There were so many more stones to uncover and find, it could sense them all around it! It silently scoffed at whatever the human was busying himself with then he could be leading them deeper into the mines to find more treasures. It was no matter. Even without the human's help it was making progress finding more and more gems, it could even sense some right now, it just needed to continue to search them out. And once it did it would have more and then it would find more. Its plan was flawless.
Lucio also eventually lost interest in the human and the houluh, looking around for a nice place to perhaps take a nap. They'd been doing a lot of training and he was a bit tired, especially from breathing so much fire. It took a lot of energy to generate that much heat and, while he had plenty of snacks, he figured that some rest would do him well, too.
While the others were occupied, Kadin continued to comfort the houluh. He fed it some treats and offered it soothing words to try to convince it that it was safe. But he was a bit worried that it would be a lost cause, all things told, since it still seemed distressed no matter what he said. He'd probably have to take it out of here, it was probably too young or inexperienced to learn that scary things aren't all that bad when you thought about it. They could take a break and come back later.
