Kennel Name: Flamestone Kennels Houluh Image:  What is your Houluh's Sex?: Patronne Desired Show Name: Walk a Mile Well. Here was another place Kadin hadn't been before. He walked into the contest hall, more than a little turned around and somewhat unsure of where he should be going. There was... a lot of stuff here, for all that it was a big room with room to show off a bunch of pets at once. Plus, he had one of his pups with him, and it was hard not to worry about getting lost in a place like this with his houluh pup, of all things. After some searching, he managed to work out where the registration area was. He went over to the desk and, with relief, found the forms he needed to fill out in order to get this whole thing over with. Miles stood by his side, whining about all the smells he could smell, probably. Or maybe it was the lights, they were pretty bright. Kadin found it comforting that he wasn't the only one who was nervous, at least. They were in this together.

Once the form was filled out and he was allowed to do this, uh, Debutante thing, Kadin walked out with Miles into the middle of the ring. "So, this is Miles." He said, paused, and sighed. "Walk a Mile. And we're just going to get started."
Kadin bent down to unclip Miles' leash. He hadn't really planned out what they were going to do when they got here? He figured that he'd just think of something on the fly. It couldn't be that hard.
"Hey Miles." Kadin said, grinning when the pup looked up at him with a yip. "Race."
With that, Kadin took off, running around the show area. Miles barked happily and raced after him, quickly overtaking him. Kadin grinned, stopping suddenly, and called out, "Miles, sit!"
Practically in the middle of his stride, Miles skid to a stop, spun to look at Kadin, and plopped his butt on the ground. He was panting lightly, tail wagging, and eyes glued on his human.
"Good boy, Miles. Come." Miles trotted over to Kadin and accepted a pat on the head, pleased with himself. Maybe it wasn't so bad to show off in this ring after all!

Kennel Name: Flamestone Kennels Houluh Image:  What is your Houluh's Sex?: Matronne Desired Show Name: Dodged a Bullet Not long after Kadin had brought Miles to show off everything he'd learned, he came back with Dodge. Dodge had been incredibly jealous when Miles had come back smelling of new places and people. He could barely contain himself when Kadin was hooking him up to the leash to take him to the place he'd smelled on his friend. They had gone through quite the adventure together, after all, and quite the amount of training. Now that they were finally here Dodge looked just as nervous as Kadin had felt his first time. Kadin brushed it off, acting like nothing was wrong for Dodge's benefit. He only hoped that once they got started Dodge would be able to shake it off, too. Kadin walked up to the desk (he knew where it was now) and filled out the form for his pup. He vaguely wondered how long it'd be before he'd be here again with another houluh, but shook off the thought. The others would be ready when they were ready, not a moment sooner.

Once he was done filling out the form, he turned to Dodge. "Alright, 'Dodged a Bullet', ready to show off what you've got?"
The pup stared back up at him with wide eyes, clearly a bit confused about what was going on, but Kadin just smiled back. They'd be fine.
He lead him out into the arena, unclipping his leash and getting ready. He probably shouldn't do the same thing he'd done with Miles. Dodge was nervous, so best to ease her into it, right? "Dodge, sit."
Dodge had been fidgeting a bit, looking around in all different directions, unsure what to do. Once Kadin gave him a command, however, he sat down quickly and looked over at his human. He knew how to do that!
"Good pup. Now down." Kadin said with a smile, watching as Dodge laid down quickly, too, nervous melting away to the familiarity of performing tricks.
"Great! Now stay." Kadin turned around and started to walk away. He walked about half the length of the show area before turning around, watching Dodge as he leaned forward slightly, but stayed on the ground. "Good, Dodge! Come!" With that, Dodge was off like a shot, as if he'd never been down to begin with. He ran right up to Kadin, yipped once, and circled around him with tail wagging fiercely for his pets.

Kennel Name: Flamestone Kennels Houluh Image:  What is your Houluh's Sex?: Matronne Desired Show Name: Let There Be Light It had been a hot minute since he’d last been here. Miles and Dodge were both grown not too long ago, but today Kadin came with another special houluh. Lux had been with him in the mines for a while now, learning all kinds of tricks and tips that’s be useful to him both in the mines and out of them. But after all that training, he figured it was time to show off everything he’d learned, too. Kadin made his way over to the desk at the contest hall where he needed to fill out the form, greeting the person behind the counter quietly. He filled out the forms and looked out at the arena, then to Lux. “Ready to get going?” He asked the houluh with a small smile, grinning when the celestial barked back. Yeah, they were ready to get going. Kadin pat Lux on the head before heading over to the show floor.

