Endymion nods. "What a shame, humanoid hatchlings are adorable." He says, his voice belying the fact that he was just poking fun at Morgan. Morgan gives him 'a look' anyway, but continues on, leaning forward to try to read over some of the slips that were not interesting or important. "G-good, you can come with me when we take Millicent trick or treating, then." Morgan says. They skim through the slips. 'Bring my kid-' , 'help me bring my kid V-' , 'bring my cousin and myself vai-' , 'bring my-'. Anything that sounded like it was about kids, Morgan skipped over it. There were a ton of them. Was there even one on here that wasn't requesting help on Vai Min Mur?
Soon enough, they come across one, and clear their voice to read it out to their soulbond. "Help p-put up Vai Min Mur decorations." They read.

There were a few more like that, putting up Vai Min Mur Decorations. Mostly for older folks that couldn't climb ladders anymore. Morgan wasn't really the strongest person, but with Endymion's help, they were sure that they would be able to do that. The pickings were really slim this month it seemed, so Morgan was fully prepared to pick one of those, when they finally ran across a piece of paper that looked a bit different. It was off in the corner, nearly tucked beneath one of the gaudy glowing flat skeletons held together by tacks. They probably wouldn't have noticed it if not for the fervent desire to find something that didn't require taking care of someone else's kids or otherwise having to use strength that they did not really have to do a job.
Endymion watches over Morgan's shoulder as they unfold the scrap of paper. He can't read yet, but he squints anyway, to see the lettering.

Morgan unfolds the paper. It looks like it has been there for a bit. Of course, it wasn't Morgan's fault that they had waited closer to the middle of the month this time to find a quest. Beggars really couldn't be choosers. It seemed like this was the last invitation to some kind of party? Perhaps there had actually been a stack of them before. This one must be the last one, left here by accident, or perhaps by someone that looked at it, and didn't put it back in the right place. There was -always- one of those people that did that, and it drove Morgan absolutely nuts to notice it in stores. For once, one of those annoying people that didn't put stuff back could have been the thing that saved Morgan from a fate of Vai Min Mur month mishaps as a quest.
They turned towards Endymion, and began to read.

"You are invited to a-a Vai Min Mur event! There will be a C-costume party at the Mage Tower-" They skipped over the address to shorten the amount of time, "Everyone that arrives will be given a p-prize, as well as be awarded quest points. Caterers have been hired, though if you have skills t-that can make the party additionally amazing, we will be happy to possibly hire more. The party starts at s-six in the evening on October eighteenth, and ends at four in the morning on O-October nineteenth. Please attend in costume. You may bring a single beloved pet, as long as you can control it well. Anyone with a-an unruly animal will be asked to leave. Please bring your i-invite!" Morgan finishes, and then looks at the bottom, where there was of course a 'to long, did not read' line.
The human turns towards their soul bond after that. "Well, I think you need a c-costume."

Endymion did look pretty interested in the entire affair. However, he also seemed a little worried. "That is tonight, isn't it?" He asks, looking at Morgan.
"Yes, but t-that shouldn't be an issue. I already c-cleared the day for your arrival, though we shouldn't stay t-too late. Millicent gets worried if I'm not home by midnight." They said. Of course, they didn't really blame her. "We can go to the market, pick u-up something suitable for a costume party I figure, a-and then just go straight there. T-they should have food. M-most of the mages are horridly stuck up though." Morgan frowned at that, but they all turned to walk back down the street anyway. Morgan was already not entirely sure what would make a good costume for Endymion. He was rather big, even if not 'huge' by a draconic's standards.
Endymion didn't seem too worried though, more cautiously optimistic.

Morgan and Endymion have another of their amicable walks, only this time Morgan is a tad more quiet as Endymion speaks. He catches his human up on some of the things that he and Vixie have gotten up to. She was beginning to grow up, too, and Endymion urges Morgan to spend some time with her as well, before she grows up. Morgan felt a little guilty, but it wasn't just their fault that they hadn't been hanging out with her as often. Nothing had been the same after Endymion's birth. Vixie was terribly upset that Morgan somehow betrayed her by... Accidentally having a draconic spawn from their soul or something of that nature. Morgan was also a little upset about the whole ordeal.
"As soon as she starts wanting to s-spend time with me, I'll spend time w-with her." Morgan promises. "Oh, here is a good place!" They changed the subject, and just in time.

Endymion wasn't ready to let Morgan off of the hook yet, but he did let it drop for now. They were meant to be enjoying theirselves today, after all. So he simply ducks his head as he goes into the tiny market that Morgan had chosen. He was able to move in the street, but wasn't really excited to go near any of the shops. He was sort of afraid that he'd accidentally hit something with his tail and knock it over. Morgan was rich, yes, but he didn't really want to cause any undue damage by accident. It would be embarassing!
The draconic carefully follows behind his soulbond, until the human pats him on the shoulder, and points to a specific little stall with masks. Morgan enters the stall, ducking beneath a curtain, and Endymion stands in the street, feeling oddly nervous. People bustled around him, barely giving him a second glance.
He kept an eye out.

