It always seemed to surprise her when she looked at Zech, at just how big he was. She smiled though and patted him on the shoulder at the gardens, she wasn’t sure if his size would pass on, but that was fine either way, she knew with a chuckle. Jack was just happy to have some Dragon Oaks running around in the garden at this point, and she hoped to have another Greater in the garden this time as well. With her luck, however, she probably would get two Fluttering sized ones, however, but that was fine by her. The more the merrier at this point. Ochre, having been bred before, figured she knew what was going to happen when she saw the woman placing a root pair in her bag as she picked the two of them up, and the easy little customized Dragon Oak nuzzled up to Zech as often as she could as they walked. The Greater didn’t quite understand what was going on at the moment, which was alright for the woman, he would figure it out eventually, but he enjoyed the attention, most definitely. Jack chuckled a little, well, at least this was going to be interesting she knew.

Jack had her fingers crossed for another Greater from this breeding, but so far her luck hadn’t been that great with wild breedings. Her last solo breeding had produced three Kairfuryoo, not a Kair in sight, and so she was thinking of giving away or selling two of the chicks, she hadn’t made up her mind yet. There was a lovely white one, however, that she was going to keep, and she would breed the pair again and again until she got a Kair from them, she figured with a smile. She already had two Kair, but she didn’t know what else she wanted one for. Whatever worked, however, and she smiled a little as she thought about the two Kair back at the Kennel as she walked toward the Breeding Center with the two Dragon Oaks, away from the garden. She knew it was going to be weird breeding a Fluttering and a Greater together today, but she was sure the Breeding Center had seen odder things for now. Smiling to herself, she wondered what the odds of getting a Greater were, but then figured she didn’t want to know, it would only upset her if she didn’t get one.

Hopefully she had good odds to get a Greater, but there was always that chance of not getting what she wanted. After all, she hadn’t gotten a Kair from that one breeding. Giving a sigh, she rested one hand on Zech’s shoulder and the other on Ochre’s head as they walked, and she wondered what things would be like when this was all done. That was the issue though, she didn’t know what to make of them right now. Shrugging a little, she figured it didn’t really matter, as long as she got some cute offspring and all that. That was the most important thing, that they were healthy and all that, she figured with a smile, the other baby from Ochre was doing quite well though, so she had every right to feel as though things would be well with this one. Jack didn’t know what to expect from these two, but she had a feeling they were going to be great no matter what, and that was important as well. She hated it when she wasn’t all that fond of the offspring and then just sold them afterward, that was the worst part of it all, she figured with a little frown on her face as she walked.

Without much to do at the moment, she figured it wouldn’t be that bad if she turned out to get two Fluttering Dragon Oaks from the breeding, she figured the Greater gene would be harder to pass down for whatever reason. She was really stuck on Arvest not growing yet, and wondered if she had done something wrong in his show or something. Sighing a little, Jack wondered what to do for herself right now, but this was the best course of action, she figured with a little nod as she watched the two Dragon Oaks interact in front of her. Ochre was leading the way, she knew what was going on, and Zech, though much older and wiser, was following along, a huge animal after a small one. This would be an interesting breeding, she knew, and things would be alright in the long run. At least she would have more baby Dragon Oaks to play with, she knew with a chuckle, and the woman reached out to touch Zech’s tail for a moment. This was going to be great, she knew that it was going to be fine in the end, of course it would. Well, at least she hoped it would.

The fact that she could get a Greater from the breeding is what prompted her to breed them in the first place. At least she already had one if she didn’t, however, which was a good thing no matter what. She had bought him years ago off of someone else, and she had been more than thrilled when he had been delivered. Since then she had kept a watchful eye on him, she didn’t want anyone trying to take off with him or anything, that would be the worst considering there were maybe a handful of them in the entirety of the Labs. Ochre, however, was a little different. Almost everyone had a Fluttering Dragon Oak nowadays, but she was a special case, specially ordered from Sanctuary in the Labs. Smiling happily at the two Dragon Oaks wandering in front of her, one small and one big enough for her to ride if she so wished (which she did, she just hadn’t gotten around to training him), she hoped they would give her something that would be amazing. Of course she was hoping for another Greater, but that was alright if she didn’t get one. What she really wanted was a Kair from the pair of Kairfuryoo she had bred before...

