He was confused by this whole process, honestly. Bring two animals together and they would make offspring. Not an alien idea really, but here they didn't seem to... breed the same, did they? Tilting his head, he looked at the two Orbaru in his arms, one black and green, the other blue. He wasn't sure what they would give him, but he was interested in finding out. Apparently the blue one was a 'version three' and the black and green was a 'sloth', whatever all that meant. Still, this was interesting, apparently the male would flash his tail orb when the breeding was finished, definitely something foreign to him, unfortunately. Giving a little grunt as he walked down the sidewalk, getting several stares from passers by (but really, he didn't care), he walked toward the Breeding Center where he had gone with his Lotine, Lal, earlier in the month. She had given him a lovely grey 'Lola' in return from their time there, and she seemed to enjoy his company a little bit more now, though he could just be imagining things. Bors shrugged a little, making one of the Orbaru boop in surprise and alarm. They didn't know what to make of him.

This was going to be fine, he could wrangle two little pacifistic animals, right? Being rather not keen on fights himself, he could understand where the Orbaru were coming from, which was a good thing, he figured with a slight smile, fangs protruding from his lips. They protruded up from his bottom jaw, which made it a little awkward sometimes when he was trying to be nice to people. He was so large and intimidating it was easy for people to be frightened of him, which certainly was not his intention in the least. With the two Orbaru in his arms, he continued to lope a little along the sidewalk, most people getting out of his way as he went along toward the Breeding Center, where he had gone with the Lotine the time before. Pleased with things moving along as they were, he smiled a little again and shook his head, his pink flesh gleaming in the light. Maybe he should invest in a hat at some point, but he didn't really know if that was a good thing or not, usually his fur handled most of the sunlight on him. Giving a little sigh, he realized he hadn't quite escaped the danger from the steppes.

Bors knew this breeding would be strange, considering they didn't breed in the traditional sense, or at least that's what he had been informed of when he had first gotten some of the species. The male's tail orb would glow when the breeding was successful, was this part of the 'magic' the Labs possessed? It was possible, and he frowned as he looked down at the two Orbaru in his arms. It was hard for him to understand that this was a thing, that this was possible in the world. Sure, his people had shamans, but he didn't know if he believed in magic or not. Some people seemed to possess it, though he wasn't for sure at this point, there wasn't anything that proved it to him at least, which was an issue, he supposed. Giving a little shrug, disrupting the male in his arms, he wondered if he should explore it a little on his own or not. It might be interesting to see if things could go that way, but he didn't know if that was going to be alright in the long run. Oh well, it didn't really matter, he would understand this place eventually he supposed.

He felt a little sad when people moved out of his way as he walked along with the Orbaru pair. Looking down at his large feet, he sighed a little and then looked at the two Orbaru again, taking in their colors. This would go well, wouldn't it? He tilted his head and then shook it at the same time, wondering if he was going about this all wrong. He only had one male, but he had four females, being the easier thing to breed for, he supposed. It was the opposite of those plants, the Pachee, he only had a male of those, the male being the most often bred. Bors smiled a little down at them and gave them each a little kiss on the top of their head, hoping that everything would turn out well and he would get a healthy baby out of the pairing. With any luck he would get a male, but his luck had never been all that great, considering he had been born an albino. It was the least favored in his culture, it would seem, but he didn't really know why that was. Maybe because he needed more cover than the others had at that point.

The sun on the snow had really hurt his eyes, which was part of the reason he had moved to the Labs. He knew it was the best decision, but it was hot here and he missed the frozen north sometimes. Bors just didn't know what to do, and he sighed a little as he thought about it for a bit. Well, he could always visit, he supposed, but he didn't know if that was the truth or not, the more he thought about it. He hadn't heard of anyone leaving the Labs since he had been there for a short time, but he had heard rumors it wasn't allowed. He sighed and made sure his male and female Orbaru were still fine before thinking he would just have to keep his room at the Kennels cold for a time. It was the best he could do right now, he supposed. All he needed was cold air and a thin blanket to keep himself a little protected, and he was fine. None of his animals could really handle the cold though, which was why he spent the nights alone in a room all to himself, as much as he would like to cuddle with one of his animals.

At least the sun was starting to go down right now, though it hurt his eyes a little, at least it wouldn't hurt his skin as much, for which he was grateful. The Breeding Center was looming in the distance and he picked up his pace a little, outpacing even the tallest of the unfurred. The fact that he was so tall hadn't made sense to him until he had seen someone who wasn't an Uthax. His family had warned him of it, that he would be a giant among them, but it hadn't sunk in until he had seen a Human. It was strange being so large among them, he didn't know what to make of them. The two Orbaru in his arms wriggled around for a moment before getting more comfortable in his fur, and they booped loudly, popping each other on the paws as they were carried along. He didn't know if they understood where they were headed, but it didn't really matter, he supposed with a small smile. It wasn't like they wouldn't get along since they already were so well. Pleased with his choice, the large Uthax continued on his way, humming a little to himself as he went.

There were many things he could be doing back home if he was there, and this, honestly, was one of them. His family had bred for the clan for decades, and he had been trained in all the ways you could do things. He was particularly good at wrangling stubborn animals, and he figured this would come in handy in this area as well. Perhaps he could open a breeding service and breed things for people for a small fee? Eventually he would have to make some money, and he wasn't entirely sure how that was going to happen for now. Reaching up with a single hand, the Orbaru still in his arms, he tapped his chin while he walked. It would be good, some people didn't have time to breed their own animals, and he had a good hand with some of them, so it would be easy enough for him to do it for people. Nodding, he smiled and a woman near him squeaked when he did so, but he didn't notice this time, he had a plan and this was going to be good. All he needed was to stock up on a few things and then they would be ready to go.

