So, apparently, Miles was pretty well trained. Kadin had been surprised when he'd entered the contest and then won, of all things. And, apparently, winners of such contests were in relatively high demand for breedings. Kadin hadn't wanted to do it, at first. There were so many houluh out there who needed homes already. He didn't want to add to the numbers in the adoption agency, but as the offers kept pouring in, well. He couldn't help but choose one eventually.
So now they were here. Kadin, with Miles by his side, waiting for the houluh and its owner that he'd eventually selected. He still wasn't too sure about this whole thing. Wasn't it kinda awkward to go into a breeding room with some dogs to... make sure things happened? But he did the same with pachee so it couldn't be too much different. With a sign, Kadin filled out the form and waited.

Wandering toward the Breeding Center, Ladybird at her side, Jack wasn't in too much of a hurry at the moment. Sure they needed to meet up, but there had just been a general time to meet, not a specific one. That was fine, she figured, but she still picked up her step a little at the moment, wondering what they were going to do for now. What was the Patronne like anyway? Sure she had seen him at the contest, but she wasn't sure of his personality, only playing with another Houluh would show that at the moment. Jack pushed her hair back as they walked and finally entered into the Breeding Center. She was sure things would work out for them, but at the moment it was going to be alright. Eventually, looking around, she saw the man from the contest and waved, "Hey there, Kadin, long time no see huh?"

Kadin filled out the form, taking his time. It was his first time breeding houluh, after all, so he needed to make sure he filled it out correctly. As he was just finishing it up, someone walked into the breeding center and he could sense that Miles next to him was immediately on alert. Kadin looked up, too, eyeing the person and their dog who'd walked in. Oh. That's who he was here to meet, wasn't it?
"Hi Jack." He said back with a nod of acknowledgement. Miles seemed to take that as permission to bound over to the two of them, overjoyed at the idea of making new friends! With an amused smile, Kadin handed over the form and accepted their room number. "You guys good to go?" Meanwhile, Miles was bouncing on the tips of his toes for a moment before flattening himself down into a play bow, tail wagging an absurd amount behind him.

Ladybird tilted her head out of amusement at the Patronne and then pawed at him a little, still under the command of the woman for a moment. She knew she could go for the moment no matter what, but she was polite and waited until Jack chuckled, "Go on then, go play." The Matronne yipped and bounded forward, her tail wagging from side to side as well, and the woman looked pleased with herself at the Houluh's training.
"Yeah, whenever! Congratulations on winning the Salonne, by the way, you guys did a great job," she said with a smile, offering a hand to shake if he so wished to. It was the polite thing to do for the moment, and the woman smiled a little at the thought. Well, everything would be just fine, she knew, and as she looked at the two Houluh together, she wondered what the pups would look like.

Miles seemed overjoyed when Ladybird reached out a paw. He immediately bounced back up to his feet and spun around in a quick, happy circle before flopping to the ground onto his side. He reached out both paws towards her in a big stretch, acting silly and goofy to try and tempt her over to play with him! Then the woman she was with said she could! Miles quickly scrambled back to his feet, tail wagging madly as she came over to him, politely standing still so she could sniff him if she wanted to.
"Oh, thanks." Kadin said, a bit embarrassed. He rubbed at the back of his neck and shrugged, "I only entered him for the experience, it was something else entirely when he ended up winning." He gave her a slight smile back, to be friendly, and accepted her hand to shake, but then he started backing towards the door, "Well, they said it's this way."

"Right, lead the way!" she said happily, whistling to Ladybird. The Houluh was busy nuzzling up to the Patronne for a moment before leaping over him. She was trained, of course, all adult Houluh were, but she was trained not to spook, which was the best it could possibly be at the moment. After all, she was related to Luna, and the Matron of the Houluh clan didn't spook for anything. Jack smiled as the Matronne nipped at the other Houluh before bounding after her playfully, flicking her tail from side to side to get the other one coming after her.
The woman put a hand on her Houluh's head for a moment, ruffling her ears, and then looked down the hallway toward where the rooms were for now. Some people found it odd to be in the room when animals bred, she just didn't noticed it anymore, she had done so much breeding for her animals it was hard to realize what was going on sometimes.

Miles tail would probably knock a small child over from how quickly he was wagging it. She didn't just sniff him, she nuzzled him! He nuzzled her back, pleased at having made a new friend so easily. He hadn't really met any other houluh before, not other than the ones he lived with! And he loved all those houluh a lot, but it was really fun to meet someone with different smells for once!
"Sure." Kadin said with a nod, heading down the hallway to the rooms. As an afterthought, he called out, "Miles, heel!" over his shoulder. Miles yipped at Ladybird, just as playful, before trotting over to walk next to his human. They lead the way down the halls until they reached the room Kadin had been given. He opened the door, telling Miles to go through first, and kept it open for Jack and Ladybird to go in afterwards. He didn't mind bringing up the rear.

