Fiera nodded along politely at Leafy’s explanation. That was pretty common as far as Fiera knew, in terms of why people wanted to get into pachee breeding. She lit up when Leafy asked her, however. Fiera was always excited to have an opportunity to talk about herself. “Oh well, I had the feeling I’d be good at it from the minute I started.” Fiera lied. “It’s just wonderful to see how the different colors and shapes blend together into beautiful offspring, you know?” She said, remembering her past breedings fondly. “Why, one time I-“ she said, only to get cut off by a call from the reception desk. “Fiera and Leafy? Your room is open now, room eight. On the left.” The receptionist said pointing toward the double doors leading back to the hall the breeding rooms were along. “Ah. Guess that’s us then.” Fiera said.

"You ready to go?" she asked Morphos as she lifted up his carrier.
Leafy was quite surprised at Fiera's answer. She didn't know that breeding could be something that someone was good at. She kind of just picked two pets that she liked and smushed them together. She liked all of the offspring that spawned from the breedings, so she assumed she was doing something right.
"I don't think I have much of an eye for that sort of thing. I just pick parents I like and see what happens. At least you know what you're doing! That should help us a lot I think."
She carried Morphos over to the breeding room that the receptionist led them to. She pushed the door open and held it open for Fiera to step through as well. Leafy didn't know all that much about manners, but that seemed like the polite thing to do. She felt a rush of pride at the thought that she had done the correct action.

“Oh, it will help a ton.” Fiera said, happy to bask in praise as she swept up Swirled Waves’ carrier. It didn’t take them too long to pass through the doors and down the hall into the breeding room. Fiera chuckled daintily as Leafy held the door open. “Well, thank you very much!” She said delightedly before looking around at the room. It was pretty standard as far as pachee breeding rooms went. It was clearly artificial, but covered in various fake plants and rocks to make the room feel more natural and comfortable for the small creatures. Still, they probably wouldn’t be spending too long in here. Fiera crouched down next to her carrier and got her breeding berries out. “Looks like it’s about time for these, then!” She said before pushing them through the bars for Swirl to eat. The pachee fell upon them hungrily, mashing them up and absorbing them through the roots on her feet.

Pachee had weird anatomy, that fact was one that Leafy did remember. They didn't eat like conventional creatures, instead absorbing nutrition through their feet like plants did. The girl placed Morphos's carrier down on the floor of the breeding room. She opened up the door to his carrier and then clicked her tongue to encourage him to leave the smaller space.
"It's time to make a new friend!" she told him.
Morphos was hesitant for a moment before he slunk out of the safety of his carrier. He hadn't been out of the kennel before so this was a new experience for him. He glanced around with wide, curious eyes until his gaze settled on the female Pachee. He moved closer until he could see Swirl clearly through the bars of her carrier. He stood up straighter and stretched out his wings in an attempt to capture the pretty female's attention.

Swirled was admittedly pretty grumpy when she had been brought here. This room smelled nice though, it was the perfect temperature, and Fiera had even given her some num mum’s to make her feel better. And now that the humanish was opening her carrier and letting her out, she had to admit that the view wasn’t bad either. Specifically, her view of the male that she could just barely see through the bars of her carrier before. He stretched out his leaves and while they weren’t very leafy, she had to admit they were quite pretty. She felt her forehead relax as she stood up on her hind legs herself, wiggling her own leaves in response, trying to play with him. Fiera noted that she was probably relaxed enough to accept the winged male’s pollen by this point- now they just needed Morphos to respond in turn.

Leafy let out a quick sigh of relief when it appeared that the two Pachee were taken with each other. Morphos puffed out his chest when it became clear that the pretty Pachee wanted to play with him. Though she didn't have wings, she still made an effort to impress him the same way that he had done for her. At least Morphos assumed she was trying to impress him. The leaves on her back were beautiful even if they weren't quite as special as his wings were. The male Pachee stood on his back legs and reared up, playfully flapping his wings in time with Swirl. While the female Pachee relaxed, Morphos felt his body fill with energy. His tail began to thump against the ground, releasing his pollen into the air. As he grew more comfortable, his tail slaps grew more enthusiastic. After his pollen filled the air around them, Morphos's tail stilled.