Maybe he would need to talk to someone before deciding fully on doing that though, gauge whether or not there was an interest for services such as those he was thinking of at the moment. It was something he was definitely interested in, however, and he wished he knew what to do in order to start it. He would need a little money to start things up, of course, so he could supply a few items, but he would ask them to supply their own items before he did so in order to get things started. There wouldn't be a large fee either, and he was sure he could manage it at some point. Smiling, he nodded and nuzzled up to the two Orbaru again, who were just now realizing just how high up off the sidewalk they were, and clung to the Uthax a little as he walked. Bors wasn't sure what he wanted out of this breeding, if anyone ever knew what they wanted, but that was fine, whatever he got would be fine, he knew with a nod and a smile. As he walked, he hoped that everything would work out for him, but he wasn't going to hold his breath too much.

If his luck held out well, maybe he would get two offspring out of this breeding, but he wasn't entirely sure that was going to happen. Giving a little shrug and starting to upset the pair of Orbaru he carried with him, he decided it wouldn't really matter, he could always breed more. But that was the issue, he supposed. If he only ever had one male, then he couldn't quite breed half siblings together, could he? He had seen where it didn't really affect Orbaru or Pachee when being bred, which was... interesting, he supposed with a little scowl. What species wasn't upset a little with inbreeding? It was weird, and he didn't really like it, he was just going to have to find another male somewhere to breed with one of his females of the species. He glanced down at the blue female and the black and green male with a slight smile, hoping that they would give him a male, but he wasn't going to be upset with a female. At least then he could start breeding with some of his other females, right? Whatever, he figured with a low chuckle, a rare noise escaping him at the moment.

While Bors wasn't sure what he would be getting out of this pairing, he was sure he would be happy with it. At least it would expand his breeding a little and open up a new gene if he was lucky, though he probably wouldn't be that lucky when he thought of it. Perhaps he could find someone who would let him borrow their males if he needed a new one in his genepool, however? He had been told about a collection that people could borrow from somewhere in the city, one official one and one not so official, he supposed. While he wanted to do this all on his own, however, he didn't enjoy inbreeding and he would be fine when it all came down to it. Maybe he would borrow some, maybe he wouldn't, but it was hard for him to decide just yet. Maybe he would have to go see the official one and then go with what they could after awhile. Tapping his chin, the two Orbaru now being held with one arm, he hoped that things would work out for him. He would have to get in good with the master of the collection, and that might prove difficult since he couldn't speak Common.

The Breeding Center was getting closer, and he hoped that everything would work out between these Orbaru. So far they were clinging to each other, and he supposed that was a good sign. Bors shrugged a little, making them boop in surprise, and he realized they would probably breed no matter what. But why didn't they breed in the Kennel by themselves? Maybe there were hormones in the air at the Breeding Center that made it possible? He frowned a little and scratched his beard, wondering what was going to happen if he experimented a little with it in his Kennel. He supposed they wouldn't breed no matter what, but he still kept them separate, just in case. He didn't want to get in trouble for illicit breeding and all that, that wouldn't do at all. Hmm, maybe he just needed to focus on what was going on right now, he thought with a little smile as he wandered up to the door of the Center. Looking up at the top of the building, he realized it wasn't really built for people like him, big and tall. He'd heard of some of the Dragon Oaks not being able to enter at least.

At least he had managed with the Lotine, so he could manage it with a couple of Orbaru, he figured, glancing down at them. This time he wouldn't necessarily need to interact with them like he had with Lal, which worked for him he supposed. Smiling, his tusks showing broadly, making people shy away from him, he opened the door, hunched down, and stepped inside. Well, that was better, he could fit in there, it was just getting through the door that was an issue. Bors stared at the ceiling for a moment before walking over to the counter and smiling pleasantly, or at least as much so as he could. It was hard for people to realize he wasn't a problem, considering how huge he was, he came off a little intimidating and all that, which wasn't his fault, but that's how people read him most of the time. "Bors breed," he mumbled to the attendant, who nodded and filled out the paperwork for him again. He was happy someone spoke Uthax but didn't chat his ear off, and that they realized since he couldn't necessarily speak Common, that meant he couldn't really read or write Common either, which was an issue he would have to address.

Maybe he would need to get a teacher who could speak Common and Uthax, it would be best if they could speak both at least, so he could ask questions. It would be the best way for him to figure out how to learn how to speak it, he suspected with a shrug as he was pointed at to wait in the waiting room for a bit so they could clean up a room. Apparently it was pretty busy in the Breeding Center this evening, or else they had a slow spell and were taking a little break. He didn't blame them for that though, if they'd been busy all day, so he nodded politely and went to sit on the floor, as the chairs in this place weren't necessarily made for people like him. Stroking his beard, he kept the two Orbaru close on their leads as he let them hop around a little bit with a smile on his face. At least they were pleasant little animals, not vicious or mean like some of them he had heard of, like Sarane. He did have a Hen, but wasn't sure he would get around to doing anything with her, it was a stressful situation.

The two Orbaru seemed relieved to be out of the Uthax's arms, and they collapsed on each other for a little bit as they tried to figure out why they were here. Blue hadn't even been here before, which was odd since she was the kind the Labs freely adopted out to newcomers to the trade. Bors kept a pink eye on them as he stroked his beard some more, thinking about Sarane. He knew he wasn't quick enough to break a male, or a tier three female, at least if he was thrown. He was big and strong and could take a hit, but he knew his limits. If he could just get a group of tier two females, however, and even a few tier ones, then he could breed tier threes and sell them for a halfway decent price, he had heard. Giving a little nod, he figured that was the best option and told himself he was going to need to train up Iva soon so they could get the fighting underway. He hated that was a thing, but it wasn't like he could do anything about it, maybe he would just have to buckle down and do some things he wasn't fond of.
