After everyone had a chance to settle down and get used to the new little world around them, Sev figured that now was a good time to whip out that little berry - much, much better than nearly completely forgetting it like had almost happened the first time that she brought Cy down here... ever since she had made sure to get the feeding done and over with as early as possible to minimize the risk of that ever happening. Considering she'd only ever gotten two babies even with that berry on board, she didn't want to go with out... what if she only walked out of here with one baby? She'd rather have the chance at three or more rather than just a lonely one. It wouldn't even have a sibling to play with! A baby living without their dad had to be hard enough on its own.
"Come here," she cooed to the orbaru, who reacted to the soft tone of her voice with excitement. With the fruit in one hand and a freshly picked berry from her garden in the other hand, she offered each treat to its appropriate recipient. No one could be jealous of not getting a treat.

The pair both seemed to love their respective treats - good! Sevyrn always loved seeing one of her creatures happy to mow down one of her hand-picked snacks. She put a lot of effort in to making sure that her garden was as good as it could be and, as such, that the fruits and vegetables that she brought out of it were at as high of a quality as possible. She put a lot of pride in to her own hard work and dirty hands, and would likely be saddened if one of her treats was to be met with disdain.
As soon as they were done chowing down... the orbaru ran right off. Sev considered this a good time to rummage through her bag and find an assortment of items that she had brought along with her - Cy's favourite stuffie, a couple pillows for them to lay on and play around with, and a small selection of toys. She would have brought more, but had found that she was running out room quicker than she had expected to. Oh well... there was still a wide variety of things for the orbaru to play around with during their time here.

Cyprus squealed in happiness as her favourite stuffie hit the ground in front of her with a soft thud - Sev swore that she could almost hear the skid marks made by the sudden way that the albino came to a stop, burst in to a little fit of boops, and hopped straight on to the plush. Sevyrn loved this little lady - she had such a bright, energetic personality... the kind that she would love to see passed on to her babies, the kind that had already been passed on to her first litter. Of course it was in orbaru nature to be friendly and excitable, but Cy seemed to push nature just that little bit further than most did. Besides... after taking Spacemonster home, Sevyrn had come to realize that not all orbaru were so happy and sociable.
In the mean time while Cy put her focus in to her favourite toy, the male when from toy to toy to check them all out... none seemed to keep his interest, he simply just kept looking back to the lady that was there with him. Then, surprising to Sevyrn, he playfully lept towards her and landed on top, squishing her between him and the toy.

The squeal that Cyprus let out after that was not the same as the one before - she hadn't been paying attention to what was going on and been caught by surprise by the sudden weight on top of her. She struggled beneath him for just a moment before he let up, and by that point the female seemed to be just as in to whatever this was as Coca was. She shook her little rear in a play stance and then lept towards him, her smaller body unable to knock him to the ground with the first shot and make things even. At that point she leaped again, and this time she landed high enough to knock off his center of balance, and Coca fell backwards. They were playing around, Sev could tell by the gentle moves and the playful squeals. They seemed to be two happy campers just making time to bond with each other a bit. Pinned to the ground, Coca rolled his body to knock Cyprus to the side. The little lady wasn't going down without a fight, though - she was determined to be the winner of this little battle! Sevyrn had to laugh at how adorable it was.

Sevyrn decided to just let the pair do their thing for a little while - if she started hearing frantic noises or crashes she knew to start paying attention to what was going on, and if a sudden flash of light caught her attention then she knew that it was time to go home. Until then the pair had many, many toys to play with as well as each other, and ultimately the goal was that the pair would bond with each other well enough that they would be willing to breed, at which point... yay. It would be another job well done. It wasn't something that could be rushed, but that didn't mean that the woman's focus needed to be on the pair at all times.
As they continued to play-fight, Sevyrn rummaged through her bag for one of the items she had brought for herself - first she picked out her sketchbook which she put to the side, and after that pulled out a short novel that she had been trying to focus on for the last little while. There was no better time than in the middle of a waiting game to try to make some progress on that.

