Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Sushi had hung on, just barely, but the second attack had come so fast and he'd lost so much blood that he went down immediately after. Ashe couldn't blame him, that was quite a hit he'd taken, but it resulted in another loss. Ashe didn't have high hopes for this battle, either, if he was being brutally honest. He walked up the steps into the stands overlooking the Pit, and the gates opened to let Sushi inside. His claws dug into the soft sand as he exploded, darting through the gates and tearing around the arena. He was ready to go! Ready to fight! It was as if he hadn't just gotten ripped apart by another drake. He was just as determined as before.
Ashe shook his head slightly, watching him. He glanced around, wondering who his opponent was. So far, no one he recognized. The only hope for Sushi would be another brown, without a charm. But what were the odds of that?

Noa figured their luck in this tournament would have to run out sooner or later, and unfortunately he was right. The red drake that had been their last opponent had clearly been someone's project at some point or another; it was better trained and also better geared than his own half-baked brown. That Dustdevil had gotten as far as he had was... maybe more indicative of the quality of entrants in general than his own training, but ah well. Rhys was here with Noa this time, and clocked the other drake's rage before Noa himself could get an eye on their opponent's condition. {Another unbroken one... You know, I forgot how loud it is when they're mad.} "Admit it. You miss their yelling," Noa said, though there wasn't much effort in the jab. Noa looked to the stands to see if he could figure out the owner of this unlucky brown. There was a dark-haired man who looked vaguely familiar... Didn't he have a giant Pliathor or something like that? Ah, the one that had given Azalea a few scars, before she had been transformed into a Pliathor herself. That might have made things interesting if he couldn't already tell the opposing brown was unbroken. As it was, Noa meandered into the stands with no sense of urgency, and waited for the fight to begin.

Notes
- Sushi cannot use Climb and will be controlled by staff
- Dustdevil can use all moves and abilities he knows
- Dustdevil goes first due to having higher Dexterity

The brown entered, and Ashe caught a gleam of the brace it wore. Those things made a creature faster; Ashe knew it well, as he used them all the time. But this meant that Sushi didn't stand a chance, and the brown was probably trained to boot, which meant this would be a fast battle. He sighed softly and leaned back. No tension, no hope, no sense of urgency on his end. He had no control over this and barely had an Equillion in the race, so to speak. He watched the man that apparently owned the drake, and noticed he had a Faeron with him. That was odd. Nearly all the time, the human came alone without other pets. If he had a pet, that meant... A familiar? Besides Jack, Ashe didn't know anyone who had a fully bonded familiar. To be honest, he was more interested in that than he was in the fight. Who was this guy? And what kind of magic did he dabble in?
Below, Sushi could contain himself no longer. He attempted to launch his attack.

Sure enough, the other drake flew into a rage pretty much immediately. Not that Dustdevil was in breathtakingly better shape himself; a broken drake's rage was only barely contained most of the time, and this scarred and grizzled brown was hardly some paragon of self control. But he had enough sense now to wait for Noa to give him some cue, even if he was also lashing his tail and mantling his wings as if he was liable to spring on the other beast at any moment now.
Times like these, Sarane Pit fights felt woefully unrefined. Noa supposed they weren't made to be fine or cerebral creatures, but what he wouldn't have given for a more cunning or guileful individual...
{If you don't let him go soon, he's probably going to snap anyway,} Rhys said. That would have been interesting to see... But no, it was best to win this if they could.
"Rend," Noa said. At this point any command felt like a formality at best, since there was only really one thing Dusrdevil had to offer than wasn't his roar, but he had taken the pains to train the old beast into following his signals like this, after all...

Calculations
Dustdevil uses Rend! Dustdevil's Dexterity of 5 + 2 rolled by staff = 7 vs. the 4 Dexterity of Sushi Dustdevil will deal the most damage possible! Dustdevil's Strength of 7 + 6 damage of Rend = 13 damage 13 - 5 Resistance of Sushi = 8 Sushi's Stamina is now -1
Sushi tried to get a hit in, but Dustdevil is too quick. The other Brown goes down quickly and the Pit crew rush to tend to him.
Results Dustdevil gains 2 levels and Noa gains 5 pit prize points Sushi gains 1 level and Ashe gains 3 pit prize points
