You really couldn't have too many pachee. At least, that was Nerius' thought in returning to the breeding center with more pachees only a few days since his last trip. 'Pachees', plural, because even though he wasn't doing this breeding alone, they were each bringing two, because pachee orgies were apparently a thing. And, no, he was not going to be able to think of it as anything else this entire trip, even if it was just pollen.
He knew the other person this time, at least, he'd met up with Jack a few times before. Of course, those meetings tended to result in his brain being fried by the sheer amount of magical energy she carried on her person, but it hadn't been as bad with the orbaru as it had the first time with a pachee pair. It was unpleasant, but repeated exposure to magical energy slowly acclimated him.
Besides, not a whole lot of people would be up for breeding quite so many pachees at one time. Four was a lot, but the lineup they had made for very pretty potential babies, and he'd been wanting to try a multi-male breeding for a while. Two of the males where his, and Nerius set their carriers next to a table, starting on the paperwork while he waited for Jack.

Jack glanced down at the two Pachee she was bringing with her, the male and the female. Nerius was providing the other two males for the breeding, and she grinned a little as she thought about it a little bit. This was the second three male breeding she had done, though the other had been with Fiera hadn't it? It sounded right at least, and she shook her head as the two of them followed her on their leashes. They had both been bred, though they were going to be a little intimidated this time she was sure, but that was going to be fine.
Glancing up at the Breeding Center, she smiled and then pushed open the door, ushering the two Pachee into the building as she went over to the counter and leaned against it, peering at the paperwork Nerius was doing. "Hey there! Sorry if we made you wait," she said cheerfully as she reached out to take the stuff she was going to have to fill out for her two. It was going to be great, though she needed to worry about her nodes a little at this point. The poor guy tended to get knocked over when they were together it would seem.

The paperwork took longer with four pachees than it did for two, but at least he was only responsible for his own pachee's information. Nerius had made it a good way through the information when the sudden spike of magical energy announced that Jack was here. Yep, still hit like a thundergug to the face. He jerked a little, more of a stiff flinch, tilting his head a little as he attempted to force down any physical response before Jack actually entered the building. He managed to smooth out his expression before she actually reached the table, but there was no telling if she'd seen his reaction.
"It's fine," Nerius assured her, and smiled a pointy expression, but not an unfriendly one, "Gave me time to start on the paperwork. There's more with four, it seems." She'd found the ones she needed to fill out, and it likely wouldn't take too long with him having already filled out the bulk of the forms.
"These are you pair?" he asked, looking to the two pachee she'd brought, and not in carriers at that. "I'm surprised they're agreeable to being walked." Nerius gave his own rustling carriers the side eye, he wouldn't have wanted to try to herd them here. He could have, but it would have taken much longer. Maybe Jack's liked their walkies better.

"Yeah," Jack said with a smile as she looked down at them for a moment. It was good to have more than one sometimes, though it was going to take this breeding much longer to do this than a normal one she figured, but she had to have a partner for this, and so did Nerius. That was the issue of having more than two males for a breeding she figured with a low chuckle. "I make all of them walk, hence the leashes. I figure if they're out and about, might as well make them do the work, you know?" she grinned as she finished up her paperwork and slid it across the counter.
A small sigh escaped her and she rubbed her head before patting her two Pachee on their heads as well, she couldn't wait to see what they were going to give them, and she knew it was going to work well no matter what. "I hope we get some good ones, from what I can see of your two they're going to be great!" the woman beamed a little, always trying to be as cheerful as she could. It was to try and cheer up other people a little as well, and she knew it could get annoying, however.

Nerius let out a short bit of laughter at that, "If I had mine walk, they'd be making more work for me." Sure it wasn't anything like wrangling an unbroken drake, but having to herd a pair of pachee that alternated between curious and skittish would make the trip take twice as long.
"Thank you, yours are very pretty as well," He turned in his own portion of the paperwork, before agreeing, "As do I, they're an elegant lineup, I can't imagine they'd produce anything unappealing." He'd expected it to be more difficult to find a quartet of pachees with a good balance of complementary but varied looks, but these four fit the bill.
The woman's cheerfulness wasn't annoying per say, but with the oncoming magical headache, it would probably be a bit.. much by the time they were done here. It was fine now, but that probably wouldn't last.
The pachees were starting to get impatient in their carriers, especially Nebula, who was scurrying around in there. Arcana was a bit calmer, but he was very interested in trying to look out of holes. Fortunately they didn't have long to wait, it wasn't too busy and the front desk processed the paperwork quickly. "It sounds like our room is ready."

