She pushed the door open and was met with the calming, gentle crackle of a fire and the intoxicating smell of burning wood - straight ahead was an elaborate fire place, lit and waiting for her. There were two tables both lined with an assortment of food and drink - a buffet meant for many to celebrate with, and yet there was not a soul in sight... It looked utterly delicious, though. Sevyrn couldn't stop herself from at least tasting the cider, and there was no mistaking the subtle tinge of alcohol in it. Oh dear... perhaps this wasn't a good idea. Even without anyone around she still found herself wanting to celebrate, though - and one little glass of cider wasn't going to change that. She might not have been a big adult but she was an adult and one little weak drink wasn't going to leave her unable to care for herself or Rachet.

What was that!? Rat caught sight of the strange little creature before Sevyrn did, and dashed off towards it - her paws patted at its straw-like mouth and as soon as Sevyrn realized what was happening, she bolted towards where the kitten was. No, no - that couldn't go on. She scooped the mosca up in one arm and took a look at the strange little creature. It... seriously looked like it was made out of straw - what a strange thing to find. Of course, the mansion always did have a way of surprising her with new and interesting concoctions that Sevyrn would have never expected to lay her eyes on had she been anywhere else. They way she fawned over it and made sure it was okay seemed to make the strange being think that Sevyrn was half decent - it understandably didn't seem to like the mosca in her arms, though.

Judging by the fact that Sevyrn couldn't see a single piece of straw out of place on the strange creature, Sevyrn guessed that Rachet had gone at it clawless, more like she was trying to play with it than hurt it. It did look a little like a toy, didn't it? She couldn't blame the mosca for thinking it was meant to be played with, but she was going to have to learn that living things weren't toys. Rat struggled in her arms to be freed but Sevyrn didn't let her go, instead just stood back to her full height and rubbed Rachet's head and upper back until the mosca had calmed down. Once the little thing seemed to be a bit calmer Sev put her back on the ground, though she kept a very watchful eye on Rat and the way she showed interest in the little straw thing.

Back to that feast... Sevyrn's soft gaze scoured the tables before her, stomach rumbling hard within her abdomen even though she knew that she had eaten well before she came here. No... no, she didn't need more to eat - she needed to get looking around. Sevyrn ached to see the marvels that the mansion wanted to offer her this month, and with autumn being her favourite season she desperately wanted to bring home as many different trinkets as possible. Who knew - maybe they would end up finding a crystal in here at some point. She'd heard that they could be found within these strange walls, and though Sevyrn knew little of the magical properties they offered she also got gotten word that some rather special crystals could be traded in for something even more intriguing being that had recently been imported to zoological. She... was highly intrigued by that idea.

Left or right?
If Sevyrn had a coin with her she would have flipped it to make a decision, as she was faced with two seemingly identical doors facing opposite from each other. Each on one side of the room, each likely having their own mysteries to be revealed - though what was the likelyhood that both paths would simply take her to the same place? It could have been a trick of the benign variety.
Sevyrn let Rachet choose, though the young mosca wouldn't know that she was making any kind of call - Sev simply let her wander where she pleased, and when she seemed to have chosen a spot that she liked, that was the direction that Sevyrn would go. Walking towards the right-side door, Sevyrn called to the kitten as she opened it. Rat didn't even wait for the door to be fully open before zipping through it, at which point Sev had no choice but to follow behin her.

It was remarkable - she'd seen it before, in her first trip, how it was possible to walk out of an inside door and find herself feeling cool breezes and heat waves, yet it was still strangely curious to the young woman. It had happened again - the inside door had opened to the world around it, this time revealing a vast field of pumpkins. You know what seemed really nice, right now? Taking home some pumpkin seeds to bake in her oven and snack on for a while, or give to friends and creatures to snack on. Unfortunately she didn't even have a knife on her - or a bag to put the seeds in. Would the banquet hall have anything to offer her in terms of supplies? As Rat investigated pumpkins for the first time in her life, Sevyrn left the door wide open as she returned to the hall and began to search for what she needed.

  Is that a flute...?

