The Cloud-Nine Cache is prefaced with a somewhat minimalistic storefront in the style of sleek cyber-cafe in only the way that only the denizens of the marvelous Labs City truly can afford. Great black metallic beams are spanned with semi-tinted and semi-mirrored glass. The cafe's sign is fashioned in shiny silver-colored metal; proudly declaring 'Cloud-Nine Cache' and then, in smaller but still legible letters beneath that- 'Cafe & Tradeshop'. The door opens with a pulling motion once a hand has been placed on the sleek metallic bar; and a tiny 'tinkle' noise from a small strand of bells on a leather strap hanging on the door sounds to alert the purveyor to your presence.
Directly in front of the front door is a black cloth and straw-woven Welcome mat, and beyond that is the first set of seating. In the main entrance is lined two long wooden tables, with several sets of wrought iron twisted seats, with soft black crushed-velvet backing and seat padding. These tables have docks for the charging of WATTS, and a small public access code for the WATT network. There are several clean disposable Menus placed on the pristine tables.
[Please Check Here for the Official Menu. Note that prices are Roleplayed Only. A Small Handful of credits is around 6 Credits for this amenity's purposes.]
Most of the offerings are various hot and cold drinks, typically coffee- as well as various versions of light finger foods. The special of the Day changes with the seasons and days of the week; among the offerings are various dishes inspired by or derived from different cultures around Pethia in Celebration of the varied populace of the Labs City.
There is a traditional bar along the left side of the Main Entrance; with matching walnut and cherry woods showing a lovely triangular pattern. The stools here match the seats in the main seating area for the Cyber Cafe portion of the shop, all twisted black metal, but these have a more traditional wooden top, in dark walnut and red-stained cherry facades. Behind this bar works one of the purveyor's assistants or the journeyman that work under him.
[There are currently three; they will be described here eventually. Please refrain from roleplaying them.]
The staff are always cordial and polite when taking orders, and generally unobtrusive with visitors; who are mostly here to take advantage of the more illustrious offerings of the Cloud-Nine Cache.
Beyond the main room, through another set of glass doors, is the main attraction of the Catseye Cache; The Rainbow Ribbon Room. Here, people can 'hang out' in an area with limited contact with Orbaru-Crossed Halfbreeds. Some of them are more interested in being touched than others, and all of them are given a chance to stay away from people if they so wish. Sometimes the space is rented out by Art Students or Writers- since the space is much more suited to quiet activities. There are more docks for WATTs here, and people can purchase treats to feed the more brave orbaru crosses that live here.
The entire room is covered in an easy-to-clean plush black carpet with a whimsical starry design. The walls are covered in rainbow-colored shelves that are made for the lighter crosses to climb on. There are various holes artfully built into the walls to allow the crosses some privacy. In the corners are large ultra-plush beanbags in the shape of clouds and stars. Various rugs are strewn about in a purposeful way; these generally are in rainbow colors. People are expected to sit on the beanbags or rugs here, and a very limited menu with foods that are generally not messy is available here.
The ceiling here is painted with a beautiful starscape of the milky-way, complete with glowing constellations here and there. It is easy to get lost in the beauty of this work; a wonderful artist must have been employed to paint it.
A single service desk is located in the back here, with staff there mostly to watch the creatures. This staff serves the limited menu for the cross area, as well as the treats for the crosses. In addition; the Prize Pool is also housed here! If conditions are met (you may fill out a form), you can earn fabulous prizes that are crafted by the resident Craftsman and the Journeymen here, as well as various popular companies.
[Check out the Prize Pool Here for information about Prizes!]
There is yet another door, beyond the area where the crosses are housed. This great walnut door opens to a small mudroom with yet another walnut door that will only open if that door is shut; and if the correct code is put in. This final room is a great workshop; where an excellent Craftsman (Renathan) runs a small metal workshop out of. This is where the prizes offered by the Cloud-Nine Cache are produced for the people that earn them! No customer gets to see this area, but it is rumored that Renathan keeps his shop extremely clean, as he ensures cleanliness for the entire premises.
