Was this his first time here? Aubrey couldn't really remember. He felt like he ought to remember this place if he had been here, but...
It felt a little strange to come here regardless, considering the fact that he hadn't really had time to look at the Quest Board himself lately, but he did have some 'points' left to spend from when he had done a few jobs earlier in the year... Or at least, he was pretty sure he did, anyway.
The worst they could say is no, right?
Walking in, he greeted the shopkeeper with a slightly nervous smile. "Um, I'm here to turn in some of my points for credits please," he said. He knew there were other things you could buy or do with the points, but he didn't really have use for any of them, so he figured he might as well take some extra cash.

Jolyne scanned the customer, then nodded, holding out her hand for the points card. "Sure. Hand it over." If someone didn't know better, this was sour, but she was surprisingly chipper by her usual standard.

"R-Right," Aubrey said. He had forgotten about the card. They did give one to him when he had started doing these quests, but that had been such a long time ago, and he didn't usually do anything with it... Where was his wallet? He was sure he had it here somewhere... Cold dread seized him at the possibility of having forgotten it at home somehow, after coming all this way.
When he found it, he felt so relieved that he almost fumbled it getting it out of his pocket. But then there was the task of locating the card among all his other cards... It took him a moment, but eventually he managed to produce it.
"Here," he said, presenting it to the bored-looking woman at the counter with a smile still touched by nerves. Hopefully that would be the end of it. Were there other steps to completing a purchase here...?

Jolyne swallowed a sigh. The kid wasn't trying to be obtuse, she supposed. The card was swiped through her machine, and the credits were spat out in return. Both things were handed back over to him. "Here ya go."
