It was only right that the second time that Sevyrn came down here with houlou, she was coming along with Jack again. It had almost felt like cheating on the other woman and their little 'business arrangement' coming here to breed pachee without her.
Today she had a different houlou with her than last time, though - Spot. He was her second fully grown houlou and a rather fun little guy with some really beautiful black spots all over him... she hadn't been very original the day she had took him home, and that had become his namesake.
Sevyrn elected to wait outside for her buddy after finishing up the paperwork so that they would be good to go as soon as Jack arrived. Hopefully they would be bringing some more gorgeous pups home - their last litter, Sevyrn's first, had all been utterly perfect and maybe it was wrong to get her hopes up, but she was expecting some really cute pups from this pairing as well.

Moonbeam trotted at her side as she walked toward the Breeding Center, looking forward to doing another breeding with her friend Sevyrn. She was happy to see what she could do, and she wondered what they were going to get from this breeding. So far every time she had bred a moon marked Houluh, a moon marked pup had happened, and she was thrilled with the chances of that happening. Her last breeding partner had gotten the moon marked pup from Moonbeam's last breeding, but that was fine, as long as it passed down she was pretty happy. Jack pushed her hair back as they rounded the corner and saw the Breeding Center in the near distance, and she waved happily when she saw Sevyrn and a rather lovely spotted Houluh standing outside. Hopefully they hadn't been waiting too terribly long, she would feel bad if they had. "Hey there! Hope we didn't make you wait too long!" the woman called with a smile.

Spot looked to Sevyrn for permission to run off as soon as he noticed the newcomers - especially the other houlou. Sevyrn nodded and waved him off, and the patronne barked towards them as he took off. He didn't bounce around or try to jump on anyone, but he was so happy to see some new faces.
"Hey!" Sevyrn returned with a grin, shaking her head. "Haven't been here long, just got the paperwork done and stepped outside to wait for you. This guy here is Spot." The guy in question was so excited to be around Jack and Moonbeam, sniffing at both of the new ladies before barking towards the matronne.
Would she want to play? If she was anything like Sweetie back home, she would want to play... but Sweetie was essentially his sister, and they had been pups together... Oh well. Spot just wanted to make a new friend.

Moonbeam barked happily and tilted her head, staying at the woman's side until she got a pat on the head and then she raced forward to meet the Patronne. She was pretty excited to meet someone new again, and she wondered if she was going to have puppies again, this looked like the same building right? Glancing back at the woman, she woofed a question and Jack nodded, yes, she would be having puppies again, and was this Patronne alright? Moonbeam beamed at the woman and licked at the male's cheek, wondering if he knew it as well. At least she was willing to play with him!
"I'm glad you haven't waited too long then!" Jack laughed, extending a hand if the other woman wanted to shake it. She then folded her arms over her chest and smiled, looking down at the two Houluh. This was going to be great. "Oh right, this is Moonbeam! Nice to meet you Spot," the woman said with a smile.

Spot had never been here before - he had been from the labs, part of the first batch of the species. Moonbeam seemed to know what was going on, though - she seemed really happy to be here. Once he got to go home with one of his first pups, he would probably be really happy to have been here as well. The patronne already made a good uncle figure to Sweetie's son, and would likely do great with one of his own as well.
Moonbeam seemed like a sweetheart, and one look at the pretty matronne's face told Sevyrn exactly where she hsd gotten her namesake. Oh, it would be really nice to get a baby with that cute little crescent moon. She'd let Jack take home Sweetie's spotted pup without a fight despite absolutely loving that little thing, so it wouldn't be wrong to ask for a moon-marked pup if they got one, right?
"Come on in," Sevyrn said as she moved for the door, holding it open for everyone. "How have you been lately?"

Licking at the Patronne's face again for a moment, Moonbeam then neatly trotted to the door, tail held high as she popped through it and waited for the woman on the other side. Jack chuckled and reached out to pat Spot's head for a moment before following and thinking about it. "Oh not too bad, I've been putting things off lately, it would seem though," she answered, making a bit of a face as she slipped through the door and then held it open for Sevyrn and Spot to come through as well, "Anything new with you?"
A smile crossed her face as she noticed Sevyrn looking at Moonbeam's namesake mark. She knew it was hard for her to let go of the moon marking, but she had no issue letting her new friend have a pup with it if they managed to get one. Honestly she was hoping they would get two of them, but if they only got one, that was fine, she wouldn't argue!

"I feel you there," Sevyrn said in agreement, she knew the feeling all too well. She'd thrown herself in to so many different things lately that nothing that needed to be done was really getting done... Well, at least she had this place. Coming down to the breeding center seemed like she was doing something productive even if it was... none of the things that needed to be done.
"Training up Jupiter still, then I need to work on Sweet and Arvest's son. Got a decent amount of work done back home at least." As they stepped inside the building and the door closed behind them Sevyrn shed her jacket off and wrapped it around her waist, revealing bandages wrapped around her lower right arm. There had been... a little bit of a mishap in the mansion, involving a spooked little ghaenelt.
She then walked towards the desk to let the attendent know that her partner was here and they were ready. It was a quiet day, so there was a room waiting for them.

