Discord gave me an interesting idea to run past folks; we need a salon.
Open to both people and pets, they would welcome all.
I have a slight mental vision on how my local pet groomer is set up, with self-service bathing, and a groomers for pets. Creatures with feathers and scales can be groomed too, just differently. Larger creatures would be handled in another portion of the building, and must be well behaved. I would range about lv 10 and knowing stay and tolerance at bare minimum.
For people, a player can rp themselves getting a haircut, or do a back and forth with a -insert character here-.
Since grooming a pet is more of an ic story drive, any credits spent (if any) wouldn't be very much.
What do you think, interested? Opinions and other suggestions welcome.
The initial cost of setup would be 100c.

I like this idea! I think it got a little lost behind some other threads so no one else has seen it. Lol
I personally wouldn’t pay for the service, ooc, but I imagine ic it would make sense. If you ended up not charging ooc and wanted the ic to make more sense, it could be set up as a ‘public service’, in which the service provided is initially free to the customer. Then at the end of each month the shop owner submits the amount and frequency if customers to the city, which compensates them based on how much their service was used - the money, of course, coming out of our taxes.
I like doing that, ic, and it’s actually how I have the Malii Mantra set up. (Although technically the MM is an amenity since the Malii live there and I don’t get paid ooc.)
I would definitely bring my characters. I like the idea of there being different stylists with their own personalities, idk if you want to experiment with npc’s. Lol Also the pet-spa idea sounds really fun! I actually like the small training requirement to bring a pet, since it makes sense and gives more common non-battling pets something to strive for in training. ;)