Week Day Hours: -Regular Lobby Hours: 9am-6pm (serves patrons of all ages) -Rainbow-Ribbon Hours: 10am-4pm (serves patrons of all ages) -Extended Lobby Hours: 6pm-8pm (serves adults only*)
Weekend Hours: -Regular Lobby Hours: 10am-6pm (serves patrons of all ages) -Rainbow-Ribbon Hours: 10am-4pm (serves patrons of all ages) -Extended Lobby Hours: 6pm-12am (serves adults only*) -The Cloud-Nine Cache is Closed Entirely on 'Sundays'
Holidays: -Regular Lobby Hours: 2pm-6pm (serves patrons of all ages) -Rainbow-Ribbon Hours: CLOSED -Extended Lobby Hours: 6pm-10pm (serves adults only*) -The Shop Is usually sparsely decorated for the Holiday for the entire week surrounding it.
What are Extended Hours? -Extended Hours are for adult patrons, usually the ones getting off of work. Alcoholic Beverages are added to the Menu during this time, and the Lobby is the only place open. -As one can imagine, this is not a very popular service extended by the Cloud-Nine Cache, but the shop's wealthiest patron requested the service specifically. -The Cloud-Nine Cache is simply a Net Cafe or Meeting spot during this time as well, but it is the popular haunt of techies everywhere.

These can be removed are highly collectable! -The Cloud-9 base coffee brew is a Medium-Roast that is smoothly nutty with a slightly chocolatey and dark-cherry undertone. -Can be requested with any sort of typical flavoring for coffees (IE: Caramel, Peppermint, Pumpkin Spice, Chocolate, Hazelnut and more) as well as milk (murp, coconut, or almond) or cream. -Sweeteners offered include table sugar, brown sugar, sorghum syrup, maple syrup, and molasses. Whipped cream is also offered as a topping. Marshmallows can always be requested. -Cloud-9 is great with special requests, Coffee is the Cache's special focus. -Prices: -A quarter of a small handful of credits for a Black Coffee cup. +A quarter of a small handful of credits for each additional flavoring. +An eighth of a small handful of credits for added cream, milk, or sweetener per shot. -Whipped Cream or Marshmallows are Free for Request. +A quarter of a small handful of credits for an espresso shot.
Dragon's Treasure Sodas -Dragon's Treasure is a fairly popular carbonated soda that comes in collectable glass bottles. The bottles are surrounded by a clear glass tat-lung that is curled around it. -Inside the bottle is a small d20 of varying color. -Stores usually only have one flavor of Dragon's Treasure available there. Cloud-Nine Cache happens to serve the vibrant Fireworks flavor, that has a sparkly crimson, pink, and orange swirled d20 in it. -This soda has a vibrant sweet citrus flavor with a hint of something a tad spicy. -Price: A half of a small handful of credits for one bottle.
Limited Edition Superstition Peak Pop -It was thought that Superstition Peak stopped producing the mysterious Berries and Cream flavor years ago. -Apparently the demise of this Soda Flavor was heavily exaggerated. -This Limited Edition flavor is only sold at Cloud-Nine Cache, and comes in the traditional aluminum pop-top can. -This carbonated soda has a very deep flavor that is quite sweet, with hints of licorice and allspice beneath the decadent mixed tart berries and sweet cream flavor. -Price: A half of a small handful of credits for one can.
Feel the Cold Milkshakes -Milkshakes aren't the focus of the Cloud-Nine, but they are offered in a single flavor, referred to as 'Feel the Cold'. -Feel the Cold is described as very strong Vanilla-Bean, a shot of Espresso, a body of Buttercream, a little Pink Peppercorn, and just the barest hint of something very slightly aromatically musky and spicy. -The top of the milkshake is decorated in very fine ice crystals that shimmer. -The flavor is referred to by patrons as Haunting and a bit Lonely; but in a bittersweet sort of way that is somewhat addictive; like the first cold autumn wind. -Very mysterious and not the most popular offering, but it has a strong following of a few loyal customers. -This milkshake is served in a tall glass frosted with the a design that looks like a bust of a Galabex. Customers are provided with a long paper straw. Two straws available upon request. -Price: A Small Handful of Credits per glass.
Other Fine Offerings -Filtered Water can always be requested free of charge. Water is served in an ivory paper cup. -Smoothies of quite a few Fruit Flavors can be purchased. These are served in clear plastic cups. -Hot Chocolate is offered during the Fall and Winter, with plenty of marshmallows. This is served in the usual coffee cups. -Though the shop doesn't specialize in it, Iced Southern Sweet Tea is served during the Spring and Summer. These are served in clear plastic cups. -Green Tea can be purchased at any time of the year. These are served in clear plastic cups, and though they can scarcely be described as the 'best', they are certainly better than expected for a non-tea shop. -Prices: -Filtered Water is Free. -Green Tea, Sweet Tea, and Hot Chocolate are a Quarter of a Handful of credits per cup. -Smoothies are a Half of a Handful of credits per cup.
