It wasn't that long ago that Sevyrn had been down here with Jack, only to bring Tundra home with her. It had been a great day - T was her first (and only, as of yet) female pachee and that was a day worth remembering.
Today Tundra was at the breeding center for the second time in her life - only this time it wasn't because she was coming home. Sevyrn sat in the waiting room of the breeding center as the blue and green girl flittered around, waiting for someone to show up - there had been interest in the little lady, and Sevyrn was not the type to pass up an opportunity to bring new life home.
She just hoped that her and the expected male's owner would get along... As much as she liked keeping to herself, it was nice to make new friends - especially when it involved little pachee to bring home.

Kadin had a thing for cats. Something about them or their attitudes or SOMETHING just. Spoke to him. So it should surprise absolutely no one that when confronted with cute little plant cats he'd end up with a slowly growing hoard of them and no idea what to do about it.
That's a lie. It surprised him. And only him.
Today, he was on his way to the breeding center with a special pachee. One who was the father of a couple of his other pachee. There'd been someone looking to breed her pachee with fairy wings and, before he knew it, he found himself offering Soup and a couple of berries to see it happen. Kadin sighed as he reached the doors. Maybe Rochelle was right. He was becoming predictable.
He walked through the doors with Soup on his shoulder, eyes scanning the waiting room to see if- ah! There they must be. He walked over to the girl and her pachee, raising a hand in an awkward wave. "Hey. I'm Kadin, this is Soup. Are you waiting for us?"

Ah - someone came in by their lonesome, only one little 'chee with them. That must have been who she was waiting on, everyone else either came in with a partner or had two of their own. Sevyrn smiled as the man approached her, partially because she already found herself loving the little guy perched on his shoulder - now she wanted a shoulder pachee. Maybe she would be able yo get Tundra to do something like that one day? She probably wouldn't put any thought in to it after this, though.
"Hey! Nice to meet you, I'm Sevyrn." Sev stood up from her seat and waved back, feeling a little more comfortable being around someone unfamiliar purely on the basis that Kadin seemed to be a little awkward about it as well. Tundra noticed that her girl was walking to someone, so she had to go check the newcomers out. "This little one here is Tundra."
The pachee chattered a little, looking up towards the two. Were they new friends?

"Kadin." He replied, nodding to the girl and looking over to the pachee with a slight smile. Right, those had names, too. He gestured up to the pachee with him, "And this is Soup. Are you guys ready to go?" He finally asked, not a huge fan of the whole stand awkwardly in the lobby waiting for something to happen thing.
Soup, for his part, leaned down from where he was carefully balancing on Kadin's shoulder. He fluttered his wings at the other pachee down on the ground, staring at her curiously. He hadn't seen wings like her's before! They were pretty! He scrambled, suddenly, losing his balance as he leaned too far to get a look at the girl and her pachee. Kadin caught him easily in his arms, shifting him to carry him instead, acting as if this happened all the time.
Kadin looked down at the pachee and raised his eyebrow at it. If anything, Soup DID look a little bashful. With a shrug, Kadin turned away and gestured for Sevyrn to lead the way.

Sevyrn could appreciate that Kadin also just wanted to get a move on - she wasn't a fan of the waiting period either. Luckily she had handled the paperwork while waiting, figuring it best to just get it over with. They were free to move on instead of lingering around awkwardly.
"Yup - I handled the paperwork while I was waiting, so we're good to go." The young woman went to check with the attendent behind the desk to verify that a room was ready and which one, at which point she summoned Tundra to follow along behind her. The pachee saw the male as a new friend, and she didn't want to leave him behind.
In the end Sevyrn had to scoop the winged pachee up in to her arms, and Tundra reached out with little paws towards Soup the entire walk to the room.
Well... Pachee were friendly enough that being here was pretty painless, at least. Sevyrn put the female down to let her wander in to the room, and then held the door open for Kadin and Soup.

"Good." Kadin said, pleased that he wouldn't have to fill out a bunch of paperwork before they could even get to their room. He followed after the girl and her pachee, watching with amusement as Soup perked up in his arms, reaching out his arms back at the female as she reached for him. It was disgustingly adorable. At least they didn't have to worry about the pachee not getting along, if they were already Like This.
Kadin nodded gratefully as Sevyrn held the door open for him, walking through and letting Soup down on the ground. He immediately bounce over to the female, hoping around her in delight at the opportunity to make a new friend! He quickly scampered away, towards a pile of toys set up near the center of the room, then back over to her, inviting her to play with him!
"Well, guess we don't have to worry about them." Kadin commented, looking around for a place to sit. He grabbed a chair and relaxed not far from the door, with a good view of the room so he could still keep an eye on the pachee.

"Yeah, they're usually pretty friendly - makes things easy enough." Sevyrn hadn't been down her much before with pachee, but yeah - the friendly demeanor seemed to be a common trait amongst the species. She had no worries that these two would have any trouble getting along. As Tundra ran off to go play with her new buddy, Sevyrn got comfortable in another of the chairs.
"Do you breed pachee a lot?" She asked, simply trying to make conversation with her latest acquaintence. All the while she keot her eyes on the pair of pachee, watching them as they scampered around without a care in the world. Tundra excitedly tried to hand off a ball to the male, though it slipped out of her grasp at the last moment. She cocked her head as it rolled away, and then she took chase. That ball had been meant for her to give to Soup!

Kadin nodded along, having witnessed the same with the pachee he had back at the kennels. They were all pretty friendly, especially if he hadn't seen them for a day or so. They had a habit of trying to climb him and demand attention if he'd been away for too long. And their reaction to literally any new toy? Priceless.
"Not really," He admitted, "This is my second time here for pachee." That didn't explain all of the pachee he'd somehow acquired, but whatever. "Snowstorm was from the last visit. I had two males in that breeding." It had been a lot more to keep track of than just the one male and one female in this one!
Soup looked delighted at being offered the ball, but distressed when it started rolling away! Trying to help, he turned to the toy pile and looked for a different ball! He picked it up and tried to waddle after Tundra on only two legs, holding the ball up to offer to her. He wanted to help, too!

Sevyrn had heard that she could bring multiple males down for one breeding when it came to pachee - it wasn't something that she had ventured in to herself yet, though. Maybe at some point when she had a few more of the little creatures or a better working relationship with someone it would be a venture worth pursuing. For now? Sevyrn was happy keeping things simple.
"It's my... third? fourth?" Fourth - once she had come on her own and twice with others, the latter two breedings producing Tundra here and her half-brother. Looking at the pair it wasn't even recognizable that they shared a father. "Been here more for orbaru, but these little guys... I think I might have a new favourite." She was simply trying to make conversation.
Tundra looked back as she heard little soft footsteps coming towards her, pausing her chase of the ball - it was Soup! He had another one in his hands, offering out to her. The female nuzzled up against the side of his face and took a hold of it. She really liked this new friend!

"Ah, yeah. I've only done one orbaru breeding. I definitely prefer pachee." Kadin replied, watching the pachee run around making fools of themselves with a slight smile on his face. He didn't even realize he was smiling. If he did he'd probably stop doing it. Orbaru were fine and all, but he had always been a bit of a cat person. And pachee were basically just plant cats.
Soup was thrilled that she liked his ball! He was worried that she'd want the ball she had before instead, but she accepted his ball AND nuzzled him! He waved his tail around in joy, happily nuzzling her back. This was great! He was so happy he could come here and meet someone new! And she was so sweet and kind! He backed up a few paces, ran around in a happy circle, and made a play stance at her, daring her to throw the ball. Just watch! He'd catch it! And even if he didn't, he'd sure chase it down until he had it!
