They continued on until Kadin was getting a bit bored and the runner was looking a bit sleepy. It had a full belly and Kadin was making it walk around a lot so it was eventually going to start to slow down, of course. So Kadin had it follow him for just a little longer until he figured it looked tired enough that he would be able to practice picking it up without being in too much danger of nipped fingers. He put a hand under its belly and gave more treats. He put a hand under its leg and gave more treats. He kept giving treats as he crouched down, lifted it into his lap, and stuff treats into its face. He gave more treats when he finally stood up while holding it, too. the runner was tired but still always wanted food so it was content to be held and given treats, it seemed.

There wasn't just a single set of eyes peering between loose leaves, twiggy branches and keeping a low prowling posture; with a graceful step and sweeping tails, the pair look to one another before continuing their movement on; not on the hunt, but testing the boundaries considered a safe distance to remain 100% unseen, and the closer spaces where they could potentially be spotted. A flick of an ear here and sweep of the tail here, it doesn't take much to catch attention. Despite the inherent risk, the pair creep ever closer, more curious than hungry. Skittish, there'd be little doubt of an attack if the moment called for it..!