Morsel Menu:
[Hopefully Images Will be Here Eventually]
Antler & Acorn Deluxe Macarons -A pack of four incredibly smooth and light macarons that taste so delicate that it seems as if they were only gently threatened with flavoring. -There is a small following of Cloud-Nine customers that swear by the superiority of the macarons over any other offering on the menu. Said following is very polarized over which is the best flavor. -The pack comes with four perfect macarons: (1) Lavender, (1) Matcha, (1) Pumpkin Spice, and (1) Coconut. -Price: A Small Handful of Credits Antler & Acorn Indulgent Cinnamon Bun -A pack of a single huge cinnamon bun that is hot and ooey-and-gooey with ample maple and honey glaze and a delicious mixture of cinnamon and something a little exotic touted to be a secret ingredient. -Easily the most popular menu offering overall, sometimes the counter runs out of them early in the day. -Comes with a plastic disposable fork for ease of nomming. -Price: A Small Handful of Credits Antler & Acorn Exquisite S'mores Jar -A fancy mason jar filled with layers of artisan-style brown-sugar-dusted toasted marshmallows, dark chocolate, and delicious soft-bake graham crackers; all topped with the customer's choice in dipping sauce. -Served piping-hot and completely gooey, with a perfectly sized spork specifically for it. Designed to taste fresh from the bonfire without the use of an open flame. -Easily the item on the menu that is ordered the least, but this is not because it isn't good! It is easily the most rich and dense offering on the menu. -Price: A Small Handful of Credits Antler & Acorn Southern-Style Pies -A pack of two fresh-baked cross-hatched 'mini' pies specifically designed to be held in the hand. The pies are partially fried to delectable effect. -A Polarizing offering on the menu, you either love them or hate them depending on your tastes. -One of the pies is quite obviously cinnamon and dark apple filled and smells heavenly. The other pie is bursting with molten blueberry and pecan filling and is most likely the reason why these are so polarizing. -Price: A Half a Small Handful of Credits Antler & Acorn Lavish Powdered Donuts -A pack of four small powdered donuts, filled with stoutly-flavored raspberry preserves. -The Cheapest item on the menu, but still quite delicious! Some people like to dunk them into milk, which can be requested. -Sticky fingers are common results of eating these without a napkin, so small sanitizing napkins are provided. In addition, these come with an extra pot of dipping sauce. -Price: A Quarter of a Small Handful of Credits Antler & Acorn Lantern-Light Yogurt Cups -A small jar in the shape of a round lantern, with a thin black iron handle crossed across the glass jar, completely filled with a natural coconut-flavored yoghurt with delicious fresh berries and dark chocolate. -A costly item on the menu, but a favorite of certain patrons. They can still be ordered all year-around; but are most popular in February. -The insides come with a filling of delicious multi-berry preserves sweetened with Sorghum Syrup. -Price: A Small Handful of Credits Antler & Acorn Natural-Gift Bites -A pack of four decent sized no-bake-cookie-like treats. They are made up of Molasses, Oats, Carob Nib, and Pink Apples. -They are edible by people and by pets; but are much more popular for pets than people due to having a mild flavor. -The specially-designed small amount of these in one pack is fine for Herbivores or Carnivores as a treat. -Price: A Small Handful of Credits Antler & Acorn Lucky-Star Tidbits -A small pouch of soft pet treats that are shaped like five-pointed stars. Each piece is swirled in three different colors and has been made with care. -Recommended for Pets only. -Please request the herbivore or carnivore formula upon purchase. -Price: A Quarter of a Small Handful of Credits Extravagant Extras -A Small corrugated paper Pot of Dipping Sauce can be requested when ordering any Morsel. Dipping Sauces are not recommended for pets. -Available Dipping Sauces: Honey & Berries, Strawberries & Creme, Apple Cinnamon Glaze, Brown Sugar Caramel, Sweet Orange Gel, Pineapple & Coconut Cream, and the ever-polarizing Mango Habanero. -Crushed Peppermint can be added to anything on request. Comes with a beaker to mix your own drinks into if you'd like. -Comes in a wooden rack of extra-broad test-tubes with a beaker in the center of the swirled kitschy display. The beaker is repeatedly filled with a small amount of liquor to mix flavors into. -The most polarizing alcoholic beverage on the menu, and certainly the least favorite of the most wealthy patron. Very popular around Vai Min Mur or during November. -Price: Two Small Handfuls of Credits
