Maybe she should have brought another animal along with Bigfoot, that wouldn’t be a horrible idea at this point, but she didn’t know if she had the energy to watch two of them at this point at the same time. Jack was just done, more than done really, and she wished there was something else she could do, but there was nothing and she hoped she could figure it out eventually. Who else would she have brought though? That was the thing that bothered her a little, she didn’t know who would mesh well with the little fossil. Definitely not a Sarane hatchling, but maybe a Houluh pup would be the right size, they were roughly the same size weren’t they? She chuckled as she held onto the fossil, wondering what would happen if she introduced him to one, though she was sure he had already seen one before at the Kennel.

Bigfoot was finally starting to stir and she put him on the ground of the gardens again as she looked out over the pond. The sun was starting to go down, making the air a little cooler than it had been during the day. That was fine, they wouldn’t be here too much longer, they were almost to where he could eat his protein and they would call it good. That would be soon enough, though it felt like it was going to be forever away as well. Jack shook her head and wondered what to do for a little while, hoping that she wasn’t going to lose it completely over what she was doing raising the fossil. She just hoped that everything was going to be fine when it was all said and done, but there was no way to guarantee that. Oh well, she just hoped that she wouldn’t be disappointed with Bigfoot’s evolution, but she doubted she would be.

It was going to be really nice to see what he looked like all grown up, and she wished he would hurry up and do so before she got really bored with everything. This was the hard part about socializing an animal who needed a lot of it before the end of it all came. Frowning, she poked him a little when his head popped up, and he squeaked a a bit as he tumbled over. Jack laughed, at least he was trying to be funny, that was few and far between at this point, though she didn’t much care for anything right now when it was all said and done, she just wanted this to be over with. There was just a little bit more time and then they would be done, she could feel it. Already there was a connection trying to form, and every now and then she could feel something from him. It was interesting, definitely.

She knew something was going to happen soon, she could feel it, kind of how she could feel crystals and nodes nearby. Her eyes lit up a little as she looked down at him, the rest of the garden forgotten for a little while. It was almost time, just a little while longer and they could make it to the museum. That was the best part of all of this, she figured with a little smirk on her face, and she hoped that everything was going to be alright in the long run. All she knew was, things would be fine, and as she looked at Bigfoot, she knew he was a little nervous, but he was going to be fine as well. The connection wasn’t there just yet, but that was alright, the beginning stages were being set, and she knew it was only a matter of time before everything was aligned correctly for them.

He was as excited as she was when she stood up and brushed herself off. Everything was going to be great, and she couldn’t wait to see what he would be like when he evolved at the museum. Not everyone could do this, this was indeed a marathon, but when she put her mind to something, she did it, and she didn’t let it go ever. Smirking a bit, she hoped that everything was going to go alright in the long run, and part of her wanted to make sure she never went away from that mentality. For the moment though, she really needed to focus on Bigfoot and getting him grown, it was something she had looked forward to for a long time. It wasn’t time for him to eat his protein yet, which was a shame, but for now things would be alright. What could they really do for things right now anyway?

It was almost time to go though, it was starting to really get dark out and while she could see some of her animals who glowed, it was hard to tell where Bigfoot was sometimes, as bright as he was. Pushing a hand through her hair, she then leaned over to pick him up and put him in her bag, to much protest at this point. Oh well, he needed to stay with her, she knew, and she got everything ready before slowly moving toward the entrance to the gardens. While she didn’t know what to do right now, she was sure that everything was going to be fine in the long run. Sure she probably wouldn’t be able to take him mining again, but who needed another miner when she had Goran? A grin crossed her face when she thought of her gargoyle, and wondered how many people had found one?

All she could do was cross her fingers and hope that he turned out well. Maybe he would darken up a bit too. Hopefully he would darken up a bit at least. Chewing on her lip a little, she reached the gate of the garden and reached out to touch it before pulling back again. She felt bad, neglecting the rest of her animals for so long, though she wasn’t sure how long it had been anymore. Still, she turned and looked at the lovely garden, it wasn’t overgrown this time, though there was plenty to harvest, and she hoped that everything would be fine the next day when she came back. Whatever, it was going to be alright in the long run, she knew, but Bigfoot… She felt her stomach churn a little and she patted him on the head as he looked at her, concerned. Of course she was fine, but that wasn’t really the point of it all was it?