"Well there you go! That's not too bad then, at least you're being productive, I'm definitely not," she laughed as she followed Sevyrn, a hand on Moonbeam's head as they walked. Moonbeam licked at her hand a little and the woman smiled, she was excited to have pups again, even though there were so many back at the Kennel who needed to be worked with and their shows done. Honestly she felt bad, so she bred more and then made herself feel even worse.
It was a vicious cycle.
Jack pushed her hair back and frowned when she saw the bandage, "Everything okay?" She wasn't going to pry too much, but if her friend wanted to talk, then she would be there for her, she knew. Whatever the case, she had some healing salve in her bag, she always had some with her since she usually trained some dangerous animals, so it was there if she needed some.

Spot hovered close to his new lady friend as they walked towards the room, happy that Sevyrn was close by so he didn't have to choose between new friend and old - it was a good day to be a houlou, it seemed, and the day was going to become even better once be became a father and got a pup of his own to dote on like Sweetie had.
"Oh - yeah," Sevyrn said. It had been a couple days now so her arm was starting to feel better, but she was pushing her own limits with it at times which... was not advisable. "Just went on a trip with one of my 'nelts, he got spooked while I was holding him and clawed me up pretty badly. I got it checked out after I got back home. They even left my diy stitches in... guess I didn't do a half-bad job." She didn't want Jack to worry, but she appreciated the woman's concern.
Once they reached a room, the four of them were left to their own business. Time to go on!

Moonbeam looked at Spot and licked at his face again with a beaming look on her face. She was excited to be here again, and the woman hadn't steered her wrong yet, so this would be perfect. She entered the room when Jack opened it for the others and sat there primly in the middle, wagging her tail from side to side as she wondered what was going to happen.
"I do have some healing salve if you'd like some," Jack offered, pulling out the little tin of it with a smile, "I carry some around with me everything, seems like I'm always getting into something. I'm glad you can do that to yourself though, stitch yourself up, it's not always fun to do but definitely necessary." She looked at her new friend with pride on her eyes, she seemed to pick some good people to be with from time to time, and she was happy about it.

"Gotta do what you got to do," Sevyrn said, shrugging it off. She had been working with creatures of all kinds since she was a kid, it was a love that her parents had instilled in her, and as such she preferred to play safe. Knowing how to look after herself or another in an emergency was an important skill to have. It had, quite honestly, been terrifying - she really had thought she'd been bleeding like she had from a gushing neck wound just because that had stung a little and shock had kept her from feeling the arm damage for a bit. Things could have definitely gone a lot worse.
She took the tin of healing salve from Jack with an appreciative smile as she walked in to the room and settled down in to a chair. "You want to know something funny?" Sevyrn asked, and then pulled her hair away from her neck. There was a little bittle scratch there, already healing amazingly. "I was in the mansion, pitch dark room. This little thing barely bled, but thanks to using the bad arm for pressure I thought he'd managed to get my jugular or something. Imagine my relief when that wasn't the case."
Sevyrn carefully shed the bandages from her arm, revealing somewhat lopsided but mostly alright stitches that were keeping the two deeper gashes down her forearm secured. It was hard to believe that a baby 'nelt had done it to her, but his sharp claws had dug as deep as they could. As she started to gingerly apply a bit of the salve, Spot made his way in to the room and checked on his girl before going over to his new friend. What would she want to do now?

"This is true," Jack agreed as she watched Sevyrn begin to administer the salve. A wince happened when she was told about the neck wound as well, but she knew she had been through bad times as well, it seemed like they both had at this point. "I'm glad he didn't get your neck too bad! That would have been horrible," the woman frowned, thinking of losing her friend. It would have been tough, and she touched her leg for a moment, gingerly, as she thought about everything she had gone through in order to get a new one entirely.
The good news was, scars meant you lived through some tough times and came out stronger for it, and she smiled.
Moonbeam woofed at Spot for a moment before going down on her front paws and wagging her tail from side to side. Did he want to chase? Or maybe play with a rope?

"Yeah, it's a good thing that I'm not always unlucky." Not always - and this was proof. She couldn't imagine what she would if something happened so bad that she couldn't care for her creatures any more - it was bad enough that she had to try to take it easy for a bit. Garden work was on hold, any intensive training was on hold. Laziness, as good as it was for her body, wasn't good for her soul right now. She just needed to be keeping busy.
"Life goes on, though. I'll be fine, scooping up a baby in each arm again in no time." Or, well, she hoped so. It had been long enough that she would probably know if it had gotten infected initially, and she knew how to look after her own wounds in the long run so everything should be fine. Sevyrn handed the tin of salve back to Jack, and then wrapped her arm back up to keep it safe. "Thank you so much, Jack. I really appreciate it."
Spot fell in to a play stance, front end low and his rear high, tail wagging away. He barked towards Moonbeam before racing off towards a pile of toys. The patronne picked a rope pull-toy off the ground and pranced back towards the lady. It seemed like he was almost taunting her with it, but the way that his tail was going made it clear he was still having a good time.

Moonbeam barked happily and charged at the Patronne, grabbing the end of the rope and hauling back. She might not be the strongest Houluh out there, but she was at least enthusiastic, that was all someone could ask of them right now wasn't it?
Jack nodded happily, "Not a problem, anything goes wrong, I probably have something for it..." While she was a little sheepish about that fact, at least she didn't hide from it. There was a time where she wasn't too fond of what she did, but she had long since embraced it with a happy enough attitude. The woman looked out at the Houluh and then motioned at them, "At least they're getting along, right? We won't have to worry about that, but even my most aggressive Houluh seem to get along in their core." She wondered if it was part of their genetics and temperament, to be easy going enough to breed.