The Black Cat in the Pumpkin Patch -A single fancily decorated mason jar filled with what looks and smells to be cream, with a heavy pumpkin-spice taste and scent. -Comes with a straw, an orange plaid ribbon, and a little black cat charm. -Very popular with a very small customer base. One can barely taste the alcohol. -Price: Two Small Handfuls of Credits
The Out of this World -A mixed drink served in a small round glass that looks like a galaxy has been poured into a cup of night sky. Served with a novelty straw that looks like a tractor beam coming out of a disk-shaped UFO. -It has an indescribable taste, with a very light alcohol afterbite. Some describe it only as 'something almost tropical, with a hint of citrus and a strong mixed berry aftertaste'. -The most popular drink on the menu. -Price: Two Small Handfuls of Credits
Spooky 'Shine -Moonshine mixed with a sparkly black spirit poured over a moon-shaped piece dry ice to create a 'foggy' effect that somehow comes out looking like a shy ghost. Comes in a high-stem goblet for added effect. -Limited to one per customer per visit due to high alcohol content. -Still a very popular drink on the menu, described as 'dark and mysterious fruitiness with a candy-like aftertaste.' The aftertaste is supplemented by the nostalgic hard candy piece served in it. -Price: Two Small Handfuls of Credits
A (Very) Old Fashioned -A single mixed drink that appears to be the same color as amber. It is served with an orange peel and brown sugar dusting; all over a piece of ice shaped like a generic dinosaur skull. -Has the sort of taste one would expect, with a nice caramelized whiskey flavor and just a hint of ginger and orange. -The most popular drink on the menu with older folks. -Price: A Small Handful of Credits
Fox Wedding Ambrosia -A full bottle of Ambrosia-Brand Spirits; this one is a Sake. It is served with a pair of delicate cups featuring a water-colored fox mask. -Delicately Fruity and Floral, flavored with anise, strawberry, and peach over a bed of distinctive wedding cake. -While Ambrosia is a popular brand, Fox Wedding is very Polarizing. -Price: Two Small Handfuls of Credits
Double Barrel Ambrosia -A full bottle of Ambrosia-Brand Spirits, this one is a Bourbon. It is served with a single glass with a traditional whiskey stone in the bottom and decorated with a regal galabex head. -A harshly-flavored drink with a distinct aftertaste of brown sugar, butterscotch, maple, and bacon with a nutty aftertaste. -Definitely picked by those that don't mind a strong alcoholic taste. -Price: Two Small Handfuls of Credits
Libation Ambrosia -A full bottle of Ambrosia-Brand Spirits, this one is a Tequila. It is served with a single glass decorated with marigolds painted along with a sugar-skull style vulticus skull design. -People that like Tequila rave about the subtle vanilla, butter, and brown sugar notes that feel like coming home- along with a spicy smoky note to lead you there. -The most popular Ambrosia offering around the times of Remembering in Autumn. -Price: Two Small Handfuls of Credits
Sure Bet Ambrosia -A full bottle of Ambrosia-Brand Spirits, this one is a Beer. It is served with a pair of small glasses decorated with a very loyal spotted hunting houluh. -Easily the cheapest item on the menu, but very popular for it. -Sure Bet is a very simple flavor, a sweet citrus with only mild hoppiness. It is described as very smooth for a beer, with very little bite. Spice it up with an optional flavor dusting for the rim of your glass! -Price: A Small Handful of Credits.
Other Fine Offerings -The Local Beer Tap is always open, usually with something tried and true or new to the area. -On New-Years Eve, Champagne is offered with an optional colorful candy packet that can be poured in it that makes a 'popping' noise. -Free dusting of Citrus Salt, Mango Salt, Ginger Grating, Crushed Peppermint, Cinnamon Sugar, or Brown Sugar available for the glass rim upon request. -Prices: -The Local Beer Tap is a Half a Handful of Credits per Glass. -New Years Champagne is a Half of a Handful of Credits for the first one, and a Handful of Credits for each afterward.