Kadin and Lux walked out onto the show follow. Of course, he hadn’t really planning out what he wanted to show off before coming out here, but after thinking for a moment Kadin shrugged and figured that they’d just wing it. “Hey Lux?” He said, grinning when Lux looked up at him. “Leap!”
With a delighted bark, Lux leapt out across the show floor. Kadin stayed where he was, watching while Lux spun around to look back at him. He opened his arms and called out, “Leap up!”
Lux charged to his human, happily flinging himself into Kadin’s arms. Kadin carried him out to the center of the ring and let him down. He sat down then, calling Lux back over and directing him over himself. “Over!”
Lux jumped right over his human, a couple more times than strictly necessary, clearing having the time of his life jumping all over the damn place. Kadin figured that by now that was good enough, getting up and waiting to see the consensus.

Kennel Name: Flamestone Kennels Houluh Image:  What is your Houluh's Sex?: Matronne Desired Show Name: One Smart Cookie After Lux’s show was over, Kadin went ahead and brought the houluh home. The next thing he knew? He was back with Cookie. He walked over to the desk again, a bit bashful at being back so soon after he’d literally just been here, but not apologetic for it. He’d done a lot of hard work training both of these houluh and Cookie was one he was especially proud of. While Lux could just all over the dang place like a crazy puppy, she was the muscle. She was trained more for combat, likely able to take out all of the other houluh in his kennel just by virtue of her training. He was looking forward to showing off what she knew today, just because it was going to be so different from the other showings he’d done so far. So Kadin filled out the form and handed it over, ready to get started once he got the go ahead.

Kadin led Cookie out onto the show ring. For this one, he needed to set up some stuff beforehand. Cookie wasn’t just going to be running around like crazy as his other houluh had. Kadin had brought various stuffed animals and set them up around the show ring. They resembled galabex, sarane, equillion, and a few other types of creatures just to have some variety.
“Ready Cookie?” He asked, please when she looked up at him, wagging her tail hard. “Alright, lets go. Bite!” He called out, pointing at one of the stuffed animals that resembled a sarane. Or. Well. Some quadrupedal dragon like thing. Cookie shot right towards it, growling cutely while she jumped up and bit it on the leg.
“Good, Cookie! Now claw!” He called out, pointing at another stuffed animal, this one looking like an equillion. With a bark of excitement, Cookie shot off, rearing back to rake her claws down the stuff animal’s side. “Great job, Cookie!” He encouraged, pleased.

Kennel Name: Flamestone Kennels Houluh Image:  What is your Houluh's Sex?: Patronne Desired Show Name: Why so Cirrus It had been a little while, but Kadin was back here again with another houluh. This time it was a young male, Cirrus, who had finally been trained up enough to be shown with the big dogs. Kadin had spent some extra care with him, teaching him some things he normally didn't teach. There was a first time for anything, however. Kadin quickly filled out the form, wondering how the houluh he still had at home were getting on. He still needed to work with Skip more after this, not to mention Elk had been a long time coming before he was finally ready to join the other houluh as adults. But today was Cirrus' day and Kadin would do his best to devote the attention to him that he deserved. He earned it, after all, what with most of his training being focused at being better at protecting those around them.

Once the papers were filled out, handed over, and accepted, Kadin and Cirrus headed out to start the show. Kadin brought him into the area and looked down at the pup who was already watching him, tongue hanging out and clearly ready for whatever he wanted him to do. With a slight smile, Kadin asked him, "Ready, Cirrus?"
The houluh immediately perked up at his name, tail wagging. Without waiting for an answer besides that, Kadin moved on to the next thing Cirrus should know. "Good, Cirrus. Now Growl."
The houluh immediately dropped into a bow and growled his little heart out, sounding more cute than fierce just by virtue of his size. After a moment, Kadin nodded, "Good boy! Now guard!"
Immediately, the houluh turned around and got in front of Kadin, looking around for any threats that he might need to guard the human from. His defensive stance was distinct. "Great job, buddy." Kadin praised him, pleased.
