Then - only then - did she pull her hand away from her neck. Even covered in blood the gashes down her arm stood out as pulsing points and that was when she realized where the real damage was. Sevyrn brought her clean hand up towards her neck- there was definitely several scratches, but those were already starting to clot and close. Her arm was going to need stitches, though - and it was her dominant arm, with no one around to help her.
Fuck, this was going to be a hack job. She vaguely knew how to sew, so it couldn't go too wrong right? There was a small suture kit in her first aid kit… but first she needed to quell the bleeding. The few pieces of gauze in there wasn't going to be enough, but she had to try. Sevyrn held the cloth to her arm as hard as she could, eyes scanning through all of her other supplies. Thanks to the moonlight she could at least see what she was doing.

She had to stop holding pressure against her arm to check on it - Sevyrn held her wound towards the window, hoping that the moonlight would help her see. The bleeding was slowing, that was a good sign, but now she could truly see the depth of the damage. It seemed that Fier was going to need a good claw trimming once they got back home… He'd managed to sink deep in to her skin in his panic.
Sevyrn wanted to blame the ghaenelt, but she couldn't - he was young and he had been scared. But as she pushed the needle of her suture through her skin for the first time, she finally felt the true pain of the damage. She winced as it pierced through the edge of the wound, and she had to work carefully to line up the edges as best as she could. These… were not ideal circumstances.

One claw mark down, three to go… At least the outer wounds were smaller, shallower… might need even need to be tied up like the inner two were. Sevyrn snipped the suture line free from. Her body after tying the best not she could to secure the first wound, and then started on the other deep cut. The blood seeping down her arm towards and past her elbow was drying, but there was still a fresh ooze trailing downwards - lighter than it had been before, at least.
She winced each time the needle pierced her flesh, and the adrenaline seemed to be wearing out of her system because now… now all she felt was pain. A small sting in her neck where she had been scratched, and much sharper all the way down her right arm. It started to shake as she worked, leaving Sevyrn cursing.
"Damn it, Fier," she said to the ghaenelt, shaking her head as she looked to him. He might not have meant it, but he had managed to really hurt her.

As she finished she collapsed back on to the bed, reeling in pain as the adrenaline flushed out of her system. Fuck, this was going to kill for quite some time... Still laying down, she looked towards the ghaenelt again and shook her head. Fier looked rather upset - was it with himself or the situation as a whole?
She sighed nd sat back up, reaching towards the little one with her good arm. He was frightened, he'd seen how badly she had been hurt... he needed to feel safe and loved. Sevyrn gave the little thing a pat atop one of his head, and that seemed to be all that he needed in order to feel invited to come over to his girl once again.
"I know that you didn't mean it," Sevyrn muttered as she gave him a little scratch at the base of his necks. His little whimper told her that this was the right thing to do.

She hadn't come to the mansion in a couple months now - life had gotten busy and as such other things had taken priority, but now Sevyrn found herself having a rather peaceful day and why not make use of such a time to fancy a trip down to the mansion? Filled with the determination to head out, Sevyrn had waltzed down to her kennel and leashed up two of her houloy pups - the first children of her original two houlou, and off the trio went. Moony, the crescent-marked daughter of Sevyrns patronne Spot, was quite the little thing - her head very much lost in the stars as she yanked at her leash curious to investigate everything she came across during this venture in to strange lands. As on the other hand was much more docile, sticking towards Sevyrn's side in a fashion that was even more placid than his mother Sweetie's. Having been born around the same time, the pair had grown up together and despite being polar opposites they seemed to make the best of friends - it was rather curious. Hopefully Ash's gentle demeanor would serve to quell Moony's incessant curiosity while they were out and about - Sevyrn wanted to trouble to come to them. 1

The season of love must bring something light and airy to the mansion, yes? Sevyrn had assumed so when she first began to walk, venturing down beaten paths towards the strange building that seemed to lure her in to its magic time and time again. Ash grew weary the closer that they traveled, though, cowering closer to his girl's side with his ears low and tail tucked just slightly enough between his back legs for Sevyrn to notice it. Was his weariness simply the result of being in unfamiliar lands? Moony showed no such fear, persevering onwards without an ounce of hesitation in her little puppy body.
She had to still as they reached the limits of the property though, as Ash's hesitancy had turned in to soft whines and Sevyrn was not about to let the young thing live in fear like that. She crouched down and he came straight to her, paws on her knees like he wanted to climb in to her lap.
"What is it, little guy?" She asked, pulling her hand from her pocket to pat Ash atop his head. "You don't have to worry - I'm not going to let anything hurt you. You're just somewhere new."

A moment seemed to be all that Ash needed in order to quell his worries and be ready to move on, but the houlou pup milked that moment for all the love that it was worth - so much so that Moony found herself jealous of all the love that her partner in crime was getting that she just had to make herself a part of it.
That "moment" turned in to two, three, five as Sevyrn found herself bowled straight off the delicate balance of her ankles and she fell rear end first on to the dirt beneath her feet. A gasp escaped her on contact, which was quickly replaced with a series of giggles as the pups saw opportunity and climbed right up on to her, stepping all over her thighs and tummy and chest - Moony even managed to land a good paw straight in to Sev's diaphragm, and at that point fun time was over.
Winded, Sevyrn pushed both pups off of her chest and took the loops of their leashes firmly in hand. She needed a minute to catch her breath, but it was time to get moving... Ash's anxiety seemed to have been handled from all that, at least.

