Not only are they wonderful guardians of their owners, with their ability to claw at their enemies, pierce flesh with their horns, or even breathe fire - but they can speak as well!

Half-breed: Malion Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 40 mph Power Levels: 3 Special Requirements: None Notes: Traditional Land (quad) Riding to ride. Stamina: 3 Strength: 3 Resistance: 2 Dexterity: 3 Mentality: 4 Special Abilities: Shadow Immunity, Intimidation Moves: Buck, Breath Fire, Horn-Strike, Heal Size Chart Reference: 5 Strong, Fairly agile, and magical.. what more could you want? Sadly, their wings (though they have many) do not allow them to fly - but they do "vibrate" when irritated. These creatures are beasts of both shadow and life. They can breath fire upon their foes, or heal loved ones (using their magical, yet twisted horn) who have gained their blessings. Beware however, of their razor-sharp hooves - they do have a nasty kick to them.

Half-breed: Sachee Cunning: 5 Sentient Average Top Speed: 30 mph (Flying) Power Levels: 2 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 2 Strength: 0 Resistance: 0 Dexterity: 3 Mentality: 5 Special Abilities: Float, Shadow Immunity, Ethereal Moves: Shadow Strike, Howl Size Chart Reference: 4 Creatures of no doubt constant torture - trapped between the Ethereal, and Physical, these spirit's of pain and everlasting life are twisted shadows of what their parent's were, and could be. They lack wings - but can somehow stay off the ground, and in fact, seem unable to touch it. Unable to speak like the Haraichu, they instead wail, scream, and howl... These screeches often are then followed by the creature lashing out at anyone nearby - causing great suffering.

Half-breed: Tat-Tine Cunning: 5 Sentient Average Top Speed: 20 mph, 50 (Swimming), 50 (Flying) Power Levels: 4 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 4 Strength: 3 Resistance: 3 Dexterity: 5 Mentality: 5 Special Abilities: Swim, Fly, Loosen Fur, Danger Sense Moves: Deceptive Lure, Dodge, Nip Size Chart Reference: 5 Their fur is softer than the finest of any silk. Their colors usually catch the attention of anyone around them, and inspire happiness. They are incredibly "lucky" creatures, or perhaps they are simply able to predict "bad things" to avoid them.. either is very likely. They are not only excellent swimmers, but they can "swim" through the air too! What a wonderful creature! Unfortunately, they're not quiiite large enough to ride - unless you happen to be the size of a fae or kapper... A final note, is like the Lotine, they are extremely shy and quiet creatures, and prefer to stay hidden from view - catching a glimpse of one should be considered very rare (and lucky), unless, of course - you are it's owner.

Half-breed: KÃgyó Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 25 mph, 30 (Swimming) Power Levels: 6 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 8 Strength: 10 Resistance: 5 Dexterity: 5 Mentality: 2 Special Abilities: Swim, Glide, Shadow Resistance, Light Weakness, Intimidation Moves: Bite, Constrict Size Chart Reference: 6 Wow.. Just.. Wow. These creatures are not only beasts of Shadow - but beasts of the water as well.. They can swim with ease, holding their breath for up to an hour, and can even leap into the air, gliding as far as the wind will take them. They're intimidating, and fierce - large and powerful. Not only that, but they make good mounts for sea-travel no doubt.

Half-breed: Pheryn Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 5 mph, 30 (Swimming) Power Levels: 5 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 5 Strength: 6 Resistance: 5 Dexterity: 4 Mentality: 5 Special Abilities: Stone Skin, Intimidation, Swim Moves: Bite, Roar, Dodge Size Chart Reference: 3 These big-headed creatures are quite awkward at best. They're frightening, that's for sure, and ar nimble enough to avoid damage in battle - but lack the seryn's "magic touch" - for they can never grant wishes, nor learn to fly.. It seems that they're more interested in completing their diet of meat, and other fish... Beware any local fisherman.

Half-breed: Amphanelt Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 30 mph, 20 (Swimming) Power Levels: 3 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 3 Strength: 2 Resistance: 2 Dexterity: 3 Mentality: 5 Special Abilities: Thorny Body, Swim, Nightvision Moves: Claw, Travel by Moonlight Size Chart Reference: 4 Creatures of the moonlit waterways, one could assume. Lanky, exceptionally clever, and vicious. They stalk the shores of rivers and lakes, drowning their victims. Luckily, their diet consists mainly of fish, which can be easily enough used to bribe them - and they are only ever awake during the night. Unfortunately, as they're quite elusive, they seem to be able to "disappear" into the moonlight - so catching one will be quite the trick.. Unless, of course - you owned it...

Half-breed: Leeroo Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 35 mph Power Levels: 3 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 2 Strength: 3 Resistance: 3 Dexterity: 6 Mentality: 1 Special Abilities: Hardy, Flutter Moves: Jump, Burrow, Kick Size Chart Reference: 2 These creatures are fairly clever, and quite durable.. Not only are they hardy little creatures, but they are fairly agile too! And though one might want to be cautious of their marvelous kicking power in their hind legs (and the fact that they may burrow holes in your carpet), their greatest benefit perhaps is that they can flap their tiny wings rapidly to hover briefly in the air!

