Fee, Moondust Tailypo Level: 8 | Loyalty: 10 Stamina: 2 Strength: 0 Resistance: 0 Dexterity: 4 Mentality: 4 Abilities: Float, Magically Resistant, Shimmer, Shadow Weakness Moves: Bite, Travel By Moonlight, Deceptive Lure Trained: Travel by Moonlight (8) No matter what they did, Silver always seemed to be running late for things. They were nearly out of breath by the time they joined their place in the queue, only to find out that they weren't actually late at all. They sighed, half with relief and half with annoyance. There was no time to dwell on their mistakes, however. They had to get ready! "Hmm..." Silver said, looking at the brush in their hands. Usually, before a show, they would brush their creatures so that they looked nice. This, however, was a freak show. Would brushing really help? A bit of fur sticking up on Fee's back gave them an interesting thought. "Oh, I know..." they said to themselves. They used the brush to smooth out some of Fee's fur, but brushed a line down her back so that it stuck straight up. "Wow! You look terrifying. Perfect." They said with a smirk at their own genius. Fee was quickly annoyed by the brush rubbing her fur the wrong way and tried to bite it. "Okay okay. Good enough. Just in time, too," they said, seeing that it was their turn to go on stage. They took a deep breath, trying not to get too excited.
"H-hello my friends," Silver said as they stepped out into the show ring. "This is Fee, and she's here to, ah, to show you some of her very strange abilities."
Silver smiled at the Tailypo in their arms. She continued to scowl, since she was still mad about the terrible fur mohawk they gave her. "Allow me to demonstrate," they said. "Fee here might look like a cute little kitty, but she's actually lighter than air."
They held up a decorative balloon they brought for the occasion, and showed it around to the crowd. Then, they tied the string loosely around her tummy. She immediately started to float out of their hands and up into the air, as if she was being pulled into the air by the impossibly light balloon.

Silver watched nervously as Fee rose into the air. She looked like a ghost with her iridescent white fur and the slightly awkward way she moved made her seem even more unsettling. She was an unconventional pick for a show like this, sure, but she was pretty freaky in her own unique way.
Fee watched closely for what would happen next, as this was the part she was looking forward to. Actually, it was the only part that she was interested in at all. The treats. Silver revealed a long green scarf they had been hiding on their person and said, "Quick, Fee, grab on, before you drift away into the clouds!"
They balled up the end of the scarf and tossed it up to her. She grabbed it with her teeth and and as they tugged, she floated close and closer to them, making it look like she was being dragged down to earth. Silver did their best to make it look like it was difficult to pull her back, like they were struggling against a mighty force.

They had very carefully planned it so that their choreographed dance ended with Fee being able to touch some moonlight trickling in through a window. Everything had been leading up to this, the grand finale. Silver looked into the trio of eyes and trusted that their practice would pay off. Fee, well, she was just interested in eating her treats and going home.
"Fee, wait! I don't know if I can hold on any longer!" Silver said in an overly-dramatic tone that they recognized was a bit silly. Ah well, anything for a good show. They winked at Fee and whispered so that only she could hear, "Vanish, fee, vanish."
Silver flicked the scarf upwards, and at the same time, Fee teleported away, vanishing into thin air. The scarf fell to the floor in a crumpled heap, and the balloon floated off toward the ceiling. While the crowd looked at the scarf, Silver's eyes and hands were already on to the next part of the show.

Another day, another contest. This one might be a little mean to say on the tin, but no one would be able to claim that Kimu didn't quality for it. Kadin walked into the arena with the wiurn, no clear plan in mind for how they'd swing their performance (for a performance these things tended to be), but he knew the wiurn's abilities well enough to have an idea of what we'll do with it. He figured it would be best to start off with something easy and then work up to something a little more intense as time went on. So as he presented his wiurn, he said, "This creature isn't like others. Despite his natural instincts and cunning not being that bright, he's still possess the uncanny ability to dodge whatever danger comes his way."
At this, he tossed a rock at the wiurn from behind his back, showing how Kimu could nimbly dance aside.

"Now I know you are just making trouble for me because you like the attention." the fox accuses his cat, as the mask flips off his head, cuffing his ears on the way off to topple backwards and clatter to the ground while he waits for his own turn on stage. The mischievous glint in the cat's eyes doesn't settled the matter. She just crouches in her travel box, voicing angry cat noises over the capture. Stupid fox put her in a box that she does NOT fit in, it is too big! Unwilling to let her out, she just makes his life hell instead. "Alright, fine. But you have to wear something in order to go on stage." he reaches out and unlatches the crate door before the tailypo swats him with her tails on the way to the floor. Shakes herself, fluffs up, sneezes and gives him a glare. Where were they anyway?! The subtle food lure of her favorite cookie does draw the cat back within his reach enough to grab the tailypo carefully round the middle, set her on his knees and start carefully fitting a snake themed collar around her neck. The hat and broom set that he'd borrowed off someone had to be wrapped on. A smart fox would've worked on getting her to accept wearing such things before hand. Ha. No. Thankfully the collar is a one size fits all, with the coils being compressible and doesn't hang off like a gaudy piece of jewelry. [Fits on the snake choker and the witch hat/broom costume]

"Oh no!" Silver said as if they were shocked by what happened. "Fee! Fee? Where could you be?"
Silver picked up the scarf and tossed it aside, revealing a single chocolate coin laying on the ground. They had slid it into place quickly while they pretended to look under the scarf. They grabbed the coin and held it out for the audience to see. While doing this, they took a step back to make sure that they were now standing in the sliver of moonlight trickling into the hall.
"It looks like she's turned into a silver coin!" they said with in an over-the-top manner. They were a terrible actor, really, but at least it was entertaining! "Let's see if we can change her back!"
Fee was too impatient to wait for her next cue, and she appeared on their shoulder a moment too early, causing them to genuinely jump in fright. They quickly palmed the coin and finished the show.
"Everyone, that was Fee, the lighter-than-air, disappearing, re-appearing kitty cat!" Silver bowed, causing Fee to dig her claws in to keep her balance.