Page after page after page - but Sevyrn only got so far before her mind was back in the clouds where it seemed to always belong. She wasn't even thinking about orbaru - or these orbaru's babies - this time. No... there was so much more that had to be done. Her pond needed to be cleaned. Ramses needed some loving... Ramses. Just thinking about that little kitten was still enough for Sevyrn to start feeling hurt again. She hadn't been the malii's first owner - no, that title belonged to her late partner. It hurt to keep the little guy with her but she couldn't even move the malii to her kennel let alone try to sell it to someone else who wanted to give it a good home. She wanted to give him a good home - she just needed time to adjust to her new reality before she would be able to love that little kitten like she had before Ryden had passed away. It wasn't like they had never bonded with each other - he'd moved in to her house at the same time his owner had.
... Ryden would have loved Spacemonster. He probably would have loved all of her new orbaru.

He would have loved to have been here, too, and she would have loved having human company that she could actually have a conversation with. Life in general just... would have been so much better if he was still around. It would be a long time before his presence would stop leeching in to every facet of her life. Part of the reason she did some of the thing she did these days, part of why she had even picked up certain hobbies... he would have been proud of her, or at least happy that she considered pursuing something that he had enjoyed in his life. This? Sitting in this little room with two tiny little friendly creatures running around? He would have been proud of her for pursuing something that she had been nervous about, and thrilled to see how great of a time she was having going forth with it.
Knowing that she hadn't actually paid attention to the book in her hand since a page and a half ago, Sevyrn let her hands fall limp to her lap. Looking away from it she scanned the room for the orbaru that were with her... where had they gotten off to?

She'd seen orbaru play tag with each other before - for some reason it seemed to be a favourite of pairs bonding together. Therefore it didn't come as a surprise when she saw a flash of beige and brown chase after Cy's white form. What did surprise her was when she watched as Cyprus crashed head first in to the wall in front of her - time seemed to be going in slow motion as she pushed her own body to its feet and dashed over towards the door, kneeling down besides a rather dazed looking female albino orbaru.
"Are you alright, sweetie?" She asked the little one, who crawled up in to her lap and curled herself upon it. Cyprus's pink eyes scanned the room until they rested on Coca, who seemed to be frozen in place. After a moment of 'what in the world just happened' he ran towards the female and her human, seemingly interested in seeing how she was doing after such a grand assault to her own skull. He reached towards her and she reached back, as if to say that everything was okay. For now at least, she didn't seem to want to move from Sevyrn's lap.

At least they were getting along? The injury had come from play after all - they had to be liking each other enough to want to engage with each other. It... was better than the last time Sevyrn had been here, at least. Spacemonster had been an utter grump for the longest time, not even wanting to be around Sevyrn let alone the pretty neon-colored lady that had joined him in one of these rooms. Luckily Sevyrn knew what Cy was like in this place already, so she knew that she would play nice as much as she could. Unlike someone... she would at least try to bond with her new buddy.
Sevyrn wished that she could say this guy would be her buddy for life - she really did. Alas he was borrowed, and after all was said and done she would have to bring him back to his own home. If they seemed to really like each other (and Sev really liked their first litter of babies) she would definitely consider bringing the pair back together again one day, though. He was at least a good enough boy to show some concern after the lady with him found herself hurt.

As long as Cy stayed curled up on Sevyrn's lap, the woman softly stroked her back - it was the least that she could offer the little orbaru after the little tumble she had took. All the while Coca hovered near, occasionally pushing his face close to Cy's, or close to her body - checking her out and making sure that she was okay, it seemed to be. Sevyrn couldn't say for sure... there was no way to see what was actually going on in their minds, or at least not a way that she had access to. One day she might own a ribbon of telepathy to be able to interact with her creatures like that, but it would likely go to someone near and dear to her heart that she had a personal, long-lasting connection with... Bez, Rachet - Kika. One of the ones she had called her one of her best friends for the last decade.
Eventually Cyprus seemed ready to climb off of her lap, though - great. Obviously she hadn't hurt herself too bad if she was willing to get moving so quickly. Coca was right at her side the moment that she climbed off of the woman's lap.

