The pachee is fascinated by you, it appears. It found the offering agreeable, and wants to learn some more... and so it rests its front paws in your palm, and cocks its head.
[Congratulations, you have successfully tamed the creature!]

The pachee's hands in hers brought a sweet smile to Sevyrn's lips, and in return she opened her other palm to reveal the berries with. The pachee's head cocked and he looked towards the woman - was that another offering? While he would still be careful, he accepted the offering to mean that this girl meant well. He would give this place a chance, though. The person was nice enough and that strange little creature next to her was curious to him as well.
The mussimander leaned in towards the pachee, wondering why he reached towards Sevyrn so tentatively. Was he new here as well? Perhaps they could be friends? The pachee seemed calmer than the nyssafaux had been - no one was trying to get in his face, at least. The pachee was obviously more friendly on that basis alone! The mussimander looked towards his girl and then scampered closer to the newcomer.

What an interesting creature! The mussimander checked the pachee out, small compared to the newcomer but confident given how gentle it seemed to be. The pachee cocked his head and released Sevyrn's hand to lower his upper body down to the ground and get closer to the stranger... it seemed like there were a lot of strangers here. The white one by the picnic table, the two big creatures by the pond, four strange little things floating around near those big things...
Both the mussimander and the new pachee had a lot of new (hopefully) friends to meet today - it was fitting that they were each other's first proper introduction. The biggest problem? Sevyrn now had to think of potential names for not one but two new buddies. The woman was still utterly clueless about what to do there.
"It's a busy day here," she remarked out loud. Busy - but good.

The mussimander scampered away, taking his first steps on the soft dirt and grass of Sevyrn's garden. He was thrilled to finally be able the check everything out, he had wanted to earlier on when he was on the picnic table and he could see almost everything but the girl hadn't wanted to let him. Why not? Everything seemed okay here. Sevyrn didn't let him wander too far without stepping towards him, but she did let him roam - the little thing could move faster than his tiny size betrayed.
He was so happy to finally look around, though! There were so many plants - flowers and crops and bushes, though all seemed to be starting to feel the pull of a nearing winter. What was that? Poking out from beside a large rock was a little purple mushroom, which caught his attention - he most definitely wanted to go check that out.

Oh - now what was that over there? The mussimander found a couple more things nearby, strange little roots poking out of the ground. It took all of his strength but he was able to pull one of them out of the ground! His head cocked at it, and Sevyrn knelt down to check out what the little thing had found. While everything was new to the young, the strange root was also something that she herself had never seen, and she had tended to gardens since she was a child. As soon as the mussimander had lost interest in that specific root and moved on to the second one, Sevyrn snatched the oddity up to look closer at it.
Meanwhile the mussimander was pulling up a second root, and once he had freed it he started to chew on it. Sevyrn found them rather odd and didn't want it to become a mussi snack so she snatched that one up as well, to the little one's dismay.

Sevyrn had heard about something called the 'pachee pollen project' - bring in six of the same plant, colors don't matter, and they would harvest the pollen from the plants and be able to create a pachee... At best she had two of the same item at this point, a couple golden fruit and now two of these. There was no way that she was going to be handing them off any time soon - if she was lucky then she would be able to find a bunch of... well, anything to be able to bring down. Sevyrn wasn't huge on pachee, she had only gotten her first one rather recently, but they were definitely a species that she was quickly growing to love, especially after finding Button wandering about. What was he doing, anyways? What was the mussimander doing?
Sevyrn looked around, just in time to catch a flurry of bright stripes running over to the bright pachee.

It seemed that the little guy really wanted to be buddies with the new pachee - that was okay. They were both newcomers as of today, and both of them were going to need a buddy. They could learn this place together, and the pachee was much calmer than Al while not being as big as the lotine. He would be a good watcher for the little baby, Sevyrn hoped - she really just wanted to know whether or not it would be safe to leave the mussimander outside over night, or if she was going to want to bring him inside at least for the first little while. Al would just want to play with him but she was bigger and could potentially cause the little thing some grief, and everyone could live without that in their life.
Sevyrn let them play, figuring it was safe to leave the mussi unattended for a moment.