Giving a nod, Jack patted her two Pachee on their heads and then motioned for Nerius to take the lead, "After you then!" She was excited about the outcome of the breeding, but it wasn't going to happen unless she got this going, she had to be proactive as well, and it was something that she was going to have to remember. Dreampop and Aeolus padded after her as they headed, and then woman made sure to double check she had all the berries they needed for this breeding as well in her bag. It wouldn't do to forget them after all.
"How've you been lately? Am I giving you another headache...?" the woman chewed her lip as she eyed the man, he had a small pinched look in his eyes, something she knew well enough to know he was probably getting a headache, and she thought it might be her. They had met when she had made him pass out by the amount of nodes on her and she was simply passing by, so this was going to be worse being so close together the whole time. Maybe she needed to find a way to line her pouch so people couldn't feel it quite as well.

It was, perhaps, ironic that Jack asked how he'd been, because as Nerius walked to their room, he was limping a bit. Nothing too bad, but noticeable if one payed attention. He hadn't really intended on mentioning it, but when someone asked how you were doing while you were obviously limping, he couldn't just say everything had been perfect.
"Well enough, other than a.. misadventure in the Mines." That whole trip had been one mess after another. "Worth it for the crystals though." While Jack didn't have any injuries that he'd noticed, it was still polite to ask, "What about you?"
The two pachees in the crates had been wiggly before, but at least the sudden movement of walking had startled them into staying still, at least for the moment. It made it much easier to carry them, and the stillness didn't need to last long, just until they reached the breeding room and the pachees could be let out.
The question about a headache wasn't exactly unexpected, whether or not he had managed to keep his face fully neutral, he'd met up with Jack enough for her to know the effect strong sources of magic had on him. Indeed, the sheer force of magic was already causing a headache to settle in. "Yes," he admitted, "But it's manageable."

A wince escaped her, she knew how that went, she'd had a few run ins in the mines after all herself. It was something that couldn't really be overlooked, but she would do her best, she figured with a small smile. Jack nodded and followed him with her two Pachee behind her on their leashes. She eyed his small limp and wondered if she could really do anything for him, she had a few salves and she could heal thanks to one of her nodes, and she briefly touched her pouch as they went.
Would it be rude to offer? She didn't really know, but she frowned as she thought about it, she needed to offer at least, right? "You know, I've got a few things I could give you, I think it might help? The salve eases the pain of headaches and I could heal you through magic if you didn't think that would hurt too badly?" Jack finally offered, glancing at the door to the room when they reached it. She didn't know what he would say, but at least it was an offer and she couldn't think of too much more to do at the moment. Hopefully it would be alright for her to offer.

He noticed the wince, and was prompted to ask, "Had your own mine misadventures in the past?" It would make sense, with as many nodes as Jack had, there was a good chance she'd found at least some of the required crystals down in the mines herself.
Nerius blinked in surprise at the offer, partially because he was used to just dealing with pain when it occurred, and partially from the concern shown. Still, he considered the offer, "The leg is nearly healed, see?" he'd set the carriers down to open the door, which caused the pachee within to freeze in surprise, and paused to tug up the end of a pant leg. The purpley pink marks of a mostly healed injury stood out against his silvery skin, a large bite mark on his calf. "Also, I suspect actively casting a spell will worsen the headache."
With his hands free, he opened the door, though paused to allow Jack to herd her own pachee inside first. The headache wasn't that bad yet, not something that would be pleasant to deal with through the entire breeding. "The salve would be appreciated once the headache gets worse, it's still tolerable." Of course, he was forgetting that what he considered a 'manageable level of pain' was often something that would cause most people to be passed out on the floor.

