The leopard blinked at the suggestion, trying to consider it. While he didn't want to actively er.. Watch the dogs in the process, he did want to ensure nothing went wrong. If anything could go wrong. Maybe they wouldn't actually like each other, for instance. The houluh didn't seem the type to consider their own privacy, as far as he knew, so he figured staying out in the hall would be more for their people's sake. They'd be right nearby so if some chaos did break out though, it wouldn't be too hard to get in there and break it up. And maybe he'd get to talk to Jack more beyond whatever the hounds were doing.
The door closed as the mammalian leaned up against the wall. "Mmhm.. Xentus supposes he wouldn't mind leaving them be. He is not keen on watching nature taking its course", he said with a light laugh, "Compared to say, pachee, this one wasn't sure if there would be anything extra involved. Berries, pollen.. And the like" Pachee didn't have much to consider about them either, but perhaps he was letting his inexperience speak.

Jack let a chuckle loose for a moment as she glanced at the closing door. She heard Magpie bark happily before the door was completely shut and then the sounds were muffled a bit. Leaning up against the wall, she glanced at the ceiling for a moment before nodding a bit, "Yeah, understandable that you might not know if anything else was in and all that. Most other have stuff you need to do of course, with these guys you just... put on a little show and they're good to go."
While the door closed Magpie was pretty interested in the Patronne, and she didn't know exactly what was going on, but she could figure all of this out no matter what! Another yip, which the woman chuckled a little when she briefly heard it through the door, and the woman shook her head a little as she thought about it. It would all be alright.

Laku's leash fluttered behind him as he darted about the room, taking full advantage of his freedom and privacy from his owner's eyes. The latter mattered little to the hound, but he did feel.. Emboldened. He could be bad now! Not.. That he would be. Still, the houluh's eyes briefly glanced to the closed door to double check that it was only he and the matronne alone here. Then, he bounded toward a knotted rope, taking it in his mouth and play-bowing to his partner. One of his ears flopped over his face, fur a mess.
"Good to know", Xentus said with a nod and a grin, "Xentus is quite looking forward to having some new pups about. Ah, and thinking of which, this one thanks you for the help in rearing Saku and Laku. He doesn't think he had the chance to give proper thanks" If not for Jack, he probably wouldn't have made it to this point..

Mapgie's eyes lit up at the invitation to play, and she darted forward to grab the other end, pulling lightly to make sure this is what he was wanting to do with this. If not, well, she could figure something out, but this was good enough for her at the moment at least! Growling lightly, she tugged softly again.
Giving a small wink, she noted, "Be careful, it's a slippery slope. You get one, and then you find yourself with a whole house full." Stretching out for a moment, fingers attempting to graze the ceiling, she shook her head with a smile, "Oh not at all! You're very welcome, I'm always happy to help a friend." Reaching out to pat him on the shoulder if he allowed, she glanced toward the closed door again for a brief moment. It was going to be fine, they would get some good pups, and hopefully Xentus would get what he was looking for as well.

The fluffy hound was more than thrilled that the lovely dam took him up on come tug of war. A playful growl sounded from his throat as he returned the tug, a little harder than she, teasing her to try to outdo him. While a bit more on the competitive side, Laku didn't want to outright overpower the matronne. He knew how to treat a lady, for the most part; he'd let Saku win their play fights and let her eat his food.
"Speaking from experience it sounds like", the man spoke with a chuckle, "Ah, do let Xentus know if he can ever do something to help in return, he would be more than happy to" The shoulder pat was accepted in kind, and he thought for a moment to clasp her hand to affirm his words.. So he did. Briefly and gently, genuine. He did hope the kind woman would see better days - all would be well.

Ah, yay! This was the point of it all then! Digging her paws into the floor a bit, she hauled back on the rope, though not quite as hard as she could, she didn't want to topple him over and get his lovely long, silky fur all tangled up and everything! Giving a low, playful growl, she took a small step back to try and get herself a little leverage all the same, just in case.
"Heh, yeah..." she said sheepishly. Smiling at the hand on hers, she squeezed his shoulder for a moment and then let go again. "Hey, thanks for giving me an excuse to get out of the house. I know there's been several reasons to, but... this was the best one yet, plus it actually got me out," Jack told him with a little smile. At least she had things to do, she just needed to get the energy to do them now that she had finally clawed her way out again.