Sevyrn had a small crate inside of her shed where she kept some of the various things that she found, so she made her way over there. Once inside she started digging around in the box to make a tally of everything, just so that she properly remembered what she had. It was a small collection of interesting finds, but it was hers and it was growing so that was in every way okay. Theat little mushroom that the mussimander found as well as the two strange things that she had never seen before - she was going to have to check out her botany book once she went inside - got to join the collection, and then Sevyrn was back out the door and in to the open yard. The newcomers weren't far from where she had left them, seeming to be playing with each other off on their own. Al was sleeping in an empty flower pot. Life was good.

Sevyrn hadn't expected the mussimander to zip away from the pachee in the way that he did shortly after Sevyrn had left the shed behind, but she didn't miss that something was in his mouth... fuck. There was so much stuff going on in this garden, and Sevyrn realized in this moment that she had absolutely no idea if anything here was considered poisonous to mussimanders. That was something that she was going to need to figure out, but before that she was going to have to get whatever that was out of the little guy's mouth. She didn't have to dash, her long strides brought her over to the little guy quite quickly, and as she crouched down to take whatever it was she realized that he seemed to have found another of those strange little foot shaped roots.
Huh - those things must be in season. This was the third they'd found in the last little while.

As soon as Sevyrn had taken the root away from the mussimander he had run back to where he came off, and then zipped in the opposite direction of Sevyrn with another of them. Really... four now? There had to be a little patch of whatever plant that came from growing somewhere. Whatever it was the little guy seemed to like them, so Sevyrn just kept a careful eye on him this time... until the mussimander climbed in to the stump of a tree trunk that was starting to rot and came out with not a root in sight. Was he... building a stash in there?
Sevyrn wandered over and crouched in front of the stump, where a tall tree once had been when this area hadn't been part of her property. There was a decent sized hole rotted out, large enough for the mussimander to fit easily obviously. Sev did... not want to reach in there.

Instead she placed one hand on top of the stump and bent her head and neck so that she could look inside. There was... nothing - nothing except that single lone root. Was this place what the mussimander was going to turn in to his own little shelter? It seemed big enough to fit an adult, the entrance to the hole betrayed its true depths... Maybe she should leave the root there, let him have something homey.
At the same time she would be up to four of those little roots found, ripe and ready for her to get her hands on two more. She would only need two more to be able to bring them down to the headquarters for the pachee pollen project, and get her hands on a new fancy pachee that she had never seen before. The mussimander was going to have to wait until after they had a decent stock to start building a personal collection.

There were so many things to do here now... The pond needed to be expanded, as it no longer had room to fit the seryn that Sevyrn was waiting on due to unexpectedly finding her sea pony, there was a new vegetable garden to get started in the expansion to her yard. She needed to think of something to do with the area that had once been where her vegetable garden had stood... its summer plants had been harvested and she was left with autumn blooms, though those would likely be ready to harvest soon. Winter was coming, and then she would be facing snow...
She needed to get as much done as possible before the snow came - there were new creatures in need of safe shelter, and more creatures back in her kennel who would be relying on her to feed them throughout the harsh winter months. The mussimander's little home wasn't going to be of much use when the snow piled higher than the entire stump...

Maybe the old garden area would turn in to an area to shelter her creatures once the snow settled in - she still had plenty of time to build it, and the credits to spare to afford the supplies that she would need. An easier feat to finish would likely be getting a composter going - a wooden container attached to the far side of her shed, where she could throw dead plants, food scraps, and the ever-increasing amount of fecal material that needed cleaning up to serve as fertilizer for her own plants.
The idea of becoming self-sufficient appealed to her. She greatly enjoyed tending her own garden, and she had become a fisher so she could supply meat to her carnivores now as well without having to butcher large animals. If she was lucky then by the winter she would be relying on the spoils of her own efforts. For all of these guys, all of her creatures in general, she truly hoped so - they deserved that kind of care.
