"Meat eating wolf in deer's clothing. Interesting pick for a human." "Its more amusing when Bristol's mate London gives chase to the other servants. SHE is the finger eater. You can tell the gender of a repointe by the amount of size of their antlers." the crow answered as he offered another hunk of meat to the deer, who took it and stared at him. Glancing at the fox once. "I'm only going to show you once on how to put on this basic harness, So pay attention." the fox nodded as he watched a pile of foul smelling leather straps was put on the ground before him, also tied up with string. Bristol appeared to know what was going on, lifting his head and adjusting his stance so the small boy could put the straps on beneath without any trouble. Maybe it was a 'I am perfectly capable of behaving myself when I want to' but who knew. Certainly not the stranger fox. It did once turn around and look right at him. Opalescent eyes glanced him up and down, before focussing on the smell of the catnipped up kitten in his arms. Yolko gave a bit of a hiccup. 15

Hiccup! Oh no... that was the fourth cookie he'd fed the kitten... just how potent was that catnip for baby animals? The little beastie squirmed in his arms to the point of being released. Landing on all fours, Yolko found feet on uneven feeling. Huh. The slit pupils were huge right now. A little hiccup again as it ran from face to tail. His reaction exposed all his teeth briefly. Tottering forward a few steps, the tailypo walked right into the big brown. Uh, honk? Staring into a wall of well groomed brown fur, and the biggest eyes it had ever seen. Face! Rubbing its own face on the brown wall, the kitten stepped up on the wall till practically flopped on the curious and surprised muzzle of the repointe. Originally had been bowed to accept the harness over his head (mind the antlers you featherless fool), Bristol saw the tiny snit of an animal get free, but smelled... really weird. His big soft brown deer nose had cat feet stuck in it briefly as it scrambled up onto his face. A snort as the repointe pulled his head up in surprise, a rug of a tailypo clinging with teeny claws to his face. 16

"Oh dear. Come now little one. Bristol isn't fond of that now." The tack mostly assembled but not looped in place, the servant crow tried to reach for the kitten that had gotten themself on the repointe's face but the wolf in deer's clothing wasn't having that. He snapped his jaws a bit close to the youth's hand while avoiding having his head handled further. The giant harness used to pull the carriage discarded, but still had a silvery loop around his neck. "You're being stubborn Bristol, move over here." the boy tried to council the animal, but that surely didn't work. He had to avoid being sideswiped like a rooster does. Kristofor watched this with a rather deer in the headlights expression. Big animal, looked like prey, definitely not-wasn't prey. and if this 'hell of a servant' couldn't figure out how to handle Bristol, how could he?! A rather amused sounding cackle came from the rep-wait, was that from Yolko? The tailypo had climbed its way up into the nest of antlers, sliding down its back into the mess of straps. The cackling punctuated with hiccups. Great, drunk cat on the loose on a meat eating deer. The kitten hiccuped again. 17

The funny thing about a drunk cat is their lack of balance. Count in being small and squishy, and the tailypo slipped on the smooth fur. Tried to catch hold, but nothing going. HONK! The ground stopped fast, and Yolko opened its eyes after squishing em shut. Gravity had its toes dangling a few feet off the ground. Something sharp was holding onto its scruff. Pulling free of the youth's attempt of trying ot peel the cat off, Bristol clopped his cloven hooves over to the stiff fox. His ears flicked forward, paying full attention to the fox. His fur went on end, and looked at the repointe, holding his kitten by the scruff in its mouth. A few moments pass before he comes forward a step or two with extended paws to take back the kitten. Once there was a grip on the Slippery cat, the deer released the scruff and looked down his muzzle at the fox. Backing up a few steps, he put the kitten to his chest again, distracting the confused and drunk cat with his long hair. Fox and deer stared at each other for a few moments. Muster the courage. If he couldn't touch the thing, he couldn't control it, right? 18

Carefully, he reached out a paw, pads up. The repointe's ears flicked backwards, the longer groomed fur bristling briefly. His toe joints stiffened up, only to crack when clenched. Looking right at the point between the beast's eyes, the fox didn't move. His own tail fluffed out and on full display. A bit of a display against each other. Maybe its a male animal vs animalfolk thing. Until the repointe bowed its head enough to sniff the offered paw. Interesting, walkable and grippable. Granted, the hound was too damn scared to get near, since London had succeeded in notching his ear like a common beast. But the hound wore a guise, like the one who was still stubbornly attaching more tack. There was no giant pull-thing. Where was London. The opalescent eyes looked straight at the fox, and he looked back, stubborn. Scared, but stubborn. Amusing. The soft snout touched the open fingers. Smelling him, smelling the residual of catnip on the pads. Really smelling it. "Uh, do they like fish?" the fox asked in confusion as the deer nosed his fingers, seeking now. Maybe a bit needily. "I've uh... never tried offering fish. They're strict carnivores... but you are welcome to try. Bristol seems to like your smell." 19

Hm. Fishing awkwardly with one hand into his satchel, the fox produced one of the catnip cookies and placed it carefully on his extended palm before taking his other paw out of harm's biting range. His instinct didn't scream around this creature, but it was going... total confusion. Which seemed to greatly amuse the crow. He didn't show it on his face, but his eyes seemed to gleam with mirth of his plight. The repointe took the treat, and pulled back a step or two, chewing it thoughtfully. The look in Bristol's eyes had changed. Dilated. Oh...well well. Something he learned about these deer too. "Appears he does like your cat's chosen confection." the servant told him. Finally the fox retracted his paw from an offering position when the beast bumped his fingertips, making a strange noise remiscent of purring. A cackling hiccup from the tailypo... well that didn't the way he intitially thought. To avoid an accident of fingers or worse, the servant controlled the repointe's pile of smelly straps until they made it to the hill for the race. He made Kristofor go grab the sled (an all terrain object that could do both snow, grass and even cobbles). Looping up the sled was easy enough, as he showed the fox how to tie the creature up to the sled. How to yank left or right, and then convincing the unwilling fox to step onto the sled to get himself situated. And a devil may care smile as the starting fireworks pistol went off and the boy smacked Bristol on the hindquarters and the sled, with a very spooked fox wearing a Phuntom banner off his back went screaming off down the course. Needless to say, the master got his free advertising from a lot of screaming. 20 -fin!