Ochre had always been interested in Zech it would seem, and she was thrilled the two of them got to be together for the day. Jack chuckled at her interest and wondered if she would calm down when the time was right. It wasn’t like this was going to be easy, they might need one of those patio rooms, the big glass rooms outside they were constructing for some reason. Was there going to be something else here soon? It was an exciting thought, and she wondered what it was going to be. Smiling, she shook her head, like she needed more breedables for the Labs… Whatever, if something was available to breed in the Breeding Center, she would probably get into it at some point, and that was the truth of that. Jack pushed her hair back, it was short again and curled up tightly to her head sometimes, and she hoped that she didn’t look too terribly foolish with her hair like this. Oh well, it was hair, it would grow back she knew with a chuckle. It was alright in the long run, she knew, and the woman sighed a little as she watched her Dragon Oaks trundle along toward the Center.

At least they were in the home stretch on the way to the Breeding Center, though she wondered if she should get a leaflet or something to better her chances of getting a Greater. No, she wouldn’t do that right now, she could always breed them again, and it was cheaper just to breed them again and again than to breed them continuously with a leaflet combined with the root pair, right? Jack chuckled a little, she was on a quest for a few specific things, and hoped that she was going to be alright in the end of it all. Maybe she would have quite a few things to sell eventually, she didn’t really know right now, and that was fine with her. All she knew was that she needed to get these two to the Breeding Center so they could eat their root pair and breed before they tried outside of the Center. That would be hard to explain, she knew, and she chuckled a little as she touched her node pouch at her hip, hoping she could get another node soon. It wasn’t for lack of trying to find crystals after all, she just needed five more, which seemed ridiculous when it all came down to it. Oh well, she would get them sooner or later, maybe from Curious Collections and the Trader rather than the mines at this point though.

It wasn’t as though crystals from the shop were less potent, after all, but it just felt like she hadn’t done a lot of work in order to find them at this point. Sighing a little to herself, she just wished she could find them and get it over with, she needed more materials if she was going to do this though, and was going to make it a point to work with Serf, her King of the Evergreen, this winter to try and get more berries. It would be alright in the end, she knew, and the woman chuckled a little as she tried to figure out what to do for herself in the long run. The Dragon Oaks in front of her were interesting creatures, to be sure, and the babies were really cute at the same time, but she really hoped to get a Greater, and she really wanted to breed with someone else after this. Hopefully she could find someone, she didn’t really know though, and what would they even breed? She had found a friend, she hoped, in Sevyrn, the other woman liked breeding things as well and it was a fun thing to do together, she knew. At least they both got babies that way, and spent a little time together, which was always nice when it came down to it.

Life had an interesting way of throwing curves at a person though, and while she had hoped for a few things no matter what, it barely worked out for her it would seem. Jack pushed her hair back a little and glanced around, wondering what to do with things as she walked the two Dragon Oaks to the Breeding Center. Every few steps they would flutter their wings, with Zech’s blowing Ochre sideways from time to time. She was as big as one of his wings it would seem, maybe she was a little smaller, it was hard to tell right now, and so it wasn’t surprising she moved whenever he beat his wings. A few little hops and he would flutter his way forward. Jack found the motion endearing and wondered if Ochre would pick up on it or not. She wanted to teach them to fly in order to patrol the garden and protect it a little, but she was also worried about them flying off. Not that they would if they were a little more loyal, but it was always a worry that Zech at least would be taken considering there were so few of them. They had been prizes from the war before she had gotten there, they were a little prized.

