Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Nadia didn't know what she was doing at the Pit. Realistically speaking, this process stood to the opposite of her morals - she did not enjoy violence, especially not for sport, and had done her best to avoid it since she had come to the city. However, she'd taken custody of this creature... this pasha-sarane, Gauge... and the responsibility of guiding her through the tournament. So be it. One way or another, they would manage. The lights of the ring were intimidating, and Gauge wanted little to do with her. It was understandable, considering she hadn't been the one to train the creature, but it did worry her somewhat. She worried at her nails as she moved to take her place. How long would they have to wait? What was the procedure from there on out? She'd find out sooner or later, but it didn't stop her from fretting and glancing around. [Ready!]

There was no way to know what would happen next. I loathed not knowing. It was my first time there, in the aptly named Fighting Pit. It smelled like desperation and the blood of unfortunate creatures. My first instinct was to recoil in horror, but I knew I needed to proceed. The people that ran the place informed me that it was my turn. I had to go out, greet my opponent, and... beat them. Literally. Well, my new creature would be the one doing the beating.
His name was Igor, and he was an odd looking creature for sure. His body was covered in spikes, and he was the most unfortunate shade of warm brown. I chose him because his claws and spikes looked lethal enough for a start. A few days with a hired trainer later, and he was ready for battle. "Alright Igor," I said. He wasn't paying attention to me. I rolled my eyes and unbuckled his collar. "It is time for you to go. On my signal..." Hopefully he'd remember his training when it was needed.
[Waiting.]

Notes
- Gauge can use all moves he knows
- Igor can use all moves he knows
- Igor goes first due to higher Dexterity

Like it or not, it was show time. Our opponent had arrived. It was a strange grey creature I had never seen before, and it was accompanied by a small human female. The creature looked tough. Igor's claws and fangs might not get through its tough hide. I supposed we would have to find out the hard way. I nodded respectfully toward my opponents, then turned to squint at Igor.
Now that it was time to start the fight, things suddenly felt much more intense. I didn't mean to at first, but I closed my eyes so that I didn't have to watch whatever inevitably happened. Igor knew two commands from his training with the stranger. Bite and claw. Which one would be more effective? I wasn't sure, so I just shouted the first word that came to mind. "Igor, bite!" Igor didn't know much, but he did know that. He lowered his head, ran over to the other creature, and closed in for a bite.
[Igor uses Bite.]

Was that... a tat-lung? Nadia's ranged vision was not the best, given her eye condition, and at first she was certain she was seeing two creature opponents. Hardly fair. The spike in anxiety was only vaguely reduced by realising that she was being nodded at by them - a mark of sentience. They were the one presiding over the ghaenelt. The most she could think to do was return the nod, with a tremulous smile that certainly did not translate over the distance.
Then, things would begin. Gauge looked back at her, her ears flickering, and she forced herself to toughen her resolve. Whether she liked it or not, she was involved in this business, and she'd see it through.
"Gauge, kick!" One of the moves that had been taught to the pasha by another trainer, and all she could think of. Nadia watched with baited breath as Gauge sprang forward, preparing her attempt to kick the ghaenelt.
[Gauge uses Kick.]

Calculations
Igor uses Bite! Igor's Dexterity of 4 + 4 rolled by staff = 8 vs. the 3 Dexterity of Gauge Igor will deal the most damage possible! Igor's Strength of 5 + 3 damage of Bite = 8 damage 8 - 4 Resistance of Gauge = 4 Gauge's Stamina is now 2
Gauge uses Kick! Gauge's Dexterity of 3 + 3 rolled by staff = 6 vs. the 4 Dexterity of Igor Gauge will deal the most damage possible! Gauge's Strength of 5 + 4 damage of Kick = 9 damage 9 - 3 Resistance of Igor = 6 Igor's Stamina is now 0
Gauge takes half of her Strength in damage due to Igor's Thorny Body Gauge takes 2 damage Gauge's Stamina is now 0
They both hit and they hit hard. Gauge managed to take down the Ghaenelt first, however, before succumbing to her own injuries and is declared the winner! The Pit crew rush out to tend to both animals.
Results Gauge gains 2 levels and Nadia gains 5 pit prize points Igor gains 1 level and Star gains 3 pit prize points