"And despite being such a fearsome predator, easily able to destroy most any opponent, he's tame as can be when asked to be a beast of burden." Kadin demonstrated this next bit by getting on the wiurn's very back, showing the crowd that something even with Kimu's fearsome appearance could be as tame any any vulticus when properly trained. Was that freaky? He put the wiurn through his paces, riding him around the arena on the ground, probably making more of a spectacle as people watched him try to keep his seat on a grounded wiurn than the actual mount training itself. It probably made quite the sight, the wiurn moving forward on wings and hind limbs, front limbs occasionally touching the ground for balance, bones and decaying flesh on display as he moved forward, turned, sped up, or whatever whim Kadin seemed to put him through. Eventually, he asked the wiurn to stop.

His point had probably been made at that point. He slid down off the wiurn's back and turned to the crowd, suddenly wondering if all that hobbling around hadn't given them a good enough view. He turned to Kimu again, calling on him to give them a bit of a closer look.
"Fly, Kimu. Show them what you've got!" The wiurn lifted his wings, taking to the air. Kadin called out directions once again, this time from the ground, as he had the wiurn fly over the crowds, practically touching them with his patched body and rotting limbs as he flew in slow, lazy circles. Kadin only had him do a few laps before he felt that his point had been driven home, properly demonstrating just why his wiurn deserved to be in this competition. He called him back, telling him to land back in the arena so that they could continue.

"Not only is he a sight to behold, he can be pretty fearsome when he needs to be." Kadin commented once the wiurn was back down in the arena, shuffling over to him with his awkward gait in order to get near him. "You might want to cover your ears for this." Kimu tilted his head, watching the human, as he turned back to the wiurn. "Kimu, growl." Kadin instructed.
Kimu huffed and shook his head before letting out a low growl, the vibrations reverberating throughout the arena. It was something that could be felt more than it could be heard, in truth, and if the sight of him flying hadn't put some people on edge, maybe this would. "Good." Kadin praised. "Now roar."
The wiurn huffed again and leaned back, opening its mouth to let out a mighty roar that echoed throughout the building. Surely this would convince people of how terrifying he was?

"Good, now dodge!" Kadin tossed another rock his way, the wiurn stumbled to try and dodge it. "Now bash!" Kadin said, directing him towards some targets that had been set up around the arena. He wanted to demonstrate more of the power and threat of something like Kimu running at you. He'd set up targets around a couple points in the arena, where the crowds were the thickest, so that they could feel as if they were being run down by the wiurn and smashed along with the targets. Kadin had him run around the arena, occasionally dodging rocks and other obstacles, throwing his weight into the targets and making the stands shake with the power behind his attack. The move itself wasn't anything special, but hopefully the sight of the wiurn bearing down on the people would have enough of a lasting impact to leave an impression they could take home to tell their families about.

"Not only can he make your very bones shake with his roar or just by standing too close to him while he's on the rampage, this wiurn someone has two different types of toxin that he can use to disable his foes." Kadin explained, directing attention at two different dummies now set up in the center of the ring. These were different than the others, not solid and something to hit hard. Instead, they were near translucent, showing the soft insides to better demonstrate when Kimu injected them with various toxins.
"Kimu, sting." Kadin started with, watching as the wiurn's tail whipped forward to inject the first dummy with a toxin. "Now venom!" He called him to attack the other next, whipping out his tail again to sting it. Then, side by side, the audience could watch as each dummy was affected differently. How did that even work? That shouldn't be possible!

How was a creature able to have two different toxins in his tail? This wasn't natural at all! Any creature like that was truly a freak of nature! Or so Kadin hoped to show.
"But that's not all." Because of course it wouldn't be. "He can do so much more, although I'm not sure I'd call this one a toxin." Kadin pulled out another dummy, similar to the others. Right next to it was a solid one like the ones Kimu had been bashing around the arena. Kadin glanced and Kimu and then directed him towards both. "Kimu, plague."
The wiurn went up to the dummies. He reared up onto his hind legs and touched each one with his rotting forelimbs. Sickness spread through the dummies. The solid one began to crumble, pieces flaking off and falling to the ground, while the second one slowly darkened before it began to melt away, leaving nothing behind.

"You might think that a creature like this could be intimidated away. Surely there might be something that even he fears?" Kadin called in another creature for this part. He'd requested something intimidating or even commanding, but something that wasn't trained to withstand something scary back. And old, scarred, tainted Equillion entered the arena. It pawed at the ground, snarling and showing off its teeth. Everyone knew of their fearsome reputation. But Kimu was unfazed. Kadin directed him to approach the equillion, demonstrating to everyone that Kimu would not be afraid of anything else that might try to challenge him, unlike normal creatures that actually possessed survival instinct. And, in turn, the equillion backed away, wanting nothing to do with the wiurn. "Even other beasts fear him. All in all, I think it's easy enough to show that he fits in well with the competition, wouldn't you say?" Or at least he hoped he'd been able to demonstrate as such.