Almost there, just a little bit longer and they would be at the Breeding Center, which was certainly a good thing no matter how you looked at it. She just hoped good offspring would come from these two, even if they were both small like Ochre was. Jack pushed her hair back with a sigh, she wasn’t sure what to do for them at the moment, not like there was much she could do, but that was alright at the same time. Everything would work out for them eventually, she just had to trust in her gut a little bit no matter what, right? Things would work out, she would eventually get her special Greater, and then she could move on to other things. Sanctuary had promised other types of wings at some point on their Dragon Oaks, and she couldn’t wait to see what they were going to look like. Jack chuckled, she wasn’t sure what to do for her Dragon Oaks at the moment, but she was sure they were getting along, all things considered. Ochre was still nuzzling up to Zech whenever she could, and the bewildered Greater just seemed confused by the whole situation, but was happy to be out and about.

She and Zech did spend time with each other every now and then, enough for the Greater to be fairly loyal at this point, but she was still worried about things she figured. Shaking her head, she wondered what Ochre would do if he ran away, she would probably be heartbroken, the woman figured as she watched her little Fluttering Dragon Oak flitter her wings up and down in front of Zech. Giving a little chuckle, she patted Zech on the shoulder again and started to move once more, they were almost to where they needed to be, which was fine with her, she figured with a little smile. Jack wasn’t sure what to expect from them of course, but that’s what made it interesting. She hoped for a Greater but probably wouldn’t get one, that was just her luck, she knew with a snort. Zech followed her now, a giant shadow behind her, and she glanced at him for a moment, getting an idea for a crossbreeding… Now that would be interesting, mixing him with an Alurook, and she raised an eyebrow at the thought as the three of them walked along the sidewalk and the road to the Breeding Center.

At least the cross would be big enough to ride, since they were both big enough to ride, Jack considered with a little smile on her face, and she hoped that everything would be fine for them right now. Well then, that was certainly something to experiment with, maybe she could think of what to do at the moment if she got that. Of course the slots were full for crossbreedings, and had been for some time without any delivery. That was a concern for her, and she frowned as she glanced back at the Dragon Oaks behind her, Ochre still trying to impress Zech at the moment. Maybe Trepuldra wasn’t going to deliver what they had promised to people, it was tough to think about, but maybe that would be the case. She shook her head, no, it wasn’t like she needed to be concerned with something that wouldn’t affect her in any way, shape, or form, but the woman was still a little worried about it. What if something had happened to the owner of the Labs sanctioned shop? She wasn’t sure what to think, but there had to be a good explanation for it, right? Of course there probably was, she didn’t need to worry.

Ochre wasn’t sure what to do about the Greater Dragon Oak for the moment, he wasn’t paying much attention to her and she wondered if it was because he was so much bigger than she was. The woman would turn and smile at her from time to time, but she didn’t know what all that meant, at least not yet. She reached out and tugged at the Greater’s tail, startling him, and she took the few moments he was still to scramble up on top of his back and settled down, wings folded back so she didn’t have to walk anymore. Zech would do it for her, after all! Jack chuckled a little and shook her head, it shouldn’t have surprised her that Ochre would find a way around doing something, and she hoped that she could get some acorns from the pair later on in the year. Maybe she would be lazy with that as well, could you even get acorns from a customized one? She didn’t see why not, and she chuckled a little as they slowly came upon the Breeding Center. Zech was startled again when he saw the white washed building in front of them, windows going from floor to ceiling and right next to each other. Were they going in there?

The building was pretty big, but she knew from experience that they were going to need one of those patios outside for Zech and Ochre. The rooms were nice and all, but they wouldn’t hold the Greater, and probably not whatever they were building the little patio extensions for either. Raising an eyebrow, she wondered what else could possibly be bred, but it didn’t bother her too much, at least not yet. Making the two of them stay outside, they listened just a little bit at this point, she went inside and started to fill out some paperwork, wondering what they were going to do if she had brought Zech and Ochre inside. The Greater was a little intimidating to some people, she knew, and so it was best he was left outside but where she could still keep an eye on him. Jack was just pleased still that he was hers, she had lucked out in being the first person to offer on him, and the seller had jumped at the offer, so now the rare specimen was hers. That was the best part, she was a collector, of sorts, and wondered what to do with things at the moment. Maybe she shouldn’t be a collector when it came to animals, but… what else could she really do?
