after he had time to settle in, not a moment before.
"Go." Sevyrn pointed away from her, insistant that it was time for Al to head off. The mussimander seemed to be shaking from the crook of her elbow, and the nyssafaux finally walking away wasn't enough to quell that... the little guy needed some time to feel like he was okay.

"You're all good," Sevyrn assured the striped mussimander, holding a finger out for him to sniff at. Once he had Sevyrn moved closer to him so that she could give him a little rub on the chin, and the affection from the Biggest One Here seemed to be enough to urge the young mussimander to leave the safety of Sevyrn's arm inch by inch. She had been the one to keep him safe on the way here, after all - she was the one looking after him. She'd held him close in her pocket while walking through a world of strangeness that he had never been before. She was going to be good to him right? The little one felt like he could trust this girl, but the nervousness of being surrounded by so much unknown was still overwhelming. There was no one that he would rather be learning the world with, though.

The mussimander found himself feeling brave after a little while of just sitting there with Sevyrn - the only bad thing that had happened so far was Aura-Lune trying to get in his face, but nothing had gone wrong! He was okay and this girl was looking out for him, so he felt safe wandering away from Sevyrn's arm and in to open air farther away on the picnic table. Sevyrn kept a close eye on the little boy, whose back arched and little legs skittered backwards as he watched a lone potatohead scramble past the picnic table. What was that! It wasn't bigger than him, but he had never seen anything like it before. It wasn't going to hurt him... it was on the ground - he was safe to poke his head over the side of the picnic table and watch the strange thing scuttle about. Sevyrn let out a light laugh as she watched his curious antics.

Now what were those!? The mussimander cocked his head as he watched the potato head run towards the pond and two strange floaty things came in to his line of sight. There were two of them, just hovering by the pond - one deep blue and and one with a white body and a multi-hued tail the colors of an opal.
"Those are the lola," Sevyrn said softly to him as he cocked his head and took a stance that left her with a fear that he was about to jump. No - that couldn't happen. Sevyrn gently scooped his little body up in to her hand and held him close to her chest, only for the mussimander to use that as an opportunity to scale her sweater and climb on to his shoulder. From that vantage point he could see even more things! The strange building, the vegetable garden - there was so much going on here.

The mussimander made his way in to the hood of Sevyrn's sweater where it seemed to get pretty comfortable - Sev found herself unable to disturb him after he curled up. Carefully she reached behind her and manipulated her way through her backpack - still on her back - to pull out her sketchbook. Like some of her orbaru, his bright colors wouldn't be done justice by a simple pencil sketch, but Sevyrn could work on a lineart and then give it color after going inside... so for the first time in her life, she tried to draw a mussimander - this little guy, perched on the end of her picnic table to check out the lola.
He had awoken from his short nap just before she finished, and watched her draw while perched on her shoulder once again. After closing her sketchbook, Sevyrn turned her head so that she could see him out of the corner of her eye. "Well, whatcha think buddy? You like it here?"

A flash of colour darts past in your peripheral. What is that...? A pachee stands on its hind legs nearby, observing the garden.

A sudden movement out of the corner of Sevyrn's eye, and she carefully tucked the little mussimander in to the front pocket of her sweater so that she could safely get up and see what was going in. It... hadn't looked like Al, too dark compared to her white and vibrant pink, and there was no way one of the lotine was moving that fast.
The mussimander poked his head out the side of the pocket just in time for Sevyrn to lay eyes on what had shown up - a rather stunning pachee was standing in the middle of the yard, perched on his hind legs to observe what was going in here. He was absolutely beautiful, and the deep green and brown that made up the bulk of his body reminded Sevyrn of Lailah's rather remarkable design. He must have snuck in behind her as Sevyrn was bringing the new guy in.
She moved slowly as not to spook him, and then crouched down a few feet away. "Hey little guy, how had you get in here?"

The pachee is alarmed. Who is this stranger? He does his best to hide behind some clumps of grass, but... it's not successful, with his fantastic colouring. From between the tufts, he stares out at you.

Poor thing was spooked - Sevyrn was trying her best to minimize that, though. It was hard being in a strange place and having some really big stranger hanging about.
"Hey sweet thing," Sevyrn said softly, looking around to see if there was anything around that she could offer him. The last of summer's berries were ripe on a raspberry bush so she moved slowly to pull a few off and hold them out. "I won't hurt you, I promise."
The mussimander had enough of being in het pocket at that point - he leaped out and landed feet first on the ground. He cocked his head towards the stranger, unaware that the pachee was unfamiliar to everyone here. How was he supposed to know which creatures here and which didn't?
As Sevyrn rolled the berries towards the little pachee in hopes that he would take them as a peace offering, the baby took a few curious steps forward.

The pachee keeps his eye on the other creature, even as he reaches forward to pick up a berry. It is thoroughly examined at his paws before he dares to do anything with it. He sets it aside, but sidles closer, curious. What does this offering mean?

Okay... so that hadn't gotten his attention completely, but the pachee seemed to have let his guard down just a bit. That was good progress! Sevyrn had never come across a creature while out and about that hadn't been unnerved by the sudden arrival of a much bigger stranger. She just had to be gentle and careful - that was it.
"You're alright," Sevyrn assured, letting it move to her rather than the other way around. He would let her know where his comfort level was, and if it was at the point where a few tentative steps on his side was okay, then Sevyrn hoped that all would be well if she returned the same couple steps.
Just farther than arm length apart, Sevyen reached out towards him slowly, keeping her arm low to the ground. The mussimander hovered close to his girl, just as concerned about the newcomer as the newcomer seemed to be as well.