Stepping on to the property, Sevyrn was pleasantly surprised by what awaited her this time around - a lovely Victorian theme, the sweet soft purples of lavender lining a pathway straight to the door. How lovely! Soft, muted purples and greens made up Sevyrn's favourite colors, and Victorian architecture was something that impressed her - it oozed an air of fancy thsy Sevyrn didn't really want to have in her life, but at the same time she really did. It was quite the strange conundrum, but it also wasn't one that the young woman put much thought in to.
Regardless, Sevyrn was excited to venture forth - and it seemed that both Ash and Moony were as well. Moony pulled at her leash, curious to investigate. Ash's curiosity was much calmer, but the young patronne showed interest in his surroundings as well. At least... his tail wasn't tucked between his legs anymore. That meant something, right?
With the gorgeous sights outside, Sevyrn was not in a rush to get inside. She walked idly down the path and took in the sights, smiling as she watched the pups run about and get to know this place. Hopefully the pair would have as much fun inside as they did outside!

Moony pulled so hard that the leash ripped right out of Sevyrn's hand - and right off the pup went. She didn't venture too far, she was very well behaved like that, but she did start running laps and getting out some of that puppy energy. It seemed that watching her bounce around got Ash going, and Sevyrn chuckled as the male looked up to her as if to go ask to play with his friend. Yeah, okay - it was probably best to get the rips out now rather than while they were inside of the mansion. She didn't unleash him, she needed to be able to grab both of them with ease if something were to happen, but Ash was running off to chase after Moony as soon as he had the opportunity to. Sevyrn smiled as she watched it, digging through her bag blindly to look for something to snack on as she let the houlou do their thing for a bit.
It was relatively nice out, considering it was winter - maybe she should stop and make a snowman. The snow on the ground did seem to be the packy type... she could have good luck either that venture.

With the idea in her mind, Sevyrn wished that there was a thick enough layer of snow to follow through with that idea - she could try but it would be an awfully small snowman, so it seemed that she was going to have to find something else to do while the pups wore off some of that energy. Hopefully they wouldn't tire themselves out too much... she really wanted to have a good go in the mansion - she'd spent way too much time away and needed to scratch that itch. It was a shame that she had missed out on probably a few different settings, the place seemed to warp on a monthly basis and it had been several months... but there was nothing that she could do to change that. Nope - she was just going to have to make up for lost time now.
The two pups looked so happy to be playing around somewhere new now that they were comfortable with their surroundings. Hopefully they would feel the same way once they had made their way inside - perhaps it would be a good idea to make sure they knew a few basics first? Yeah - that was a smart call.

Sevyrn never left the house without being loaded up on snacks - for her, or for her buddies if she was going to be accompanied by a pet or two. As far as she was concerned it made her life easier, especially considering that she knew she liked to train while out and about. Even if she wasn't... every good girl and boy deserved a treat here and there.
The young woman called her pups back over to her, urging them with her own excitement to want to come back around her. Though both pups barked at her, tails just wagging a mile a minute, Moony was much more "in your face" about it - if her girl wanted love, then she was going to get all of the love. So, naturally, Sevyrn then had to work to calm the pair down enough that she would actually be able to work with them.
Once they had started to relax, Sevyrn began to talk sweetly to them. "Are you ready for a good day, Ash?" She asked as she looked towards the tan and grey little boy, and then she turned her head towards the black pup beside him. "And what about you, Moony?"

Sevyrn had never worked on training two of her pets at once, or at least she didn't think that she had... Regardless, she didn't think it would be much a problem - if anything it would mean she would be able to watch and make sure each pup actually knew their own name and wouldn't be running to the call of another. Or something... there was some kind of justification that Sevyrn would be able to find for it, even if that reason ended up being as simple as "I just felt like it".
For the next little while the young woman continued to address the pups individually back and forth, making sure each of the pair heard their names directed at them plenty - repetition was the key to successful training. That and - usually, at least - a few treats. The two seemed to think that she was playing around with them every time that she offered them a good pat on the head or good scratch behind the ear. With time they would come to understand that they were being addressed when they heard the words 'Ash' and 'Moony' respectively and really, that was the kind of thing that Sev could incorporate in to play.

Puppy loving was the best kind, and Sevyrn was pleased with her decision to take two of the houlou along with her to the mansion this time around. Everything about the species was fun, or at least pushed her to want to improve and that kind of drive gave her some kind of motivation to keep pushing to be better and better. There was no real reason for her to keep going on outside of doing as good as she could by the creatures that she cared for.
With time the pups seemed to start to figure out what was going on, and Sevyrn was very impressed with how easily their young brains absorbed the world around them. That was the nice thing about training young - it wasn't impossible to teach an old dog new tricks, not at all, but it definitely was much easier when they were young. Sevyrn figured it was about time for a little break, which would give her the perfect opportunity to see how the pups did responding from a distance or when at play - or any of the many other scenarios in which Sevyrn would have to call on them when they weren't already focused on her.

When Sevyrn stopped paying them any mind, the pups ran off - and Sev used this as an opportunity to catch up on her own needs and down a quick drink. One of the benefits of having a good thermos was that the hot chocolate she had packed in to her bag before leaving was still nice and warm, a welcome feeling amidst the cold winter air. As the pair of houlou frolicked about in the grass and trees and light layer of snow that lined the pathway to the mansion, Sevyrn couldn't help but smile. There were very few moments in which she felt at home any more and none of them were ever when she was at home - but she truly was where she belonged any time she was with her animals.
"Ash!" Sevyrn called, hoping to catch the male pup's attention on the first try. The tan and grey pup's head cocked towards his girl and Sevyrn was impressed. Sevyrn was, however, slightly less sure about how Moony was going to do - she was always so rambunctious and distractable and if anyone was going to give her a hard time, Moony would out of sheer distractability and stubbornness.
Despite that, once called the female's attention belonged to Sevyrn as well.