Nodding, Jack followed and then slipped into the room when Kadin held the door open for the rest of them, making sure Ladybird got inside as well. The Houluh chased after Miles as fast as she could and pawed at him again. She wanted to have some fun now that the woman said it was alright! Bouncing around a little on her front paws, she barked and then looked over at the toys, did he want to grab one or should she?
Giving a little stretch with her arms over her head, Jack plopped into a seat and smiled at her breeding partner for the day, "Any news lately?" She was at least attempting to hold a conversation, it got so awkward and hard to do if she just sat there without anyone to talk to. Hopefully he might be a little chatty today, but he seemed pretty tight lipped for some reason.

Miles bumped Ladybird with his shoulder playfully, nosing at her ear before answering her unspoken question by bounding over to the toys. He nosed around, looking for the perfect one until... there! With a yip of delight, he grabbed a rope toy that had knots ties all down his length. He trotted over to Ladybird, showing it off, before dropping down into a play bow right in front of her, inviting her to play tug with him.
Kadin shrugged, not really having much to share. "Between houluh and sarane I don't have much of a life." He admitted dryly. It seemed that every day he was working with houluh in the morning, going home and taking out sarane in the afternoon. That's not to count all the fights in the pit, the tournament going on, and all the hatchlings still stuck in his kennel, begging for attention. He didn't have much time to himself these days, not for simple things like this.

Nipping at the rope when he pulled it over to her, she tried to wrench it back with all of her strength. She loved ropes, and they often were shredded apart by her whenever the woman got her a few to play with. It was a point of irritation for the woman a little, but she still got them for her because of how much she loved them.
Jack nodded a little and rested her chin in her hands, "I know that feeling, I have too many at home and here I am breeding for another one." An eyebrow raised a little at the amusement of it all, and she knew there was nothing she would want to do aside from breed her animals. Sometimes she trained them, sometimes she just cared for them, that wasn't all that bad, was it? Shaking her head, she sat up again with the smallest of shrugs, whatever, it was fine!

Miles skid forward a little when Ladybird suddenly pulled on the rope. She was strong! He hadn't expected her to tug it away so fiercely! He playfully growled back, hunching down and bracing his weight properly this time. He tugged back on the rope, slowly stepping back to try and tug it away from here! He also shook his head, just for good measure, daring her to try and take it away from him right back!
"Hah, yeah." Kadin said with a sigh. "I don't have too many houluh, it's mostly the sarane that are fucking burying me." Not to mention, once again. Tournament. Gauntlet fights. He had so fucking many already and he was in the same boat as Jack, he was just gearing up to make more than them. He'd probably be training sarane until he was dead and gone at the rate he'd been going at so far.

Oof, he pulled hard as well! Moonbeam dug into the floor with her claws, but couldn't get a good enough purchase and went tail over head toward the Patronne. She yipped and barked in surprise but then rolled back onto her paws and trotted over to the rope to start pulling on it again. After all, she had her bragging rights to defend!
Jack groaned and rubbed her face, "I don't even want to think about my Sarane. I have so many who need worked with and run through a tournament or the gauntlet for breeding rights it's ridiculous. I'm... definitely stalling I think, by doing this." She gave a sidelong glance to Ladybird for a moment with a sigh, she wasn't sure what she should really be doing, but this wasn't it. It wasn't like she was going to change things up though, at least not right now. This was the best hobby to have when it started to get cold outside.

Miles tugged and tugged, but he wasn't expecting to actually win! He stood up suddenly, staring where Ladybird ended up on the ground. He sniffed at her, whining softly in worry, but she got right back up! His tail wagged slowly as she approached again, picking up speed when she went for the rope. He growled at her playfully, tugging and shaking his head gently from side to side. He gave another few good tugs before letting go, tail wagging harder as she got the rope toy.
Kadin actually laughed, which he hadn't expected. What Jack was talking about, being so overwhelmed with sarane, was just too fucking relatable. "I'm in the same boat. I don't have a clue how I got so damn many of them, but every where I turn there's another pair of screeching hatchlings or, even worse, one of their parents demanding some fighting time." They were exhausting him every fucking day. He spent more time avoiding them all than training, that was for sure.

That was it. Ladybird dug in her claws and hauled backwards as hard as she could. She would win this, definitely, she didn't know what else was going to happen, but this was her toy now. Narrowing her eyes playfully, her tail wagging 90 miles an hour, she hoped he would pull back, this wasn't fun if he didn't try to get it back from her.
Her eyebrows raised at the laugh, now that she hadn't expected, but that was alright! Chuckling herself, she nodded in miserable empathy, "It's a mess, but we do it to ourselves I think. Masochistic people, apparently that's us." It wasn't like she wanted to overwhelm herself, it just kind of... happened at some point and she figured doing a nice simple breeding would put her at ease. It didn't occur to her sometimes that it meant more work down the line, that was the worst of it, she knew.
