Zunzun Lately, Kadin hadn't been able to come out here as much as he'd like to. So much of his time had been wrapped up in working with houluh and sarane, both of which weren't known for their love of water. Truth be told? Kadin loved the docks. He loved to come out here and sit on the worn wood, watch boats come and go, listen for neptica jumping out of the water or pilathor emerging from the deep. It was peaceful. He missed swimming in wide open waters rather than the constantly rushing river where he ended up spending too much time with houluh. He looked out over the waters and sighed. He couldn't even be here for pleasure today, either. Kadin was only here to deliver some packages for an errand he was running and then he'd be off, once again, to probably go train some more. Of course, he couldn't go anywhere without a companion, and today Zunzun had accompanied him. The gallor seemed fascinated by the reflection of the light off the water the moment Kadin had stopped to take in the sights himself. Unwilling to pull the gallor away, he spoke a few soft words to it before leaving to go deliver his packages on his own, trusting the creature not to wander off too far while he was away. The gallor fluttered its wings, emitting a faint buzzing sound in Kadin's direction, before settling down with its feet tucked until itself, watching the water with continued fascination, its tail flicking idly behind it.

Jewel enjoyed the open space around the docks. As long as there weren't any giants ambling around, it was an ideal place to stretch and tumble; any visitors were typically more focused on the water than what was happening on the land, and that suited him perfectly if his practice went sour. A showoff is a showoff until they humiliate themselves. It was on such a day of exercise that he was interrupted by the most glorious sight.
He'd been upside down at the precise moment. Legs extended into the air, palms flat against the earth, inhaling as he pushed into a handstand. One eye happened to blink open, and there it was - the rainbow bird of his dreams, laying down at the water's edge mere yards away. He had never seen anything like it. It was hard to remain graceful as he let himself thud back to the ground, head whipping up in excitement to check he wasn't having some kind of bizarre adrenaline-fuelled fever dream.
No. A violently colourful gallor. Also Rosie, carrying Mr. Cheeps in her beak, but that was standard.
"Rosie... holy shit," He said, gesturing to the critter. The chiryma blinked. "C'mon, don't you see that? Let's go say hi, bird."
No owner in sight. Was this his lucky day? He wasn't a thief, but... finders keepers, losers weepers. He did his best to keep sensible distance in case the critter love of his life wasn't friendly, but wasn't above a scattering of kissy noises.
"Aww... who's a pretty birdy?"

The gallor was simply minding his own business, gazing out over the waters, until all of a sudden his wings twitched. Hmm. He tilted his head towards his wings, fluttering them so that they buzzed faintly. The very tip of his long tongue poked out of his beak as he studied his own wings, seemingly confused. Suddenly he turned his head a bit more, staring at the person that was standing behind himself. Oh! That's what it had been, something was behind him! The gallor carefully lifted himself up into a sitting position, shuffling his wings again as he rearraigned himself, and tilted his head at the strange new person, his tongue still poking just a little bit out of his long beak.
Clearly HE was the prettiest birdy.
Kadin, meanwhile, was working on completing his business. Of course, not everything was going to go to plan for him. He ended up having to take much more time than he wanted to on dropping off some random cargo, making the whole business take much longer than he would have liked. Considering that he had a gallor waiting for him to make his way back to it, he was in an extra foul mood when he was finally able to pull himself away and head his way back down the docks, looking to try and find Zunzun in the crowd. Hopefully he hadn't moved far from where he'd left him...
