Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Belial had tried his best, but Nerius wasn't surprised that he ended up loosing to the higher tier drake. Tier twos weren't really any more impressive than tier ones, despite their spikier horns, but tier threes were a different beast. He was fairly sure that was the last of the higher tier drakes, this tournament hadn't exactly had the most impressive turnout. At least in regards to quality, there had been quite a few entrants, and there had been a few more rounds than typical.
This was the last one though, and Nerius was hardly sad to see it end. With an unbroken drake he was just in it for the rewards, and the fights weren't all that interesting when he couldn't command the beast. Or have any real investment in the drake winning. Still, he showed up on time, and the sands were empty as Belial was released, prowling around as he waited for his foe

So this was the last fight of the Sarane tournament... It had gone by pretty quickly, considering the number of entrants. And the number of entrants had in itself been a bit of a surprise, though the thing that had surprised Noa the most, in retrospect, was how easily they had won against the majority of them. Noa was expecting Dustdevil to win maybe half his fights, but so far they had only lost the once. If Noa didn't have so many other beasts to work with, he might have considered investing a little more in the old drake. But as it was, well... At least he wasn't having his tail handed to him all the time. That had to count for something, right? Noa had woken up late, the battle coming almost as an afterthought. He had only made it here on time with Rhys's prompting. Dustdevil went into the Pit easy now that he was winning most of his fights, though he hissed with sharp displeasure to find another drake already there. {Oh, they have a bracelet too,} Rhys pointed out. But the other drake didn't look as if he was broken, so Noa figured this wouldn't take very long either.

Since they were the last ones to arrive, the signal for the fight to start came not long after Noa had made his way up to the stands. Noa was glad of it; the wait was always the worst part. And with his opponent already here, he didn't have to wonder if there would be a fight to be had at all - though there was always the possibility of a forfeit even then.
Still, it seemed that Dustdevil would have room to sate his bloodlust this time around. The brown drake's tail lashed, and a rumble crept its way into the hiss, but no - Noa didn't think they would need to roar at this one. Unbroken almost always meant untrained, and it would be faster to cut right to the chase.
"Rend," Noa said. It was like pulling the pin on a grenade, or maybe letting the feral beast slip the collar at last. Dustdevil bellowed a challenge anyway, then launched himself at the other drake, claws lashing. Rhys curled his tail a little tighter around Noa's neck, not tight enough to hurt, but the pressure was a reminder of the Faeron's presence.
Apparently even broken, their anger was still loud.

Their opponent wasn't as timely as Nerius had been, but he couldn't judge. He'd barely made it to one of his earlier fights on time, and, well, if the other handler wasn't terribly invested in their drake either, that was a familiar feeling. And considering their foe was yet another brown, Nerius had to wonder if that was the case. Looking at the brown with only mild interest, he spotted a bracelet, but nothing else particularly remarkable about the brown.
It wasn't quite as wild as some were, and it might have been broken? It was hard to tell, until the other handler gave a command. The distance was too far for Nerius to make it out, but it didn't really matter. If there was a command, it meant the drake was broken, and Belial had little chance at that point. That wouldn't have discouraged the drake even if he'd understood, and Belial snarled back at the other brown, moving to strike.

Calculations
Dustdevil uses Rend! Dustdevil's Dexterity of 5 + 3 rolled by staff = 8 vs. the 5 Dexterity of Belial Dustdevil will deal the most damage possible! Dustdevil's Strength of 7 + 6 damage of Rend = 13 damage 13 - 5 Resistance of Belial = 8 Belial's Stamina is now -1
Though the other Brown tried, Dustdevil is victorious and the Pit crew rush to tend to him
Results Dustdevil gains 2 levels and Noa gains 5 pit prize points Belial gains 1 level and Nerius gains 3 pit prize points