The world was crazy right now, but she tried not to get caught up in it too much. She looked at Bigfoot some more and frowned a little, she couldn’t get away from the world sometimes though, that was the hard part. Maybe this was part of it, maybe this was the way she escaped. A sigh escaped her then, and she wondered what was going to happen to her if she just… stopped. What would happen to all of them? Her frown was still evident when she reached out for the gate again, not sure what to expect from anything, but happy to have what she could at this point. All Jack knew was, she had to do something with Bigfoot, and that was it. There wasn’t anything else to worry about right now, she just had to keep going and hope for the best. It was almost time, she could feel it.

Now was as good of a time as any, she figured as Bigfoot made a few noises in the bag she carried. The woman gently touched her node pouch and then opened up the gate, ready for things to happen. She ripped open the bag of protein and started to feed it to him as they walked out of the gardens and down the street. Truth be told, she was glad she hadn’t found anything in the gardens today, everything would be there when she got back to them tomorrow, and she hoped there would be plenty to find for now. Right now though, Bigfoot was the most important, and she gave him a fond little smile as she looked down at him eating the protein in the little pouch she had for him. He would be great, she knew that much, she just wished she had trained him a little more.

[Crystal: Hardy - 1]
It had been some time since she had been to the gardens, and she wondered if she was doing the wrong thing by training here. She wanted to enter Crystal into the tournament coming up, and of course she hadn't been working with her anytime lately, so she was rushed to get this going. Chewing her lip, she led the Equillion deep into the garden to where she had a miniature training area, though it was surrounded by plants. Kro was here too, she summoned him once they got there, and she wondered what was going to happen. The sweet Pure shied away from the Thundergug, and she hoped that wasn't going to be a theme here with everything. Jack patted her on the side as she tied the Ribbon around her hoof and wondered if this was a bad idea or a good idea. She would figure it out though, she was sure of it.

[Crystal: Hardy - 2]
Jack quieted the Equillion as her nostrils flared and she stomped on the ground whenever she saw the Thundergug grazing peacefully in the gardens. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she wasn't happy about it. Jack just wondered if things were going to go well for them or not. Chewing her lip a little, she hoped that everything was going well, and she wondered if this was going the wrong direction or not. Giving a little smile, she stroked Crystal's mane and cooed to her a little as she attempted to get over her fear of the massive Gug. It wasn't easy, but she knew she could get it eventually, she just really had to hope that everything would turn out well, or else this whole tournament idea was going to be a bust. Jack smiled at her again and patted her neck as Crystal stamped on the ground and snorted, unsure of what was happening.

Kro glanced over at them and the alarmed Equillion spooked for a moment, but Jack kept hold of her as best as she could and tried to calm her down, cooing to her and stroking her neck. Crystal shook her head and snorted again before peaking around the woman and eyeing the massive Thundergug. She wasn't sure what to expect from them, but it would be interesting to see what was going to happen no matter what. All she needed to do was get used to the Gug, at least that's what the woman was telling her through the Ribbon, but it was big and scary and she didn't see that happening anytime soon. Snorting again, she pawed at the ground and hoped that things would work out, could she get over this fear or not? Slowly, she moved forward a little and eyed him, eyes widened as she saw just how big he was from a bit closer.

[Crystal: Hardy - 4]
The woman coaxed the nervous Equillion a little closer to Kro, watching as she spooked a little, dancing from side to side, but following her at the same time. There was a small level of trust there, and she knew it was going to be alright in the end, but she hoped that everything would go well until the end was closer. Jack chewed on her lip and then cooed at the Pure, hoping she was going to get this over with soon enough. All she could do was hope for things to turn out well, and she smiled a little as she stroked Crystal's mane a little bit, calming her down. Crystal sniffed at some of the grass, though her eyes were still on Kro, and she took a small bite, as though to prove to herself she wasn't completely terrified of the massive Gug. It was going to be hard, but Jack knew she could do it.

[Crystal: Hardy - 5]
It was easy to see that the Equillion was having problems, Pures were pretty easy to spook, or so she thought. Moon wasn't all that easily spooked at least, or at least she hadn't been a long time ago, things did tend to change. Jack sighed a bit and leaned against Crystal, stroking some of the feathers on her closest wing. She didn't know what to do with her animals sometimes, but she knew she wanted to keep the ones she had, at least for now. As she thought about it, she hoped that Crystal would get used to Kro pretty quickly at least, she wanted to teach her to fly and then get her to the Gym for a little training after a bit. A laugh escaped her and Crystal jumped a bit, but then she realized it hadn't been Kro who had done it and she easily began grazing again, though keeping a single eye on the Gug for now, not venturing any closer.
