Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

That last battle had been... disappointing, to say the least. Her opponent had apparently been so intimidated just by her roar that the battle had been called right after that. Chiara sneered, growling at anyone in the pit who got too close to her. She was in a foul mood for being denied the battle that she had felt was her's by rights. Now she was back here, in this pit, and supposed to face yet another opponent. What if they ended up being equally disappointing? At least that black hen had tried to set her on fire. THAT was a move she could respect from an opponent. But now, now she'd face some other hen. Maybe even another fucking brown. And who's to say this one wouldn't just disappoint her, too? Kadin patted Chiara's side as she made her was to the arena and she nearly snapped at him. He sort of pitied her next opponent in that moment. Shrugging, he made his way to the stands to see what they'd be facing next.

The last fight had gone better than their first, though probably only by the merit of their opponent being a first-tier with little to no training. It wasn't the sort of victory that left Aster feeling any sort of satisfaction, though he supposed it was always better than a loss. The points were nothing to sniff at, anyway.
He knew their luck wouldn't be holding up as soon as he saw the competition. A second-tier hen, with a non-Pit handler, who was radiating the same domineering aura as the first hen they'd gone up against. Yep, there it was. They'd be eating another loss for sure.
He had no words for Axchel, and it did feel a bit strange to leave one of Avander's kin the way he had left the Laredo in the sands back in the last tournament, but Axchel had been raised by someone else.
Best to just get this over with.

As she waited in the sands, Chiara took the opportunity to lay out, stretching her belly out across the course grains. She really did like it here, even with all the blood sunk into the ground. Just the sand alone was lovely and novel to lay and roll around in. But then her opponent made and appearance. She quickly got to her feet, tail lashing in excitement at the hen that came out. She looked strong. Or, at least, she wasn't a brown. Chiara spread her wings, hissing in excitement and threat.
Kadin watched as the two hens eyed each other, sparing a glance to the other sarane owner before calling down to Chiara, "Hey, Chiara! Go ahead and breathe fire."
She'd like that. The red hen leapt forward, fire gathering around her jaws, and she tried to get in range to let out the gout of flame at the other hen, likely looking to take her out in one hit.

Contrary to the red hen, who seemed totally at ease here until Axchel's arrival, Axchel was on edge as soon as she came in. She could probably smell the other hen in the area, so it made sense that she couldn't relax. She flared her wings and hissed as the other hen made her threat display, but Aster could tell Axchel was a little cowed despite her display.
He was sure that whatever they managed wouldn't be able to touch the other hen before she put Axchel out, but it wasn't like he could order her to just lay down and die. "Frozen spire," he called out, because he knew it was one of the commands she knew, and he had never seen it performed in person before. Avander didn't know it. Maybe it would do some decent damage if it hit, though hopes of that were slim, of course.
(Axchel uses Frozen Spire)