Endymion didn't like being stared at. It made him feel, well, maybe not anxious as he thought about it. More like uncomfortable, like he was weird. However, the fact that these humanoids were NOT staring at him for any longer than it took to make a furtive glance gave him some amount of true nervousness. It wasn't normal, which meant that this place wasn't normal. He didn't really want to have to fight in such close quarters. While he was having this mental crises though, Morgan was picking out costumes for their costume party at the Mage Tower without even worrying.
The fact that Morgan wasn't worrying made him feel a little better, so he tried to relax. Soon enough, Morgan brings out a bundle of items. "Here we go, Endymion. G-got us some costumes, what do you think?" Costumes was probably a stretch of the word, at best.

The one for Morgan was simply more 'traditional' scientists clothes, khaki pants, dorkier looking glasses (with swirls on them that were actually see-through), and a ridiculous looking long sleeved shirt with a turtle-neck. "Are you sure that is going to be comfortable?" Endymion asks, head tilted. Morgan shrugs. "I don't think Ih-It'll have to be very comfortable for very long." Morgan says. "B-besides, I've never worn a turtle-neck before so I f-figured it was time to nerd it up." They wink at him, but Endymion just gives a soft exasperated noise at them for the trouble.
Endymion's was simply a mask. "What is it supposed to be?" He asks, pointing a front 'paw' at it and gesturing.
"It is an oni." Morgan said, proudly. "It was the only thing that would fit your face." Indeed, it was HUGE.

The thing was probably meant to be decorative. Morgan was having a bit of a hard time holding it- it was so thick and made of a chalky material on the inside. However, there was a thick rope attached to it, and Morgan waved for Endymion to bend down so that they could try it on. It worked out fine, even though it was hard at first to get it over his lightning-shaped horns. "There we go, t-think you can deal with this for an hour or two?" Morgan asked.
Endymion nods, nearly sending the large decorative oni mask flying, but thankfully he managed to keep it on (mostly using those huge horns). Now that everything was worked out, the pair were off to the mage tower. "Lots of walking today, h-huh Endymion?" Morgan asks him, conversationally.
"It would be nice if I could fly." Endymion says, stretching a bit as they strolled.

Morgan nods. "I do pu-plan to help you with that, but it'll have to wait until another day." Morgan says to him. "I'd love for you to b-be able to make use of those huge wings of yours." They said, poking a bit of fun at them. There was a point in time in which Endymion was very sure his wings weren't ever going to grow again. How fully he would have been had the wings stayed small! No, he'd be a great flyer whenever the time came. "We should be coming u-up on it soon though." They mentioned.
"What am I supposed to do once we get there? Surely they won't have a door big enough for me." He says, sincerely doubting that.
"Oh trust m-me, some of these folks have rather large animals. T-they have a big enough door." Morgan reasons.

They got there relatively quickly after that. Darkness was just beginning to fall after the sun began the final leg of the descent that day when they stepped up to the drawbridge at the end of the moat. "Isn't this a little... medieval?" Endymion asked, after having searched for the word. He wasn't entirely sure how to put it. "P-perhaps, but I guess it makes it to where it w-would be difficult to siege." They replied.
"You would think that people wouldn't attack a mage tower anyway- magic can do damage at a distance, right?" Endymion asks. He hadn't really figured magic out, yet.
"Yup, y-you're right on that one." Morgan said. They began to walk across the drawbridge, and Endymion couldn't help but hear the creaks of his weight against it and feel a little anxious. He could swim, but the fall would still suck.

The pair makes it across the drawbridge and up to the main door. "Toldya the door would be big enough." Morgan said, playfully swatting Endymion's shoulder. He pretends to roll his eyes and look away. "The Bright Side- they might have snacks in h-here big enough for you." Something that would be big enough for a sarane aught to be big enough for him, though Endymion wasn't the most fond of bloody meat. He liked his steak at least a little seared on both sides. They walked up to the door, and Morgan tried it. When it didn't budge, the scoured the little piece of paper that was the invitation for some kind of special knock or something. Eventually, they just knocked on the door normally, and someone opened it.
Well, Morgan felt stupid for that- but ah well, they were in now. The pair walks into the mage's tower's front room.

The last time Morgan was here, they had went into the back room instead- down into the cellar or dungeon or something. That was apparently where the monster was, some kind of arcane creature that they had made and needed cleared out. They'd never really been in the foyer (and never really wanted to be, anyway) but here they were. There were all kinds of little stands everywhere, offering snacks. Morgan glances around, looking like a complete idiot, but at least everyone else appeared to be looking pretty ridiculous too. There was one guy in a sarane costume, or maybe it was two, though the back half could have simply been automated or something else of that nature.
Morgan walks over to the first thing that truly catches their interest- the Catseye's food stand. "Jackalope. D-didn't expect you to be here." Morgan said, glancing back at Endymion. "T-this is Endymion, my soul-bond." They gave a wave.

Morgan was sure, after greeting the jackalope at least, to make their social rounds around the folks that were there. It was important, being who they were, to do so. It was boring work though. Morgan could talk circles around some of the folks, and honestly they hated doing social work. It was why they were not usually the face of WELP. They were a person in the background of shots, looking over teams while appearing proud or confident or whatever Public Relations needed at the time. Otherwise, Dis was really the limelight of WELP. That was just well and fine.
After making some social rounds, Morgan returned to see Endymion practically decimating The Catseye stand's entire stock of s'mores. "Well, y-you liking those S'mores, Endymion?" Morgan says, nudging him in the side.
He nods, a bit sheepishly. "I told you t-there would be snacks in here for you." They stayed a few more hours, until eleven in the evening, and then left.
