* Name: Aegocerus Kontodimas
* Commonly Called: ‘Click’
* Race: Ungulate
------Subgroup: Boar/Fallow deer (Leucistic variant)
* Gender: Male
* Age: 24
* Height: 5"4
* Native Language: Greek
* Other Languages: Common
Physically speaking, Click is a typical Ungulate - there's nothing unusual about him that would make him stick out in a crowd of his own kind. His lower half is distinctly deer, aside from his tail, which clearly reflects his boar ancestry by being long, thin, and tipped with a small tuft of fur that's slightly darker (grayer) than the thick, curly, white fur which covers him to the hips. Above this point, the fur thins out, and eventually gives way to bare, pale peach skin, save for a thin strip of the stuff which runs up the center of his stomach before tapering out a bit below his chest. He also has longer tufts which crop up around his elbows. Otherwise, he's no fuzzier than a well-groomed human male might be. This is because, as one might have guessed, Click's top half is more or less human. It's an Ungulate thing. Of course there are a few glaring exceptions to the rule. His hands are a sort of a hybridization between human and deer, for one thing, and they lack opposable thumbs. His nose, instead of being ape-like, is very deer-like, and doesn't protrude from his face quite as much as one would expect. Furthermore, Click's pale gray/blue eyes are slightly larger than that of a plain human being, and his pupil is more of a horizontal oval than a circle. His teeth are very similar to that of a boar. And finally... his ears could be either boar, dear... or both. No one can really say for sure as the two kinds are so similar. Either way, they're soft and fluffy! Just like the shaggy mop of white, curly hair which tops his head. Throw a pair of antlers on him and you have the complete picture.
(Click sheds his antlers in early spring, then grows them back over the course of the summer. Therefore their appearance changes from month to month and year to year, and it's possible to catch him without them)
(His antlers aren't the only thing that sheds - his thick fur has a tendency to get everywhere. It's like having six cats and a dog in your house, all at once.... and there's always plenty more where that came from!)
A city kid born and bred, Click's heart beats to the rhythm of the streets. He can't hear himself think without the clatter of cart wheels on cobblestone, the incessant babble of faceless passerby, and the hum of air-conditioning units - a sound which always floats so peacefully across rooftops on quiet summer afternoons. Thus the hustle and bustle of the Labs isn't too terribly different from where he grew up... as long as you overlook the monsters everyone seems hell-bent on keeping as house-pets. Click isn't quite sure he can ever get used to that. Even if he does have a few of his own now. Monsters aside, it didn't take long for Click to settle into the city. These days the young Ungulate knows every nook and cranny of every block, dead-end alley, abandoned building and rooftop like the back of his hand, along with a million shortcuts to a million places that few others know exist. Every habitually unlocked door, window or gate is marked upon his mental map, as is every loose grate and hole in the wall. He also more-or-less has the traffic patterns down to a science. Therefore it's quite easy for him to vanish into the cityscape, and if he doesn't want to be found... you won't find him. His insatiable curiosity paired with his love of Parkour are responsible for this. Sometimes he just spends a whole day hanging out on a rooftop, watching the world go by beneath him.
As an individual, Click tends to be easygoing and gregarious; most comfortable in the company of others. Of course his inquiring (and mathematically inclined) mind can sometimes get him into trouble because his incessant questions about anything and everything WILL irritate people. Thankfully, said questions are easy to ignore. Just don't read the notepad he's trying to shove in your face, or claim you can't read. If you do the latter though, and if Click finds out about it, he'll likely never respect you again. He's always been a very truthful person himself, and appreciates it when people return the favor. Especially when it comes to important things. He'd much prefer that you tell him you don't know or don't care instead of trying to spare his feelings!
It's also important to note that Click was born mute. Simple as that. It's not the result of some tragic accident, isn't because he's suffering from permanent laryngitis, and has nothing to do with curses. It's a congenital defect. As long as he keeps track of his notepad and his pencil, it rarely causes him any major problems. Unless the person he's trying to communicate with can't read, that is... in which case there's always charades. It's a good thing Click is a fairly patient person.
Finally, Click tends toward the vain. Not in the 'oh no there's mud on my face, eeeee' kind of way, but in a 'I just finished working out and buffing my antlers, you know I look great' kind of way. He cares very much for the physical condition and fitness of his body! No junk food for this guy! And he rarely drinks. As far as what he wears, though, it's a catch 22. Click really could care less about clothing - he carries most of his day-to-day stuff in a backpack, so he doesn't need the pockets, and he doesn't care one bit if folks stare at his torso, so he's not much for covering up as long as weather allows. Anything he dons is a concession to human/humanish norms, and nothing more. He doesn't really care what condition it's in.

Coming to the Crossroads:
***********
To make a long story short, an old friend of Click's randomly persuaded him to join a poker game which needed one last player to round it out... and a certain Avian just so happened to be sitting across the table when he got there. Luck was not with her that night though, and she quickly overreached herself. She just didn't seem to know when to stop. Thus, in the end, when Click threw a 'full house' and came away with the spoils, he found himself the new owner of most of Renna's worldly goods - including all her property in some distant place called 'The Labs'. Which he'd never even heard of. As the Avian vanished into the night before he could ask her about things, he was left with nothing to do but gather up the papers she'd left him and endeavor to find out by himself just what it was he'd won, even if it did require a bit of traveling! He'd never been particularly attached to his small, flea-pit of an apartment, anyway...
Color Blind - gives a bonus of 1 trait point (6 + 1 = 7)
You cannot see colors properly.. Green and Blue often look too similar to tell apart - and sometimes, you confuse purple with orange. How sad for you. **If you are human, you can only take this if your character is male - otherwise, any gender can take this trait.
Cat's Balance - costs 1 trait point (7 - 1 = 6)
You can never be caught off balance.. usually.. Climbing trees is much easier for you, and so is tight-rope walking, though, you still can't do it without practice. You never, ever trip over your own feet, that's for sure.
Stallion's Stamina - costs 2 trait points (6 - 2 = 4)
You are can usually run longer distances without loosing your breath as quickly as the "normal" of your species.. You can also take more damage than the "normal" of your species.. you get a permanent +1 bonus to stamina.
Danger Sense - costs 3 trait points (4 - 3 = 1)
You know something's out there to get you - and you can always tell when danger is lurking. You can always avoid the 1st attack in a battle.
Falcon's Grace - costs 2 trait points (1 - 2 = -1)
You are more fast and agile than the "normal" of your species.. you get a permanent +1 bonus to dexterity.
Feline Curiosity - gives a bonus of 1 trait point (-1 + 1 = 0)
Curiosity killed the cat... and, with you - it almost always gets you into trouble. You just.. you have to know! What was that sound?! *goes to look*
