Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Well, that went about as well as I could have expected. Flying creatures had a huge advantage over those that were stuck on the ground. I honestly hadn't expected to see one during this tournament, given the restrictions for entering. Igor didn't even stand a chance against the cutting wind, and his spikes did him no good when the other creature didn't even have to get near him to knock him down.
I always hoped that we would do better next time, but there weren't many battles left to squeeze a win out of. If nothing else, it would all be over soon. I began to consider my options for future tournaments. Considering everything I had seen so far, I thought Gwendolyn might be a good candidate for some battle training. I couldn't let my mind wander too much, however. I let Igor out into the arena and took my place in the stands. My opponent hadn't arrived yet, which was fine by me. I wasn't there to make friends.
[Waiting.]