Half-breed: Thunderbird Cunning: 2 Critter Average Top Speed: 5 mph, 75 (Flying) Power Levels: 3 Special Requirements: None Notes: Dexterity is only 3 when dodging/defending.. but is a full 11 when attacking. Stamina: 2 Strength: 0 Resistance: 0 Dexterity: 11 Mentality: 2 Special Abilities: Electrical Body, Fly Moves: Peck, Ker-Zaap!, Thunder Size Chart Reference: 3 If there's not much more frightening than an Electrical Elemental.. An Electrical Elemental mixed with a Storm Izer might be it. Not only is it similar to the Electrical Elemental in the fact that it can be a nearly eternal source of electricity (and dangerous too), but it can fly much higher into the sky than an Electrical Elemental alone can.. and it can touch you physically too.. One can be grateful however that this creature is much better at striking than it is at dodging - it's weak spot. A smart trainer would have a wrist-guard of pure rubber or wood to help prevent shock - though that in itself may not be enough. Luckily, this halfbreed cannot ever touch the ground itself, and fears the earth. It also needs at least 12 hours of sleep every day.

Half-breed: Lovern Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 10 mph, 30 (Swimming) Power Levels: 5 Special Requirements: None Notes: Gains a +5 bonus to Dexterity when in the water. Stamina: 7 Strength: 6 Resistance: 5 Dexterity: 4 Mentality: 3 Special Abilities: Water Resistance, Swim, Danger Sense Moves: Bite, Poison Sting, Constrict Size Chart Reference: 4 Sleek, Agile, Strong, and Beautiful - these "dragons of the water" are truly wondrous poisonous creatures. Though they cannot fly, their grace in the water is nearly un-matched - though on land they're quite awkward like elephant seals trying to flop about. Their delicate horn-crests display beautiful colors, and their fur seems to have a hard time making up it's mind as to what color it truly is, shimmering like the ocean's ripples. Unfortunately, they're only about the size of their Lotine parent, but they have gained quite a few enhanced abilities (such as grasping claws, and astounding strength and stamina)... Surely, these creatures would be a marvel to own.

Half-breed: Cliff Hoppers Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 35 mph, 40 (Flying) Power Levels: 3 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 3 Strength: 3 Resistance: 2 Dexterity: 6 Mentality: 1 Special Abilities: Nightvision, Cold Resistance, Light Sensitivity Moves: Claw, Peck, Wing Buff, Glide, Climb, Jump Size Chart Reference: 4 Roughly the size of a Caracal cat or Spanish Lynx, these nimble creatures can frequently be seen scattering, crawling, climbing, hopping, and jumping along the rocks of their cliff-side homes. They can easily enough adapt to caves, mountain regions, or even the "jungle" of a major city - as long as it's dark.. their sensitive eyes can't easily handle the light, as they rare truly creatures of the night - slinking along in the shadow, seeking out their next prey ... which usually consists of rabbits, birds, and other small prey animals. Unfortunately, they cannot fly or carry a rider - but they are quite clever, and can easily figure out puzzles (like how to open doors).

Half-breed: Vulton Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 40 mph, 15 (Fly) Power Levels: 4 Special Requirements: None Notes: Requires Exotic Riding to ride (cannot fly with rider). Stamina: 6 Strength: 6 Resistance: 4 Dexterity: 3 Mentality: 1 Special Abilities: Shadow Resistance, Fly, Light Weakness Moves: Bite, Breath Fire Size Chart Reference: 5 Though neither of their parents were, these creatures are remarkably skinny.. But don't let their outward appearance fool you, they're just as tough as their parents! Strong enough to carry a rider (and big enough too), these fire breathing creatures are also creatures of darkness. And - though their wings seem unreasonably small - they can fly, though science is not sure how.. perhaps it's best left to the magical part of the menagerie...

Half-breed: Vultiurn Cunning: 3 Animal Average Top Speed: 30 mph, 40 (Flying) Power Levels: 6 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 9 Strength: 7 Resistance: 6 Dexterity: 5 Mentality: 3 Special Abilities: Fly, Pack Instincts (Vulticus) Moves: Bite, Howl, Poison Sting Size Chart Reference: 6 These creatures are known to bond very well with their owners and even Vulticus, but one should always be wary of their poisonous tail, as with a Wiurn. They are marvelous at flying, but have a very difficult time "perching" or staying on the ground, because their hind legs don't match up with the "bat crawl" that a Wiurn normally does.

Half-breed: Shadestalker Cunning: 4 Beast Average Top Speed: 25 mph, 40 (Fly) Power Levels: 5 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 7 Strength: 5 Resistance: 3 Dexterity: 4 Mentality: 6 Special Abilities: Fly, Shadow Immunity, Ethereal Moves: Shadow Strike Size Chart Reference: 7 These giant shadowy beasts are truly frightening to behold.. though, they usually can't hurt you, as they're ethereal.. Shadow Strike however, seems to be their key ability, and they will use it. Unfortunately, because they are ethereal, they cannot carry a rider.

Half-breed: Chelan Cunning: 4 Beast Average Top Speed: 35 mph, 10 (Swim) Power Levels: 3 Special Requirements: None Notes: None Stamina: 3 Strength: 2 Resistance: 3 Dexterity: 3 Mentality: 4 Special Abilities: Thorny Body, Water Resistance, Nightvision Moves: Claw, Horn-Strike Size Chart Reference: 4 Creatures of the water and mind - these furry aquatic monsters are the more physical counterparts of their fellow cousins.. They tend not to hesitate when it comes to clawing or goring their foes with claw and horn.. And, like their cousins, they're frequently seen (if ever) in the middle of the night on the dark banks of rippling shores.
