Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Name of Owner: Riku Name of Pet: Poseidon Species and Breed of Pet: Poseidon Equillion V2 Level: 7 Loyalty to Owner: 5 Stats: Stamina: 6 Strength: 5 Resistance: 4 Dexterity: 4 (3+1) Mentality: 1 Any natural boost to stats: Bracelet Of Minor Agility Special Abilities: Run, Water Immunity Moves Taught: Horn Strike (2), Buck (3) Abilities Used on Command: N/A Tricks Taught: N/A Creature Carries Ribbon? No *Special!* Chosen extra move *Special!*: N/A The Equillion grunted and cautiously circled the pit a few times while waiting for the new opponent. He half expected it ti be hiding somehow or waiting for him to let his guard down. After a few excruciatingly long minutes, one of the gates opened, and he quickly turned to face it with his head down and horn ready. The tamer who had led him in stepped through the opening with his hands up gently. After a few seconds, Poseidon let him approach, and he was guided back out of the ring. There....was no fight? Riku received notice from an official who informed him that their scheduled opponent had withdrawn. It wasn’t explained if it was (misplaced) intimidation or just personal reasons, but he nodded and another few minutes later his Equillion was guided back into the circle. Who would they be up against this time? He looked down at his animal friend who was looking up at him with multiple emotions wrapped up in his two eyes...

Even if Riku’s scheduled opponent hadn’t shown up, that wouldn’t be the case for Fiera. She was eating and ready to try again after her and Ophelia’s hard loss to that mosca in the last round. Fiera thought that Ophelia would perhaps be upset at her, but instead she seemed... more determined. Focused. She had gotten lazy last time, and was intending to do better this time. As she stalked out into the arena against her next opponent, the amphadron’s hands twitched slightly as if she was practicing her spell again. Fiera nodded approvingly and took her place above the arena, staring out at her opponent. It certainly wasn’t anyone she had met before, that was for sure. Well, perhaps that was a good thing. After all, the last person she saw down here that she recognized had kicked her ass. It was probably best to stick to strangers.

Riku saw the new trainer come up into the stands across from him. ‘Trainer’ seemed an inappropriate term to use universally. For all he knew this new team had a great bond and had actually worked together towards their results. In contrast, he still barely knew the creature he had entered. He was already here and participating. The creature hd already been exposed to the cycle. He didn’t want that to go in vain - but he wasn’t sure if he’d enter another ‘stranger’ again.
Poseidon carefully watched as both the humanoid and the animalistic creature stepped into the positions they seemed to each round before. Again, he kept a distance at first with the other creature while triggering a slow circling pattern. And again the humanoid above observed Riku from a moderate distance. He saw the new person take extra notice of his human, and then his human expressing a humble smile in return.
Back to the new, smoother creature, he hypothesized their flesh may be susceptible to puncture wounds. Lowering his head, he charged towards the Amphadron in a moment he’d hoped wasn’t too anticipated.

Fiera watched as her opponents entered, watching carefully for any signs of what techniques they would use. Fiera was offered a smile- she didn’t return it. They were fighting against each other after all, not cuddling up and getting comfy. Then there was a moment of movement down in the ring while Fiera was distracted by her opponent. Crap! She had let herself get distracted, what was happening down there? She peered over the railing down at the equillion. It had started charging at Ophelia already- she hadn’t even heard her opponent give them command to strike! She should have known better, but hopefully Ophelia could still pull out a win. “Ophelia, use your wave!” She called. Immediately, magic started pulling through the arena as Ophelia pulled it to her hands, swirling them through the air. In a matter of moments a huge wave of muddy water was summoned too, bringing it above her head before “throwing” it at her opponent.

Calculations
Ophelia uses Wave of Muck! Ophelia's Dexterity of 5 + 7 rolled by staff = 12 vs. the 4 Dexterity of Poseidon Ophelia will deal the most damage possible! Wave of Muck does 5 Water and 5 Earth damage Poseidon is immune to water attacks! 5 Earth damage - 4 Resistance of Poseidon = 1 Poseidon's Stamina is now 5
Poseidon uses Horn Strike! Ophelia's Danger Sense activates, Poseidon misses his attack!

The mighty wave crashed down on the equillion, sweeping it backward. Fiera smiled wickedly, watching to see if it would get up... and it looked like it hadn't even been knocked over! It was definitely a lot WETTER than before, that was for sure, but it didn't seem to be much worse for wear. If anything, it just looked particularly mad. At least it had knocked the creature off balance enough that its sharp horn had missed Ophelia completely, but Fiera wasn't sure if that trick would work twice. They would have to work as fast as possible now to whittle it down as much as possible. They might still be able to pull out a win here... but they would have to hustle and hope that this equillion was QUITE uncoordinated. "Ophelia, use wave of muck again!" She called out, hoping that she would be able to move as fast as before.

Riku saw the other trainer hadn‘t returned his politeness. That was fine. He wasn’t really here to make friends, anyway. If anything, it made things a bit simpler to not need to exchange niceties. He heard them call out a command, and almost instantly a huge wave of mucky water clearing the field. What a sight!
Poseidon missed his instinctual attack and was quickly consumed by the wave that was even taller than he was. Fortunately, the water didn’t negatively phase him. His legs quickly switched into swimming mode and only the bits of rock and sand nipped at his ankles - but not much more than that. A few feet back, it gave him perfect room to line up another strike.
This time he heard a voice from above call out to him, reassuring him to use horn strike again. He dug his hind legs into the floor of the pit as the last of the water faded, and lunged forward with his head down. Then just as he was nearing contact, he saw another large wave coming his way...!

Calculations
Ophelia uses Wave of Muck! Staff rolled a 10! Ophelia's attack automatically hits! Wave of Muck does 5 Water and 5 Earth damage Poseidon is immune to water attacks! 5 Earth damage - 4 Resistance of Poseidon = 1 Poseidon's Stamina is now 4
Poseidon uses Horn Strike! Poseidon's Dexterity of 4 + 7 rolled by staff = 11 vs. the 5 Dexterity of Ophelia Poseidon will deal the most damage possible! Poseidon's Strength of 5 + 4 damage of Horn Strike = 9 damage 9 - 2 Resistance of Ophelia = 7 Ophelia's Stamina is now -4
While she got in a couple of good hits, there was no way to negate the Equillion's water immunity. Ophelia is taken down and the Pit crew divide into two teams to tend to the wounded!
Results Poseidon gains 2 levels and Riku gains 5 pit prize points Ophelia gains 1 level and Fiera gaind 3 pit prize points
