Renathan was very no-nonsense when he woke up one morning (on one of his lucky few days off) and saw that the sun was shining through his bedroom window in the most warm way. Finally! Spring wasn't all the way here yet, but it was coming on slow and steady. Renathan gets up, performs the chores for the day, and then realizes that he needs to decide which critter he wanted to take out on the town today. He comes across little Sprinjakk in his paddock, and decides that it would be fitting to bring a lamb with him on a walk to the quest board during the first days of spring. Sprinjakk was a little hard-headed fellow, and because of that it was a little difficult to get him to the quest board- but Renathan had a bag of carrots with him that he'd decided to bring once he decided to bring Sprinjakk.
The quest board had many quests on it this month- and one of them caught his eye; the Nature's Bounty needed help.[Renathan is using Sever Bond] - [1]

The slip was pretty quick-worded, and perhaps that was the most exciting part about it. It sounded like something that Renathan could do quickly, and perhaps he'd have more time to work on something else this month, as well? He had so few days off that he really wanted to make the best of them. "C'mon Sprinjakk." Renathan coaxes, holding a carrot out for the Murp baby. The beast lowers its little head at him, snorting and locking his legs at first, but then slowly moves forward after him. Sprinjakk wasn't used to having to work for his food, let alone follow Renathan anywhere. Renathan chuckles as they go, but it a slow-going thing. At least the sun is shining, and he could feel the warmth of it on his fur. It was still a tad chilly out whenever the wind whipped up, but they finally make it to the Nature's Bounty.

The add had been no joke; it was certainly true that the berry trees were being completely over-run with bugs. A year or so ago (perhaps more? It had been a while...) Renathan could remember that there was a year where horrible bugs had attacked almost every garden in the entire city, and these sort of reminded him of those. He now has to find a way to fix the problem. He speaks for a moment with Turner to figure out what has already been used on them. Apparently they seemed quite resistant to all of the pest sprays that had been used so far. After discussing back and forth (during which time Sprinjakk had been munching on grass out in the lawn nearby noncommittally) between the two of them, Renathan figured out a plan of attack. He was going to use a spray made from peppers in an attempt to relieve the issue from the yard. All he had to do was go get the supplies from his home.

It sure did feel like quite a bit of going back and forth, and with little Sprinjakk (as stubborn as he was!) what should have been a decent jog was daunting. Renathan ran out of carrots on the way home, and Sprinjakk practically had to be carried, with much difficulty, the rest of the way home. He was tempted to leave him there, but just when he went out to the barn to start the work on the possible solution to Turner's bug problem, the tiny black murp began following Renathan around and nosing the now-empty satchel where the carrots had been in. Renathan wasn't entirely certain if he felt like he was happy with this or not. It was distracting on one hand, but on the other, he could continue to work with the youngster. "Alrighty!" Renathan finally exclaims, getting the items together. "It is time to go back, Sprinjakk." The pair begin the trek immediately.

It didn't take him near as long to get back to the Nature's Bounty shop the second time around because little Sprinjakk was much more amenable to the idea of going with Renathan this time. Why, Renathan had no idea. The russet Mammalian waves at Turner through the window, who seemed to be busy working with a customer. Renathan goes out instead to where the berry trees were with the bugs infesting them wildly. Renathan ties Sprinjakk's lead to a post a ways away, to keep him from getting bothered by the spray. At this point, the russet mammalian begins his work. It takes two hours to get the place as sprayed as he'd like it to be, but he managed it. The bugs died on contact with the mixture, and nothing else did. Renathan used the same mixture on infestations at home due to the safety of it. After he was done, he big Turner adieu and took Sprinjakk home.