"A few," she said dryly, a smirk on her face. She didn't regret her adventures, just... wished they didn't happen so often, she figured with a small chuckle. Jack shook her head and ushered the two Pachee into the room when Nerius opened the door. Glancing down at the wound on his leg, she nodded, it did look like he was nearly healed, which was a good thing she figured with a small smile. It was fine in the long run, he was probably a lot more hardy than she gave him credit for.
The two Pachee ran into the room and rolled around for a bit before glancing back at the two of them and the carriers, tilting their heads as they waited. "Just say the word, I can give you a whole tin if you'd like, to use when you need?" she offered, "Of course I could also teach you how to make it in the future as well if it does in fact work for you." It was an offer she didn't give too lightly, but she was happy to do it no matter what the consequences. If she felt that she shouldn't share her knowledge, she wouldn't be an Understudy would she?

Once Jack and her pachees had passed through the door, Nerius picked up the carriers and followed. Once in the room, he set down the carriers, and after securing the door, opened the carriers. Both the males were unsure of what to do after all the sudden stops and starts of movement, and didn't immediately leave the crates. They peered out, cautious but curious, both noticing the other pachees.
If Jack's offer before had been a surprise, her further offers were even more so. "That is very generous, thank you," good quality medical salves weren't the cheapest thing to come by, not out of his budget, but enough that it was something most people wouldn't just give away.
And the surprises just kept coming. "I.. ah.." Nerius was rather baffled by the sheer amount of helpful offers, and fumbled through a response. "Thank you?" He would have liked to blame it on the magical headache, but he really just wasn't used to people being this generous. He did his best to form a more coherent reply, "Really, I would like that." It had been unexpectedly difficult to find much on herbalist around the Labs, maybe people were used to using the Temple healing.
Part of him couldn't help but be suspicious of the offers, it wasn't that he distrusted Jack specifically, she'd been nothing but helpful and friendly, but people weren't this nice without a catch, right?

Aeolus and Dreampop hopped around, trying to explore a little as they tried to decide what to do, a little pollen already flurrying in the air. When the carriers were set down, they bolted toward them, though not fast enough to startle the occupants, hopefully, and peered inside, beaming with their eyes and trying to give a hint of friendship and affection.
Glancing over at him, she was surprised to see his expression and gave a little chuckle, "No worries, I like helping people." She settled into a chair and folded her ankles out in front of her, wondering what else they could do for the moment. A Pachee breeding with three males seemed to take awhile she knew, and it was likely they would have to wait some time for this to be finished. "Anyway, anything you've been working on lately?" Jack asked, tilting her head a little as she looked up at him. It was an innocent enough question, coming from her, she didn't mean anything by it but she was sure that some people might take it wrong. That was fine, she knew, and she just hoped she would be able to convey some peace from what she was saying.

While Nebula had noticed the other 'chee, he hadn't been paying a whole lot of attention, and when the other two suddenly scurried up, he jumped a little at seeing another pachee suddenly in front of him. After a second though, he realized it was another 'chee, he relaxed, and hopped forward, giving his tail a friendly wiggle as he exited the carrier.
Arcana had been a bit more aware of his surroundings, and had noticed the other two pachee get close. He was a little hesitant at first, but after Nebula had exited the other carrier, he slowly poked his head out of his own carrier, rustling his leaves in greeting.
"I.. see?" it was not the most eloquent response, but Nerius could see that his awkwardness with the whole situation had been noticed, and it only made him more flustered. He took a seat as well, taking advantage of the pause in conversation to try to form more coherent replies.
Thankfully, Jack's next question was something much more simple to answer. "I've been spending a lot of time in the mines looking for crystals. Other than that I recently relocated my plant creatures to a garden on my property." Some of them has been easier to wrangle than others, but it had been worth it. "What about you?"

Ah, here they were, coming on out! They both hopped around, flapping their little wings as well as they could, though they couldn't fly, their leaves were still flapping around a little bit. Dreampop couldn't wait to see what was going to happen, and she looked happily at Aeolus as some of his pollen was knocked free due to his jumping around.
Jack frowned a little and then groaned, "Houluh, lots and lots of Houluh..." She shook her head and put her face in her hands for a few moments before slicking back her hair and smiling a little, "Don't get me wrong, I love them, but man I wish I wasn't as obsessed with them as I appear to be." Maybe this was a good thing, she had plenty to do, but she wanted to grow some of her fossils and Alurook as well, which was going to work out no matter what she did. Sighing, the woman leaned back again and smiled a little at her friend, "Been trying to find some chaos crystals as well, actually. I only have one so far, and since I need nine, well, it's going to take a little bit of time to get this done I bet. Which ones are you after?"