His little boop of curiosity towards Cyprus was rather endearing to Sevyrn, who was falling in love with his little but big personality so quickly. This happened every time that she borrowed an orb from someone else - she just found herself wishing that she could keep them and bring them back home to her kennel to stay with her. As bad as it was... she had seriously considered at least once the idea of bringing whoever it was back to their owner and asking how much to outright buy them and take them home with her. Realistically that was very poor business and would likely bar her from being able to borrow anyone else ever again, but a woman could dream - and dream she did. She especially had wanted to bring Spacemonster's neon green and orange mate home with her to keep... But he belonged to the Zu, and how was she supposed to even consider keeping a creature that belonged to a not-for-profit that was so kind to the world that they offered their orbaru out to breeders at absolutely no cost, not even one of the babies? The Zu just wanted everyone to love orbaru as much as the people who worked there did.

Alright... Cyprus seemed to be doing pretty alright and the pair were back to playing - running around chasing each other again at that, as if that hadn't just gone horribly wrong for them last time. At least this time Cy was the one giving chase, catching up to the boy she was with rather easily? She had enough momentum going from that run she'd been on that she was able to crash him down beneath her, and then the game started again. As Sevyrn climbed to her feet to go back to the couch, she kept a very watchful eye on the little girl as she did so... the last thing that she needed was for Cyprus to get truly hurt. She'd been so proud of bringing home an albino the day she'd recieved Cy's egg, she was incredibly protective of that little lady. As a matter of fact, all the babies that she brought in to the world as well - Cy was just straight out one of Sev's favourite orbaru or at least one of the orbaru she brought in to the world that she was proudest of. Albino had been a very rare breed of original version orbarus.

Coca was able to tag Cyprus back without her ever hitting the wall - progress, compared to the last time. Sevyrn had to breathe out a deep sigh of relief after that. Finally she felt comfortable to sit back down on the couch and like she didn't have to be prepared to pounce, to get over to the little one's side and check on her again. All it would take is one head bash for her to get a concussion... Sev would already be keeping a close eye on the little lady throughout the rest of the day to make sure she didn't develop any delayed symptons - the last thing Cyprus needed was another knock to the noggin.
They seemed to be happy, though - it was a great thing. They seemed to be lost in a world that revolved only around the two of them and the game that they were playing, so Sev could take her attention of them for a little while... just a little while. After taking one last look towards the pair, Sev grabbed her book back up off of the couch and flipped to the set of pages before the one that she had been open to, knowing that she had dazed out part way through.

It was some murder-mystery, the book in her hand - not one of those trashy romance novels. Sevyrn had never been able to find herself interested in those kinds of books, leaning more towards the fantastical or mysterious or even dystopian rather than a cliche romance. Besides, those books did tend to be on the trashier - or at least more erotic - side and that just wasn't her kind of thing. Even the kinds of books that she did like struggled to be her thing with her short attention span and tendency towards letting her mind wander as soon as she properly got in to whatever it was in front of her. All it took was a little bit of monotony, repetition - she was suddenly off in la la land. People often struggled to hold conversations with her in which she didn't have be one hundred percent invested.
Had she looked towards the orbaru at this point instead of kept her nose three pages deeper in that book, she would have seen that they had taken to cuddling up with their heads resting side by side on one of the pillows. It seemed to be that they were just about ready to go.

Nope... this wasn't working. Sevyrn only got a couple pages farther in before her attention was pulled away from it, and rather than letting herself get further distracted she placed her book mark on the page that she was ready and closed it shut. After placing the book down on the little table she looked for the orbaru that accompanied her, and that was when she finally saw them cuddled up together. It was absolutely adorable... and it was only exactly like her to see a little moment like that and pick up her sketchbook to memorialize it. The first time she'd started drawing one of her rented orbaru with their mate she'd sworn that she was doing it to give their owner an added momento as a thank you for letting her care for their orbaru for the day, but now she didn't even pretend... she was drawing them just to add to her own collection.
After pulling her pencil out of the coils of her sketchbook, she flipped to the first clear page and brought pencil to paper. With the scene in front of her, she started to bring it to life on the pages within - a piece of orbaru cuteness for her to keep forever.
