Everfields
__________________________________________________
The last smatterings of hermitly-houses and similarly smallish buildings, can just be gleaned from out here- miles past the last signposts, the ones which point civilians to the direction of shops, training spaces or neighborhoods; this way & that way..
A rapid onset of natural overgrowth overtakes the world out here- nearly swallowing the cities road, the land ahead is aswathe of tall wheats and similar grasses, flourishing for miles and miles into the distant horizon line...
The Everfields sprawl miles and miles beyond the city limits, rolling gently with the grounds' small mounds, distant, larger hills, and eventually crawling up along the slopes of the farther-yet, western mountains.
Out here, wild vegetation is abundant- from trees swelled heavy with broad, green leaves, to tiny-flowering bushes, each one nestled between the very-early smothering piles of sprouting springtime flowers. The road, leading from the city, almost looks nestled amongst all these plants, gradually looking more strangled the farther one follows it.
All alongside the paved road, hand-laid chest-high boulders do their best to mark-out the fading edges of the paved roads, the wall of nature growing thick and dense. Although its very easy to see all of these well-placed stones, they are (rather rapidly) showing signs of becoming swallowed by the grasses, the weeds, and the many more over-reaching, creeping, plants.
The other wise, rather well up-kept road of the city, carries on. A metal 'CITY LIMITS' signage, worn with time and wear (which would have been parallel to another road, veering off to the left, if it hadn't been bent at a 60-degree angle...no doubt done by something large and clumsy...), marks the last boulder placed- from there, the paved road ends, and while there are a handful of well-trekked diret paths, there's little sign out here that there've been people out here...
Veering hard off to the left, is one of these dirt-trails; another, much-newer and hand-made log-standing entranceway, marks itself with Big Bold letters:
| Everfields |
The flattened dirt trail, with a width spread wide enough to comfortably walk yourself and a pair of companions along it, leads you on towards a newer plot of developed land. Still within the Crossroads borders of safety while safely flirting with the smattering outskirts of wilderness; another wooden signpost, labels the space as 'The Park'. This trail veers to the right, leading on to a wel-tidied, area marked by more wooden posts and more rope.
The Everfields otherwise gently sprawls onward, from the entrance of the marked entrance and towards the un-seeing horizon line, dipping and rising with the gentle rolls of small mounds, distant, moderate hills, and farther still old mountain ranges which crest the horizon line. Tall, chest-height grasses of varying subspecies, fill the land in a thrush of wilderness; soft lavenders, mint greens and light yellows, all swaying together gently with the soft breezes that sweep in from the tree line.
For miles these long stalks of grass dance all along the hills and between the trees, the deeper and denser areas alight with the sounds & calls of natural animals and forgotten wildlife.
There's been word that the more dangerous creatures (as made by the labs) have been re-located by the staff of Blaq Labs, leaving the expansive fields to be free and clear for anyone to explore &allow natural wildlife to make a return!
Those few pets though, who may be sent out on a Hunt, may go farther than the miles of marked field-land, straying into true wilderness wherein they aren't nearly so safe...
Guide:
. You may bring up to 3 pets with you in a general Everfields thread
. Level & Loyalty raise at the usual rate
. Anyone can explore the fields with any pet!
. Some species can earn certificates here
. Some species can hunt here
. All die-rolls need to be in the 1-10 range!
