Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Well, that was one battle down. Kadin had been a bit surprised by how quickly it had gone. But then again, Chiara wasn't one to even let drakes last in a battle long against her. He supposed that hens would be at a disadvantage, too. Although, it had been a surprise to see that the other hen could breathe fire, too. She must have been strong, but Chiara's training had won out in the end. Now it was a new day and a new battle. Kadin led Chiara into the pit, hopeful that today would be another easy one, but certain that something would happen to make it more tricky. Regardless, he trusted Chiara. Even if she lost a few fights, it wouldn't be too bad. They could always go back to battling drakes again if this whole tournament thing didn't work out. Although he wasn't sure what the blow to her pride after losing to a hen would entail. Regardless, he sent her off into the pit and himself into the stands, ready for whatever came next.

Another learned thing Ridelys found out about the fighting hen. She didn't soak in the praises, or the sounds of cheering of the crowd. Stalking away out of sight into the tunnel to clean her claws and wait for the next round of hens to come against her. For the most part, if anyone owned a fighting hen, they were completely opposite of what a hen had been 'sold' to be; an easier pet who was fatter, lazier, and usually could just do the mother bear thing of showing up when the young cried to spook off the threat. Her tail wrapped around her feet easily, Georgia did the lone-cat thing and didn't allow anyone to touch her. Hissing and sneering at them until the keeper or Ridelys herself chose to leave her alone. The next round did come quickly, but Ridelys had a nightmare. Maybe it was because her choice of Georgia's potential fling, but she had nightmares of thorns and fire and flaming projectiles and such. That wouldn't mean anything right? Of course not.

Huh. Kadin was a bit confused when he saw something covered in brown scales enter the ring. It didn't take more than a moment to realize that it wasn't a drake. The head, wings, and general stature was enough for that. He supposed that he should have expected browns to be entered in the tournament. From what he'd gathered, they were by far the most common sarane out there, even if he didn't have that many of his own. Just the amount of fighting drakes the pit seemed to be able to supply, anyone could tell that browns were common.
But this one was apparently trained. Perhaps they should approach this fight with more caution than they had the last.
"Chiara, roar!" Kadin called out, watching as his hen immediately took in a deep breath. The red hen filled her lungs and let out a loud roar that seemed to shake the stands, intent on disrupting whatever plan the brown and its owner might have.
[Roar]

Georgia clearly believed the first hen to be a fluke. SH'ed fought drakes her whole life, and wasn't about to stop now. But when a bigger, leaner red HEN walked into the arena, with bigger wings and a thorny tail and such... uh. Hm. Well then. It was the smell of soot and burnt things in the air that gave her pause. Her ear flaps flattened to her head and she hissed at the creature. The other hen. And then they other one screamed at her. Ridelys remembered the prospect of fighting hens gaining ground, especially for the tournament. The red hen had the same gem on her, and the man across from the ring has a very 'trained' look. She covered her own ears to the roar. It was a shout of power; and very few could actually make it thorugh that. Deafness be damned. {I can avoid that.} she heard her partner's mocking voice in her head. -freezetag=