Sevyrn found something when she ventured back in to the banquet hall - a strange flute-like thing that was laid across one of the tables, in front of one of the many seats. The woman picked it up curiously - carefully - and admired it from all angels. It was... rather beautiful - it seemed to be worn down by moss or grass or something of the sort, but it could be cleaned off. It would make an excellent addition to her collection back at home, and perhaps even inspire her to learn how to play. She'd never delved in to the art of music nefore, instead prefering to put pencil to paper.
It was around that time that Sevyrn also noticed something else - some strange marble-like things in multiple hues resting in a bowl just a few seats down the table. Upon picking them up she realized that they were glass. After twirling them in her fingers it seemed that they resembled snake-eyes.

She buried all four in to a small pocket of her backpack, then went back to the task that she had been working on. As she was picking a sharp knife up off of the table, Rat poked her head back in the open door, curious as to where her girl had wandered off to. It was as Sevyrn was trying to find something to keep pumpkin seeds in for transport that suddenly Sevyrn felt a weight around one of her ankles, and the sudden kick of tiny paws. Looking down, Rachet was playfully attacking her leg in hopes of getting her attention. Sev put the knife back down on the table before crouching down and grabbing her by the scruff of the neck to get the mosca off of her leg. Once Rachet was back on her feet, Sevyrn gave her a really good head scratch. "What?" She asked, only to get a stream of meows in response. "Did you miss me?"

The mosca saw an opportunity and didn't hesitate to take it - Rachet lept up on Sevyrn's shoulder and shakily supported herself atop of it, nuzzling her face against the woman's as she did so. Her balance wasn't quite perfect but she was doing a pretty good job, and Sevyrn couldn't help but laugh. "Yes I love you too," she said to the kitten as she reached up with the opposite arm to scratch beneath the mosca's chin. Rachet purred as Sevyrn tried to stand back up, careful to not move too quickly and knock the kitten off balance - she was one hundred percent going to end up with claws in her shoulder and back if she made Rat slip from her. Sevyrn was okay with the kitten going on their adventure like this, she just wanted Rachet to be safe and keep her balance. After picking up the knife, she returned to her search for a bag or container of some sort.

Aha! It wasn't a little bag that she would be able to push the air out of and seal up (perhaps Sevyrn needed to make a stop at the supply and demand to pick up more of such basic supplies), but she did find a little latch-closed tin on the table. Opening it up she found a variety of nuts within, so she decided that it was time to stop and munch on them for a bit. Rachet wasn't going to want any, mosca were carnivorous, but it was a good snack for a person. After she'd finished the handful of nuts up the container was empty. Armed with that and the knife she found - and Rachet still on her shoulder, balance getting better - Sevyrn was ready to go and tear apart one of those pumpkins to tear out its guts and bring its many seeds back home with her.

This time she closed the door behind hit, leaving the banquet hall at least for now. She switched the knife to her other hand and grabbed Rachet under the belly with her free hand to pull the kitten off of her shoulder. "Go play, but don't go too far," she urged, and then pulled one of her cat toys out of her backpack to keep the mosca entertained for a little while. At that point she plopped herself down on the ground, pulled one of the smaller pumpkins away from the intricate tangle of vines, and started to get to work. It was interesting trying to saw through the thick stem of the plant with just a regular steak knife, but she would be able to make it happen. After that Sevyrn needed to tear the top off of the pumpkin in a similar fashion - after that those sweet inner guts were all hers.

Was that... two more of those glass marbles? Sevyrn put her knife down to investigate the strange orange orbs that were revealed when she pulled the pumpkin away from its original spit. They were embedded in the ground, buried by the weight of the pumpkin that had grown above it. Curious about these little trinkets, Sevyrn let her fingers get dirty and pulled them out of the ground, rubbing the dirt off of them on the hem of her shirt. It wasn't like she had worn anything here that she cared about, anyways.
There seemed to be something hidden beneath the glass jewels, though - Sevyrn caught a glimpse of shiny silver and blue. Her eyebrows furrowed, curious about what awaited her, and then pulled a whole necklace out from beneath the pumpkin's spot as well. It would need a good clean after Sev got back home, but it looked like it would be beautiful.
