The only time Sevyrn had ever been involved with something on the quest board before was when she had been whisked off by an astronomer, not even having time to look at the board. She'd been curious ever since, though, and the next time that she wandered past the board she started reading through the fliers attached with a little Malii at her side. Maybe she should work through the list? Start at the top and see what all she could come across. She'd gotten a really sweet galaxy themed backpack as a reward from her last adventure - what else was there to be earned? These tasks seemed to come with a reward, after all. Pulling the first one off the board, Sevyrn grimaced. It was about clearing bugs out of someone's garden, possibly for some prized vegetables. As much as she hated bugs she was used to dealing with them in a garden setting - how bad could it be? The woman crouched down to talk to the malii beside her. "Whatcha think, Ramses? Should we go help someone with their garden?" The kitten mewed in return... Sevyrn took that as a 'yes'.

Sevyrn made her way down to the address listed on the flier, baby malii in tow - Ramses was probably going to love doing some bug killing. Back at home he seemed to get at pretty much every creepy crawlie that managed to get in to the house, so Sevyrn was in luck - she'd been out walking with the perfect creature for today... provided that these bugs weren't somehow bigger than the kitten, in which case Sevyrn herself would be noping right out of there without hesitation. As they pulled up to the garden, Sevyrn knocked on the gate and then opened it slowly, looking around.
"Why hello there," the gardener inside said with a large caterpillar grasped in his bare hand. As he made his way over towards Sevyrn he chucked a caterpillar past the gate. Okay... that wasn't so bad. Hell - if she were able to collect them rather than kill them, they'd probably make some really good ghaenelt food. "What can I do you for?"
"I uh, saw the flier down on the quest board. It seems you still need a hand?"

"Yeah - damn things have over run my vegetable patch," the man said to her, and he turned to look towards his veggies. He shook his head, obviously incredibly unimpressed with the infestation. "You here to help?"
"Yeah, I figured that I may as well - those things would probably make some good 'nelt food, mind if I load some up to take home with me?" Sevyrn wasn't even done asking when Ramses had moved farther in to the garden, and he was batting at one of the critters before she could even ask to take some back home. Whatever... it seemed he wanted to play with them. Maybe he wouldn't be as useful as Sevyrn hoped that she would be. But this was ghaenelt level food... She could handle that - and she was sure they would love the break from crickets and meat scraps.
"Do whatever you want - I just want them gone and not coming back."

Sevyrn asked if the gardener happened to have any jars that she could borrow, as she hadn't been prepared for the critters here to be a good creature food source. He was happy to hand one over as long as one way or another the two of them were able to get rid of every last caterpillar in the field. With that Sevyrn got to work, throwing the first one that she found towards Ramses hoping that he would get the hint to either kill them or eat it up, and he did - it made for a delicious juicy snack. Sevyrn wanted to gag at the mere sight, but she put her thing against bugs behind her to very gingerly pop bug after bug in to the jar.
The gardener was not surprised when she finished up the first jar... there were still many more. "You want another one?" He asked, just relieved to see that this mess was finally being dealt with,

Sevyrn finished that jar, and shook her head as she screwed a lid on to it. How many of these things were there? After getting a taste of grub Ramses had become fond of them as well - he was leaping around and catching them between his paws, eating one here or there and leaving the rest either dead or actively dying. This was a hayday for a kitten - he might have been malii rather than mosca, but he definitely had a feline's hunting instinct. Ryden would have been pleased to see that he was getting out of the house, and that Sevyrn was finally taking time to bond with him again.
At least by the time she was past the second jar the pickings were becoming slim, half way through the third she was struggling to find any more at all. She walked back towards where the gardener was and placed the jar down rather abruptly - he seemed to think that she was coming back for another. "I can't find any more, but you probably have two dozen dead and dying corpses laying around thanks to Ramses here. I hope that they don't come back."
