Yang walked with a bounce in her step. Coming from the gardens, she made her way along the trails that crisscrossed the city, bundled up in a dark-brown autumn coat, scarf, and tell-tale day-off-pants with their washed-out knees and frayed bottoms. Despite being a long-time resident of the Crossroads, the trips outside the office were so few-and-far-inbetween that she lost track of her where she was headed-twice! Still, the distract at being (slightly) loss didn't dampen her mood. In fact, upon spying the clay pots and tell-tale signs of a natures-shop, her mood only became more elated, vibrantly aware of her hefty coin purse of credits.
Quietly pushing the door open, she peeked inside. The store was awash in the gentle aromatics of soil, fertilizer, green vegetation and a variety of dirt. Peeking among the shelves, and checking out the plants on the table, Yang shuffled her hands absent-mindedly in her pockets. There were so many.. Things in and around the store. Maybe on a day where she wasn't pre-occupied with plans, she would take the time to browse. As it was, while she took a genuine minute to look over the plants and enjoy the serene display of fish, lazily swimming back and fourth; it was the locked cabinet of potions, however, that held her rapt attention.
Turner turned his head as he heard someone enter, putting down his watering can. Ah, a customer! They seemed very interested in his potions... "Hi there. Can I help you at all?" He wasn't pushy, but if he could assist, he would.
Yang gave a quiet 'hm?', eyes deep in the text and information that was written alongside the potions. There were a definitely a few fancy drinks in here! She stood straight as the store owner approached, finally glancing up and giving a small polite smile. "Oh hi! Yeah, that would be great- I'm looking at getting this, for my lola..." She pointed out the soft-blue filled vial, avoiding contact with the glass surface. As a proud owner of an office space filled with sleek surfaces, she knew what a pain those fingerprints could be.. "It is a drink, yeah? Or is it a uh... a lotion?" Yang squinted in thought. The soft-blue in the vial definitely came across as something a lola would drink, but hey, she'd never handled these vials before. Changing a lola into a lotine might require more steps than she knew..
"It's a drink, yes! A Potion of Lola Maturity," Turner replied with a nod. "To grow lola into lotine. They're 300 credits a piece, if you're interested!" This was an interesting looking individual, but he was as polite as ever.
"Oh, good!" Yang un-zipped her pouch, happily counting the credits out, "Definitely," her polite smile grew wide "I'm hoping to grow one today in my gardens! If it all goes good, I'll be back for more." Yang calmed down, offering the credits. "I've got a few lola now, about 5, but they're nothing too fancy, y'know? Just a few common ones," The man was nice and polite, wherein she felt comfortable with a conversation! It was a good feeling, Yang thought, to know her heft of change would go towards sustaining this particular shop. A good shop-keeper could be hard to come by!
Turner felt more at ease once the conversation was in full swing. He beamed as he went to unlock the cabinet, pulling the glass doors open and gently pulling a potion down from the shelf. "That's wonderful to hear! Nothing wrong with normal!" The credits were swapped for the potion. "I hope to see you again."
Yang gleefully, and carefully, took the potion. It was a nicely carved glass-container, with a lovely likeness of a lotine. She couldn't help give it a light swirl, watching the liquid lap inside, catching some of the stores light with a surprising shimmer. Putting it in her coat pocket, the safest place for a container to be, she re-zipped the pouch and gave a slight wave, "Of course; and thank-you! I'm sure I'll be back, sooner rather than later." She gave a 'ha!', heading on back to the front door. It had been a quick and easy exchange over-all!
Her hand cupped the vial in her pocket. She was sure it wouldn't be falling out any time soon, but the precaution was a nice cushion for her anxiety. Especially if she absent-mindedly started walking with a bounce in her step, heading back towards the gardens.
Silver: Ah! Thanks. I try.
